As a non-mainstream group with a large proportion in the pluralistic society of the United States,the literary forms of the black and Asian groups have always attracted much attention.The Bluest Eyes and Everything I Never Told You appeared in different social times and told about different ethnic and cultural backgrounds,they both involved the exclusion of non-mainstream ethnic groups by the mainstream white society and the denial and loss of personal identity of the two different ethnic groups in the face of the mainstream culture.This paper will make a comparative analysis of these two works.By comparing the loss of self-racial identity of the protagonists in the two novels,this paper will make an in-depth discussion of the survival status of African Americans and Asians,and reveal the self-identity loss of black people and Asian people in the mainstream culture.Through comparative analysis,more scholars pay attention to this issue,which is of great practical significance to further understand the literary dynamics of African American and Asian ethnic groups.

Reflections on Self-identity——From the perspectives of Education and Work

Self-identity is multi-dimensional instead of uni-dimensional. We can not only employ one of the facets of self-identity to measure it as a whole. Work is definitely one of the categories of self-identity but it is not the only category to identify people themselves. Even if we don't discuss the psychological elements on this issue, from the perspective of sociology, self-identity is also closely related with education, culture, ethnics and so on. In this essay, we only correlate the issue of self-identity in the context of relating education with work. Although either education or work is seen as the separate category of self-identity, in practice, self-identity is achieved through the collaboration and mutual effects of education and work due to the close relationship between the two of them. Therefore, education, as the base and threshold to work, "life long education" and cross-disciplinary knowledge education should be promoted in order to help people establish the positive self-identity.

Healing Dysfunctional Identity: Bridging Mind-Body Intervention to Brain Systems

In this paper, we aim to use an innovative model to integrate applied work on a fast-acting mind-body intervention, Mind-Body Bridging (MBB), with theoretical work based on psychology and neuroscience. In an affect-object generative inference and regulation (AGIR) model, we propose that functional dynamics between two systems, the affect-object thought generation system and the cognitive control system, can guide an individual to achieve homeostasis within self and harmonious relationships with others. We used Neurosynth (www.neurosynth.org), an automated meta-analysis database, to identify potential brain substrates underlying the key components in the AGIR model. Based on the findings, some brain regions are implicated as the key cortical substrates in this model, corroborating our central hypothesis that a hallmark of mind-body wellbeing can be characterized as a low-frequency anti-correlantion between 1) the cognitive control system including the dorsal anterior/middle cingulate cortex, and 2) the affect-object thought generation system including the ventromedial prefrontal cortex and posterior cingulate cortex. MBB provides an efficient strategy for responding to and dissolving a fundamental problem that impairs mind-body wellbeing, i.e., unrealistic identity-grasping consisting of self-centered embodied expectations of self and others. We demonstrated how theoretical and applied work could be integrated by drawing evidence from the neuroscience literature to support the AGIR model, and then we applied the AGIR model to elucidate how MBB might work.

为探究西藏中小学音乐教师职业发展情况,研究运用PLS-SEM方法分析西藏地区109名中小学音乐教师职业认同、自我效能感和工作投入间的关系,并对其影响机制展开研究。结果发现:西藏中小学音乐教师职业认同和自我效能感均正向影响工作投入;职业认同正向影响自我效能感;自我效能感在职业认同和工作投入之间起部分中介作用;是否师范专业毕业与生育情况起到调节自我效能感在职业认同和工作投入关系间的中介效应作用。

Self-adaptive large neighborhood search algorithm for parallel machine scheduling problems

A self-adaptive large neighborhood search method for scheduling n jobs on m non-identical parallel machines with mul- tiple time windows is presented. The problems＇ another feature lies in oversubscription, namely not all jobs can be scheduled within specified scheduling horizons due to the limited machine capacity. The objective is thus to maximize the overall profits of processed jobs while respecting machine constraints. A first-in- first-out heuristic is applied to find an initial solution, and then a large neighborhood search procedure is employed to relax and re- optimize cumbersome solutions. A machine learning mechanism is also introduced to converge on the most efficient neighborhoods for the problem. Extensive computational results are presented based on data from an application involving the daily observation scheduling of a fleet of earth observing satellites. The method rapidly solves most problem instances to optimal or near optimal and shows a robust performance in sensitive analysis.

Self-consistent Sources and Conservation Laws for Sup er-Geng Equation Hierarchy

Based on the matrix Lie super algebra and supertrace identity, the integrable super-Geng hierarchy with self-consistent is established. Furthermore, we establish the infinitely many conservation laws for the integrable super-Geng hierarchy. The methods derived by us can be generalized to other nonlinear equation hierarchies.

Parameter Self - Learning of Generalized Predictive Control Using BP Neural Network

This paper describes the self—adjustment of some tuning-knobs of the generalized predictive controller(GPC).A three feedforward neural network was utilized to on line learn two key tuning-knobs of GPC,and BP algorithm was used for the training of the linking-weights of the neural network.Hence it gets rid of the difficulty of choosing these tuning-knobs manually and provides easier condition for the wide applications of GPC on industrial plants.Simulation results illustrated the effectiveness of the method.

An Inquiry Into the Concept of the African Personality (Person) as a Social-Self

It is a fact of history that the African continent had experienced enslavement and colonialism which,unfortunately,led to the uprootedness of the being of the African.Consequently,one of the great tasks which faced the post-independent African was to come to terms with his selfhood,to construct the truth of his world.This largely helped in forming both the personal identity and the narrative identity of the African personality.This paper critically inquires into how this narrative identity that issued forth from the quest for the establishment of his being or selfhood(or individuality)helps in defining the collective identity of the African as a social being or self.One crucial question before this paper is whether the self loses his selfhood as an African in the collectivity or communalism of the African culture(way of life)together with his freedom and autonomy(of the individual),which are the essential and transcendental qualities of man.Through critical analytic and hermeneutic methods,this paper found out that the African metaphysics of reality or worldview almost sacrifices the freedom and autonomy of the self(as an individual)at the altar of the community,which constitutes its greatest pitfall.Thus,it is a considered conclusion of this paper that the concept of African personality(person or identity)as a social-self appears to ignore certain values that are clearly cherished by individuals practically in all cultures.

The Issue of Self-concept：Perceptions of Chinese Student Teachers about Their Roles

This article has presented some stereotypical views held by Western people about Chinese teachers,and then clarified these misperceptions caused by Western people's different understanding of the meanings of "teacher authority","double parental identities",and"strictness"compared to their Chinese counterparts.Then a case study of three Chinese student teachers studying in one Australian university is conducted to analyze their feelings and experiences of teaching in Australia.Finally,the study suggests that Chinese teacher must retain the essence of Chinese good teachers while adopting the advantages of Western teaching culture to improve his / her own teaching practice,and if so,these self changes could be significant to recreate themselves as new Chinese teachers.

T-IP: A Self-Trustworthy and Secure Internet Protocol

IPsec has become an important supplement of IP to provide security protection. However, the heavyweight IPsec has a high transmission overhead and latency, and it cannot provide the address accountability. We propose the self-trustworthy and secure Internet protocol(T-IP) for authenticated and encrypted network layer communications. T-IP has the following advantages:(1) Self-Trustworthy IP address.(2) Low connection latency and transmission overhead.(3) Reserving the important merit of IP to be stateless.(4) Compatible with the existing TCP/IP architecture. We theoretically prove the security of our shared secret key in T-IP and the resistance to the known session key attack of our security-enhanced shared secret key calculation. Moreover, we analyse the possibility of the application of T-IP, including its resilience against the man-in-the-middle attack and Do S attack. The evaluation shows that T-IP has a much lower transmission overhead and connection latency compared with IPsec.
