Powdery mildew is a serious disease caused by Blumeria graminis f.sp.tritici(Bgt)that critically threatens the yield and quality of wheat(Triticum aestivum L.).Using effective powdery mildew resistance genes is the op...Powdery mildew is a serious disease caused by Blumeria graminis f.sp.tritici(Bgt)that critically threatens the yield and quality of wheat(Triticum aestivum L.).Using effective powdery mildew resistance genes is the optimal method for controlling this disease.Against the background of high genetic homogeneity among the modern commercial cultivars that are mainly derived from conventional interbreeding,the resistance genes from wheat relatives have especially prominent advantages.Octoploid triticale,produced from common wheat and rye(Secale cereale L.)through distant hybridization,is a new synthetic species and valuable gene donor for wheat improvement.In this study,we developed the wheat-rye line YT5 through the hybridization of octaploid triticale and two wheat lines.YT5 was confirmed to be a 6RL ditelosomic addition and 1R(1B)substitution line using genomic in situ hybridization(GISH),multicolor fluorescence in situ hybridization(mc-FISH),multicolor GISH(mc-GISH)and molecular marker analysis.Genetic analysis showed that the powdery mildew resistance in YT5 was derived from the rye chromosome arm 6RL.After inoculation with different Bgt isolates at the seedling stage,YT5 had compound reaction patterns with both obvious spores and hypersensitivity,and it gradually became highly resistant until the adult-plant stage,thus showing a resistance response significantly different from the reported Pm genes from rye chromosome 6RL.YT5 also showed promising agronomic performance,so it is expected to be an elite resistance donor for wheat improvement.To promote the transfer of the chromosome arm 6RL of YT5 in marker-assisted selection(MAS)breeding,we selected and verified two 6RL-specific kompetitive allelespecific PCR(KASP)markers that can be applied to efficiently detect this chromosome arm in different wheat backgrounds.展开更多
BACKGROUND The combination of anti-epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)therapy and chemotherapy is currently a preferred first-line treatment for patients with unre-sectable,RAS and BRAF wild-type,left-sided metasta...BACKGROUND The combination of anti-epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)therapy and chemotherapy is currently a preferred first-line treatment for patients with unre-sectable,RAS and BRAF wild-type,left-sided metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC).Several studies have also demonstrated the benefit of anti-EGFR therapy in sub-sequent line settings for this patient population.However,direct evidence com-paring the effectiveness of frontline vs subsequent anti-EGFR therapy remains limited,leaving a crucial gap in guiding optimal treatment strategies.AIM To compare overall survival(OS)between frontline and subsequent anti-EGFR treatment in patients with unresectable,RAS and BRAF wild-type,left-sided mCRC.METHODS We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of mCRC patients treated at The King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital and Songklanagarind Hospital,Thailand,between January 2013 and April 2023.Patients were classified into two groups based on the sequence of their anti-EGFR treatment.The primary endpoint was OS.RESULTS Among 222 patients with a median follow-up of 29 months,no significant difference in OS was observed between the frontline and subsequent-line groups(HR 1.03,95%CI:0.73-1.46,P=0.878).The median OS was 35.53 months(95%CI:26.59-44.47)for the frontline group and 31.60 months(95%CI:27.83-35.37)for the subsequent-line group.In the subsequent-line group,71 patients(32.4%)who ultimately never received anti-EGFR therapy had a significantly worse median OS of 19.70 months(95%CI:12.87-26.53).CONCLUSION Frontline and subsequent-line anti-EGFR treatments provide comparable OS in unresectable,RAS/BRAF wild-type,left-sided mCRC patients,but early exposure is vital for those unlikely to receive subsequent therapy.展开更多

CSEC cells grow actively and stably more than 50 ...A new cell line, CSEC, has been successfully established from embryos at gastrula stage of a cultured marine fish, half smooth tongue sole (Cynoglossus sernilaevis). CSEC cells grow actively and stably more than 50 passages for over 200 d in DMEM medium supplemented with 15% FBS (fetal bovine serum), 2.5 ng/cm^3 bFGF (basic fibroblast growth factor), 1 ng/cm^3 LIF (leukemia inhibitory factor) and 50 mmol/dm^3 2-ME (2-mecaptoethanol). The cells grew well in the temperature range of 24-30 ℃ and the optimal growth temperature was 24 ℃. FBS and bFGF concentrations are the two key components for CSEC cells proliferation. Chromosome analysis reveals that CSEC cells have a normal diploid karyotype with 2n=42t. The significant fluorescent signals were observed in CSEC after transfection with the GFP reporter gene, suggesting that the CSEC cell line can be used as a useful tool for transgenic and genetic manipulation studies. CSEC cells showed the cytopathic effect (CPE) after infection with lymphosystis disease virus (LCDV) in 2 d. Moreover, the LCDV particles can be observed in the cytoplasm of virus-infected cells by electron microscopy. It suggests that CSEC could be potentially used for the study of aquatic virus.展开更多

This paper quantitatively studies the transient dynamic response of a semi-submersible production platform with the loss of one or several positioning mooring lines.A semi-submersible platform,production risers,and po...This paper quantitatively studies the transient dynamic response of a semi-submersible production platform with the loss of one or several positioning mooring lines.A semi-submersible platform,production risers,and positioning mooring lines are all included in the numerical simulation.Increased motion of the semi-submersible platform,tension variation of the remaining mooring lines/risers and the risk of mooring line or riser clashing are all investigated through fully coupled time-domain analysis.Combined environmental loads are selected from irregular waves and the steady current varying from very rough to extreme sea conditions.Three dimension radiation/diffraction theories and Morison’s equation are applied to calculate first-order wave force and second-order mean drift force of floating semi-submersible platform.Nonlinear time-domain finite element methods are employed to analyze the behavior of mooring lines and risers.Results show that the failure of mooring lines seriously reduce the platform’s stability performance.The tension of the rest lines is also increased accordingly.Remaining lines which are closer to the failed lines will have larger tension increase to compensate.Line-Line distance provides practical information for the risk of clashing investigation.展开更多

In this paper, a comprehensive fatigue analysis is conducted on the mooring lines applied in a semi-submersible platform with special focus on the low frequency(LF) fatigue damage. Several influential factors, including water depth, wave spectral parameters, and riser system, are considered. Numerical simulation of a semi-submersible platform with the mooring/riser system is executed under different conditions, and the fatigue damage of mooring lines is assessed by using the time domain analysis method as a benchmark. The effects of these factors on the mooring line tension and the fatigue damage are investigated and discussed in detail. Research results indicate that the LF fatigue damage only accounts for a very small portion of the total damage, although the LF components dominate the global motion response and the mooring line tension of the semi-submersible platform. However, it is demonstrated that the LF fatigue damage is clearly affected by the influential factors. The increase in water depth and spectral peak periods, and the existence of risers can weaken the contribution of the LF components to the mooring line fatigue damage, while the fatigue damage due to the LF components increases with the increase of significant wave height.展开更多

The authors studied two semi on\|line multiprocessor scheduling problems, in which, the total processing time of all tasks is known in advance, or all processing times lie in a given interval. They proposed approximation algorithms for minimizing the makespan and analyzed their performance guarantee. With application of a magnetic field, a metal-to-insulator-like transition in ρ(T) and a nonsaturating MR are observed at low temperatures. The dHvA oscillations reveal a small Fermi-surface pocket with a nontrivial Berry phase. The analysis of the nonlinear Hall resistivity shows that TiSi is a multiband system with low carrier densities and high mobilities. All these results unambiguously prove the existence of Dirac fermions in TiSi.展开更多

Here using first-principles calculations, we find that the non-centrosymmetric PbTaS2 is a topological nodal line semimetal. In the absence of spin-orbit coupling (SOC), one band inversion happens around a high symmetrical H point, which leads to forming a nodal line. The nodal line is robust and protected against gap opening by mirror reflection symmetry even with the inclusion of strong SOC. In addition, it also hosts exotic drumhead surface states either inside or outside the projected nodal ring depending on surface termination. The robust bulk nodal lines and drumhead-like surface states with SOC in PbTaS2 make it a potential candidate material for exploring the freakish properties of the topological nodal line fermions in condensed matter systems.展开更多

The LCP employed was a semi-flexible liquid crystalline copolyesteramide based on 30% (molar fraction ) of p-amino benzoic acid (ABA ) and 70% (molar fraction) of poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET). The LCP/PA66 blends were investigated in terms of the thermal and dynamic mechanical properties. It was found that PA66 and LCP components of the blends are miscible in the molten state, but are partially miscible in the solid state. The inclusion of the semi-flexible LCP into PA66 retards the crystallization rate of PA66. Furthermore, the melting temperature and the degree of crystallinity of PA66 are reduced considerably due to the LCP addition.展开更多

These results show that both of the two lasers' outputs synchronize with their input chaotic carriers. In addition, simulations demonstrate that this kind of synchronization can be used to realize bidirectional communications without delay line. Further studies indicate that within a small deviation in message amplitudes of two sides (±6%), the message can be extracted with signal-noise-ratio more than 10 dB; and the signal-noise-ratio is extremely sensitive to the message rates mismatch of two sides, which may be used as a key of bidirectional communication.展开更多

A micromotor-slide block system serves as theparameter control executive element with the monitoring of respf,are signal and the con-trolling of micromotor performed by a microcomputer. In this study,we established a new cell line(Cynoglossus semilaevis kidney cells,CSK)from kidney of the half-smooth tongue sole(Cynoglossus semilaevis).The cells were subcultured over 1000 days and passaged for more t...In this study,we established a new cell line(Cynoglossus semilaevis kidney cells,CSK)from kidney of the half-smooth tongue sole(Cynoglossus semilaevis).The cells were subcultured over 1000 days and passaged for more than 100 times.Additionally,CSK cells were optimally maintained in Dulbecco's modified Eagle medium nutrient mixture F-12 supplemented with HEPES,antibiotics,fetal bovine serum,2-mercaptoethanol,and basic fibroblast growth factor.The optimum growth temperature for CSK cells was 25℃,and the cells showed a fibroblast-like phenotype.Chromosome analysis revealed that CSK cells had a normal diploid karyotype with 2 n=42.CSK cells were susceptible to Grouper nervous necrosis virus(NNV),and cytopathic ef fects were observed at 3–5 days postinfection.The NNV sensitivity of CSK cells was related to the high abundance of virions in the cytoplasm,as observed by electron microscopy.Additionally,CSK cells could be successfully transfected with a green fluorescent protein reporter plasmid,and fluorescent signals were easily observed.Finally,immunocytochemistry analysis showed that CSK cells were supporting cells.Overall,we established this new cell line,which may have potential applications in the identification of viral pathogens af fecting the half-smooth tongue sole.展开更多

We mainly study the binding energy and the spin–spin corr...We study the Kondo screening of a spin-1/2 magnetic impurity in the hybrid nodal line semimetals(NLSMs) and the type-Ⅱ NLSMs by using the variational method. We mainly study the binding energy and the spin–spin correlation between magnetic impurity and conduction electrons. We find that in both the hybrid and type-Ⅱ cases, the density of states(DOS) is always finite, so the impurity and the conduction electrons always form bound states, and the bound state is more easily formed when the DOS is large. Meanwhile, due to the unique dispersion relation and the spin–orbit couplings in the NLSMs, the spatial spin–spin correlation components show very interesting features. Most saliently, various components of the spatial spin–spin correlation function decay with 1/r^(2) in the hybrid NLSMs, while they follow 1/r^(3) decay in the type-Ⅱ NLSMs. This property is mainly caused by the special band structures in the NLSMs, and it can work as a fingerprint to distinguish the two types of NLSMs.展开更多
Mechanically lined pipe(MLP)is often used for offshore oil and gas transport because of its low cost and corrosion resistance.During installation and operation,the pipe may undergo severe bending deformation,which cau...Mechanically lined pipe(MLP)is often used for offshore oil and gas transport because of its low cost and corrosion resistance.During installation and operation,the pipe may undergo severe bending deformation,which causes the liner to separate from the outer pipe and buckles,affecting the stability of the whole line.In this paper,the buckling response of MLP subjected to bending is investigated to clarify its bending characteristics by employing both experiments,numerical simulation,as theoretical methods.Two types of MLPs were manufactured with GB 45 carbon steel(SLP)and Al 6061(ALP)used as the outer pipe material,respectively.The hydraulic expansion and bending experiments of small-scale MLPs are conducted.In addition to the ovalized shape of the cross-section for the SLP specimens,the copper liner was found to wrinkle on the compressive side.In contrast,the liner of ALP remains intact without developing any wrinkling and collapse mode.In addition,a dedicated numerical framework and theoretical models were also established.It was found both the manufacturing and bending responses of the MLP can be well reproduced,and the predicted maximum moment and critical curvatures are in good agreement with the experimental results.展开更多

文摘This paper quantitatively studies the transient dynamic response of a semi-submersible production platform with the loss of one or several positioning mooring lines.A semi-submersible platform,production risers,and positioning mooring lines are all included in the numerical simulation.Increased motion of the semi-submersible platform,tension variation of the remaining mooring lines/risers and the risk of mooring line or riser clashing are all investigated through fully coupled time-domain analysis.Combined environmental loads are selected from irregular waves and the steady current varying from very rough to extreme sea conditions.Three dimension radiation/diffraction theories and Morison’s equation are applied to calculate first-order wave force and second-order mean drift force of floating semi-submersible platform.Nonlinear time-domain finite element methods are employed to analyze the behavior of mooring lines and risers.Results show that the failure of mooring lines seriously reduce the platform’s stability performance.The tension of the rest lines is also increased accordingly.Remaining lines which are closer to the failed lines will have larger tension increase to compensate.Line-Line distance provides practical information for the risk of clashing investigation.
文摘The paper investigates a semi on-line scheduling problem wherein the largest processing time of jobs done by three uniform machines M1, M2, M3 is known in advance. A speed si (s1=1, s2=r, s3=s, 1≤r≤s) is associated with machine Mi. Our goal is to maximize Cmin?the minimum workload of the three machines. We present a min3 algorithm and prove its competitive ratio is max{r+1,(3s+r+1)/(1+r+s)}, with the lower bound being at least max{2,r}. We also claim the competitive ratio of min3 algo- rithm cannot be improved and is the best possible for 1≤s≤2, r=1.

文摘Assessing the fatigue life of mooring systems is important for deep water structures. In this paper, a comprehensive fatigue analysis is conducted on the mooring lines applied in a semi-submersible platform with special focus on the low frequency(LF) fatigue damage. Several influential factors, including water depth, wave spectral parameters, and riser system, are considered. Numerical simulation of a semi-submersible platform with the mooring/riser system is executed under different conditions, and the fatigue damage of mooring lines is assessed by using the time domain analysis method as a benchmark. The effects of these factors on the mooring line tension and the fatigue damage are investigated and discussed in detail. Research results indicate that the LF fatigue damage only accounts for a very small portion of the total damage, although the LF components dominate the global motion response and the mooring line tension of the semi-submersible platform. However, it is demonstrated that the LF fatigue damage is clearly affected by the influential factors. The increase in water depth and spectral peak periods, and the existence of risers can weaken the contribution of the LF components to the mooring line fatigue damage, while the fatigue damage due to the LF components increases with the increase of significant wave height.
文摘In the classical multiprocessor scheduling problems, it is assumed that the problems are considered in off\|line or on\|line environment. But in practice, problems are often not really off\|line or on\|line but somehow in between. This means that, with respect to the on\|line problem, some further information about the tasks is available, which allows the improvement of the performance of the best possible algorithms. Problems of this class are called semi on\|line ones. The authors studied two semi on\|line multiprocessor scheduling problems, in which, the total processing time of all tasks is known in advance, or all processing times lie in a given interval. They proposed approximation algorithms for minimizing the makespan and analyzed their performance guarantee. The algorithms improve the known results for 3 or more processor cases in the literature.

文摘We report the magnetoresistance(MR), de Haas-van Alphen(dHvA) effect and Hall effect measurements on a single crystal of TiSi, which is predicted to be a nodal line semimetal. With application of a magnetic field, a metal-to-insulator-like transition in ρ(T) and a nonsaturating MR are observed at low temperatures. The dHvA oscillations reveal a small Fermi-surface pocket with a nontrivial Berry phase. The analysis of the nonlinear Hall resistivity shows that TiSi is a multiband system with low carrier densities and high mobilities. All these results unambiguously prove the existence of Dirac fermions in TiSi.

文摘Topological semimetals are a new type of matter with one-dimensional Fermi lines or zero-dimensional Weyl or Dirac points in momentum space. Here using first-principles calculations, we find that the non-centrosymmetric PbTaS2 is a topological nodal line semimetal. In the absence of spin-orbit coupling (SOC), one band inversion happens around a high symmetrical H point, which leads to forming a nodal line. The nodal line is robust and protected against gap opening by mirror reflection symmetry even with the inclusion of strong SOC. In addition, it also hosts exotic drumhead surface states either inside or outside the projected nodal ring depending on surface termination. The robust bulk nodal lines and drumhead-like surface states with SOC in PbTaS2 make it a potential candidate material for exploring the freakish properties of the topological nodal line fermions in condensed matter systems.

文摘Liquid crystalline polymer-polyamide 66 (LCP/PA66) blends were compounded by using a Brabender mixing followed by compression moulding. The LCP employed was a semi-flexible liquid crystalline copolyesteramide based on 30% (molar fraction ) of p-amino benzoic acid (ABA ) and 70% (molar fraction) of poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET). The LCP/PA66 blends were investigated in terms of the thermal and dynamic mechanical properties. It was found that PA66 and LCP components of the blends are miscible in the molten state, but are partially miscible in the solid state. The inclusion of the semi-flexible LCP into PA66 retards the crystallization rate of PA66. Furthermore, the melting temperature and the degree of crystallinity of PA66 are reduced considerably due to the LCP addition.

文摘The critical speed and unbalance response of a small vehicle gasoline turbocharger in semi-floating bearing are analyzed.The dynamical characters of semi-floating bush bearing used in small vehicle gasoline turbocharger were summarized by comparing the structure and shaft rigid mode of semi-floating bush bearings with those of floating bush bearings.The rotor model was built.The first,second and third mode of critical speeds of rotor system were computed,and the changes in the compressor or turbine bushing bearing clearances were analyzed.Compared with the experiment data,the accuracy and the rationality of computation model were verified.The unbalance response and time transient rotor response were also computed.

文摘This paper numerically demonstrates synchronization and bidirectional communication without delay line by using two semiconductor lasers with strong mutual injection in a face-to-face configuration. These results show that both of the two lasers' outputs synchronize with their input chaotic carriers. In addition, simulations demonstrate that this kind of synchronization can be used to realize bidirectional communications without delay line. Further studies indicate that within a small deviation in message amplitudes of two sides (±6%), the message can be extracted with signal-noise-ratio more than 10 dB; and the signal-noise-ratio is extremely sensitive to the message rates mismatch of two sides, which may be used as a key of bidirectional communication.
文摘AbstractBoth theoretical and experimental investigations are performed for a scheme for“ flutter taming”- semi-active control of structural nonlinear flutter. For atwo-dimensional nonlinear flutter system, a digital simulation method is used to verify theprinciple of semi-active flutter control and to study the response characteristics of theclosed loop flutter system. Simulation results show that by adjusting automatically thenonlinear stiffness parameter of the flutter system, the amphtude of the flutter responsecan be suppressed. In accordance with the theoretical analysis, a wind tunnel test model forsemi-active flutter control is designed. A micromotor-slide block system serves as theparameter control executive element with the monitoring of respf,are signal and the con-trolling of micromotor performed by a microcomputer. Wind tunnel tests confirm that thenonlinear flutter can be controlled effectively by this technique.
文摘A new transient analysis method for the transmission line circuits is presented in this paper. Based on the semidiscretization of the telegraph equations, a discretized time domain companion models for the transmission lines which can be conveniently implemented in a general circuit simulator such as SPICE is derived. The computation required for the model is linear with time, equivalent to the recursive convolution-based method. The formulations for both single and coupled lossy transmission lines are given. Numerical experiments are carried out to demonstrate the validity of the method.

文摘In this study,we established a new cell line(Cynoglossus semilaevis kidney cells,CSK)from kidney of the half-smooth tongue sole(Cynoglossus semilaevis).The cells were subcultured over 1000 days and passaged for more than 100 times.Additionally,CSK cells were optimally maintained in Dulbecco's modified Eagle medium nutrient mixture F-12 supplemented with HEPES,antibiotics,fetal bovine serum,2-mercaptoethanol,and basic fibroblast growth factor.The optimum growth temperature for CSK cells was 25℃,and the cells showed a fibroblast-like phenotype.Chromosome analysis revealed that CSK cells had a normal diploid karyotype with 2 n=42.CSK cells were susceptible to Grouper nervous necrosis virus(NNV),and cytopathic ef fects were observed at 3–5 days postinfection.The NNV sensitivity of CSK cells was related to the high abundance of virions in the cytoplasm,as observed by electron microscopy.Additionally,CSK cells could be successfully transfected with a green fluorescent protein reporter plasmid,and fluorescent signals were easily observed.Finally,immunocytochemistry analysis showed that CSK cells were supporting cells.Overall,we established this new cell line,which may have potential applications in the identification of viral pathogens af fecting the half-smooth tongue sole.
文摘In the present paper, to build model of two-line queuing system with losses GI/G/2/0, the approach introduced by V.S. Korolyuk and A.F. Turbin, is used. It is based on application of the theory of semi-Markov processes with arbitrary phase space of states. This approach allows us to omit some restrictions. The stationary characteristics of the system have been defined, assuming that the incoming flow of requests and their service times have distributions of general form. The particular cases of the system were considered. The used approach can be useful for modeling systems of various purposes.

文摘We study the Kondo screening of a spin-1/2 magnetic impurity in the hybrid nodal line semimetals(NLSMs) and the type-Ⅱ NLSMs by using the variational method. We mainly study the binding energy and the spin–spin correlation between magnetic impurity and conduction electrons. We find that in both the hybrid and type-Ⅱ cases, the density of states(DOS) is always finite, so the impurity and the conduction electrons always form bound states, and the bound state is more easily formed when the DOS is large. Meanwhile, due to the unique dispersion relation and the spin–orbit couplings in the NLSMs, the spatial spin–spin correlation components show very interesting features. Most saliently, various components of the spatial spin–spin correlation function decay with 1/r^(2) in the hybrid NLSMs, while they follow 1/r^(3) decay in the type-Ⅱ NLSMs. This property is mainly caused by the special band structures in the NLSMs, and it can work as a fingerprint to distinguish the two types of NLSMs.

文摘Mechanically lined pipe(MLP)is often used for offshore oil and gas transport because of its low cost and corrosion resistance.During installation and operation,the pipe may undergo severe bending deformation,which causes the liner to separate from the outer pipe and buckles,affecting the stability of the whole line.In this paper,the buckling response of MLP subjected to bending is investigated to clarify its bending characteristics by employing both experiments,numerical simulation,as theoretical methods.Two types of MLPs were manufactured with GB 45 carbon steel(SLP)and Al 6061(ALP)used as the outer pipe material,respectively.The hydraulic expansion and bending experiments of small-scale MLPs are conducted.In addition to the ovalized shape of the cross-section for the SLP specimens,the copper liner was found to wrinkle on the compressive side.In contrast,the liner of ALP remains intact without developing any wrinkling and collapse mode.In addition,a dedicated numerical framework and theoretical models were also established.It was found both the manufacturing and bending responses of the MLP can be well reproduced,and the predicted maximum moment and critical curvatures are in good agreement with the experimental results.
