It was found that the test values of 7 kinds of cancers with PHA or LCA were significantly higher than that of the normal (P<0.01); the values of 4 kinds of non-malignant diseases with PHA were not higher (P>0.05); the values of the postoperative cancer with PHA were obviously lower than that of the preoperative (P<0.05). The results showed that the serum glycoconjugates which can bind to PHA seemed related to the cancerous existence in human bodies. The significance of the findings was discussed.展开更多

SCL and CZR were significantly higher in patients before treatment (mean value 22.97 μmol/L, 1.55, respectively) and in those who did not reach complete remission (mean 21.21 μmol/L, 1.36) as compared with the patients in complete remission (mean 16.36 μmol/L, 1.06) or normal controls (mean 15.67 μmol/L, 0.98). The mean value of SCL and CZR of patients in complete remission did not differ significantly from those of normal controls. Patients in stages HI and IV had higher SCL and CZR (mean 25.15 μmol/L, 1.79) than those in stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ (mean 19.30 μmol/L, 1.16). No significant difference in SZL was observed between the patient groups and normal controls. Thus, SCL and CZR may be used as prognostic indicators for monitoring disease activity and response to therapy in malignant lymphoma.展开更多

The Raman spectroscopy measurements are performed on two groups of blood serum samples,which are from 28 echinococcosis patients and 38 healthy persons,respectively. The normalized Raman reflection spectra show that the reflectivity of the echinococcosis blood serum is higher than that of the normal human blood serum in the wavelength ranges of 101—175 nm and 1 801—2 701 nm. Then the principal component analysis(PCA) and back propagation neural network(BPNN) model are used to obtain the diagnosis results. The diagnosis rates for healthy persons and echinococcosis persons are 93.333 3% and 90.909 1%,respectively,so the average final diagnosis rate is 92.121 2%. The results demonstrate that the Raman spectroscopy analysis of blood serum combined with PCA-BPNN has considerable potential for the non-invasive and rapid detection of echinococcosis.展开更多
In this study, the serum levels of the pregnancy zone protein (PZP) were determined by PZP-single radial immunodiffusion in 708 cases of normal pregnancy, 207 with abormal pregnancy and 188 with gynecological tumors. ...In this study, the serum levels of the pregnancy zone protein (PZP) were determined by PZP-single radial immunodiffusion in 708 cases of normal pregnancy, 207 with abormal pregnancy and 188 with gynecological tumors. The results indicated that serum PZP levels in the normal pregnancy was detectable 5 weeks after gestation. It increased with the advance of gestational weeks, and reached a peak level in week 40. The serum PZP levels in 81.7% of patients with threatened abortion but not aborted were within the normal range, and also mostly in those with pregnancy-nduced hypertension, intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR), anencepbalus and ectopic pregnancy; the serum PZP levels in 51.6% of patients with invasive moles and 80.0% with choriocarcinoma, respectively, were lower than in normal controls. In gynaecological tumors, the serum PZP levels were significantly higher in patients with ovarian carcinomas than in those with other ovarian tumors (P<0.01), and in those with endometrial or cervical carcinoma than in those with uterine myomas (P<0.01). These results suggest that measuring the serum PZP levels may be used as an important reference index to observe threatened abortion and to identify trophoblastic diseases and gynecological tumors.展开更多

The Raman spectroscopy measurements are performed on two groups of blood serum samples,which are from 28 echinococcosis patients and 38 healthy persons,respectively.
