With the continuous growth of signal frequency and package density, discontinuity of the high-frequency interconnection in 3 D micro/nano integration becomes unavoidable, which results in serious signal integrity problems. Traditional interconnection design schemes, such as termination and shielding/isolation, cannot meet the requirements under the unified constraints of specific cost, space occupancy, and performance. In this study, a transmission line design optimization scheme based on the segmental transmission line(STL) methodology is proposed. The genetic algorithm is used to select the optimal segment structure parameters of the transmission line to construct an STL with satisfying transmission performance or meet the specific signal amplitude adjustment requirements. This scheme can be adapted to various signal transmission scenarios to significantly improve the signal loss caused by reflection or other negative electromagnetic factors and meet the requirements for the modeling of discontinuous transmission lines. The simulation results show that this scheme is effective in the design scenario of performance improvement or equivalent modeling of discontinuous transmission lines and has significant advantages in circuit area reduction. 展开更多

By in situ hybridization histochemistry, the changes of preprotachykinin (PPT) mRNA expression were examined in the neurons of adjacent thoracal dorsal root ganglion (DRG) after a strong electric stimulation to an intact dorsal cutaneous branch and the cut distal part of left T 9 thoracal spinal nerve of rat. There was a significant increase of the number of neurons expressing PPT mRNA in the ipsilateral T 8, T 9 and T 10 DRG of the animals given electric stimulation to intact spinal nerve branch 24 h after the electric stimulation. The same increase was found in the ipsilateral T 8 and T 10 DRG of the animals given electric stimulation to the distal part of spinal nerve branch. While no change was found in the DRG of the contralateral side of these animals. The present results showed that the antidromic electric stimulation strengthened the biosynthesis of PPT mRNA in adjacent DRG. These findings suggested that there was information transmission across segments between two sensory nerve endings and some bioactive substances such as SP might play important roles in the information transmission across segments of spinal cord. 展开更多

Purpose-The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new data dissemination model in order to improve the performance of transmission in VANET.It proposes a protocol named Epidemic and Transmission-Segmentbased Geographic Routing(ETSGR)and outlining the issues due to high mobility of nodes and uncertain physical topologies in the network. The proposed ETSGR is mainly used to analyze the vehicle state, direction, distance, traffic density and link quality of the network.Design/methodology/approach-This research work based on ETSGR protocol mainly uses epidemic algorithmin order to find the vehicle state based on susceptible, infected and recovered(SIR)model.Furthermore, the vehicle position and finding the head node in the network is utilized using the transmission segment protocol based on geographic routing and analyses each node to formthe segments and find the destination to transmit the data in timely manner.Findings-The paper provides the enhancement of the performance based on some metrics such as end-to-end delaythat obtained 0.62%,data throughput as 32.3%,packetdelivery ratio as 67%and one-hop communicationas 13%.The proposed ETSGR protocolanalyzes the state of the vehiclecorrectly and each node segmented to transmit the data with the timely manner and obtaining reliable performanceeven with highmobility of nodes in the network.Research limitations/implications-The proposed ETSGR protocol may have some limitation when considering the timing which should improve even in increasing many number of vehicles and different road segments.Practical implications-This paper includes some suggestions for the practical deployment of the approach in which a real-time traffic analysis can be evaluated for taking prior actions during an emergency situation and proper dissemination of data in timely manner can help utilize the guidance of proper planning of roads.Originality/value-This research fulfills an enhanced protocol to improve the performance of data dissemination. 展开更多
