Euler’s First-Order Explicit Method–Peridynamic Differential Operator for Solving Population Balance Equations of the Crystallization Process

Using Euler’s first-order explicit(EE)method and the peridynamic differential operator(PDDO)to discretize the time and internal crystal-size derivatives,respectively,the Euler’s first-order explicit method–peridynamic differential operator(EE–PDDO)was obtained for solving the one-dimensional population balance equation in crystallization.Four different conditions during crystallization were studied:size-independent growth,sizedependent growth in a batch process,nucleation and size-independent growth,and nucleation and size-dependent growth in a continuous process.The high accuracy of the EE–PDDO method was confirmed by comparing it with the numerical results obtained using the second-order upwind and HR-van methods.The method is characterized by non-oscillation and high accuracy,especially in the discontinuous and sharp crystal size distribution.The stability of the EE–PDDO method,choice of weight function in the PDDO method,and optimal time step are also discussed.

Semigroup of Weakly Continuous Operators Associated to a Generalized Schrödinger Equation

In this work, we prove the existence and uniqueness of the solution of the generalized Schrödinger equation in the periodic distributional space P’. Furthermore, we prove that the solution depends continuously respect to the initial data in P’. Introducing a family of weakly continuous operators, we prove that this family is a semigroup of operators in P’. Then, with this family of operators, we get a fine version of the existence and dependency continuous theorem obtained. Finally, we provide some consequences of this study.

Propagation and Pinning of Travelling Wave for Nagumo Type Equation

In this paper, we study the propagation and its failure to propagate (pinning) of a travelling wave in a Nagumo type equation, an equation that describes impulse propagation in nerve axons that also models population growth with Allee effect. An analytical solution is derived for the traveling wave and the work is extended to a discrete formulation with a piecewise linear reaction function. We propose an operator splitting numerical scheme to solve the equation and demonstrate that the wave either propagates or gets pinned based on how the spatial mesh is chosen.

INTERIOR ESTIMATES IN MORREY SPACES FOR SOLUTIONS OF ELLIPTIC EQUATIONS AND WEIGHTED BOUNDEDNESS FOR COMMUTATORS OF SINGULAR INTEGRAL OPERATORS

It is proved that, for the nondivergence elliptic equations Σi,jn=1aijuxixj=f, if f belongs to the generalized Morrey spaces Lp, (w), then uxixj ∈ Lp, (w), where u is the W2,p-solution of the equations. In order to obtain this, the author first establish the weighted boundedness for the commutators of some singular integral operators on Lp, (w).

ON THE EXISTENCE AND UNIQUENESS THEOREMS OF SOLUTIONS FOR THE SYSTEMS OF MIXED MONOTONE OPERATOR EQUATIONS WITH APPLICATIONS

The existence, uniqueness and non-symmetric iterative approximation of solutions for a class of systems of mixed monotone operator equations are discussed. As an application, we utilize, the results presented in this paper to study the existence and uniqueness problems of common solutions for a class of systems of functional equations arising in dynamic programming of multistage decision processes and a class of systems of nonlinear integral equation. The results obtained in this paper not only answer an open question suggested in [3] but also generalize the corresponding results of [1],[2].

ITERATIVE REGULARIZATION METHODS FOR NONLINEAR ILL-POSED OPERATOR EQUATIONS WITH M-ACCRETIVE MAPPINGS IN BANACH SPACES

In this paper, a modified Newton type iterative method is considered for ap- proximately solving ill-posed nonlinear operator equations involving m-accretive mappings in Banach space. Convergence rate of the method is obtained based on an a priori choice of the regularization parameter. Our analysis is not based on the sequential continuity of the normalized duality mapping.

ITERATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR SYSTEMS OF NONLINEAR OPERATOR EQUATIONS IN BANACH SPACE

By using partial order method, the existence, uniqueness and iterative approximation of solutions for a class of systems of nonlinear operator equations in Banach space are discussed. The results obtained in this paper extend and improve recent results.

ON SOME BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS FOR NONHOMOGENOUS POLYHARMONIC EQUATION WITH BOUNDARY OPERATORS OF FRACTIONAL ORDER

In the paper we study questions about solvability of some boundary value prob- lems for a non-homogenous poly-harmonic equation. As a boundary operator we consider differentiation operator of fractional order in Miller-Ross sense. The considered problem is a generalization of well-known Dirichlet and Neumann problems.

Rota-Baxter Operators on 3-dimensional Lie Algebras and Solutions of the Classical Yang-Baxter Equation

In this paper,we compute Rota-Baxter operators on the 3-dimensional Lie algebra g whose derived algebra’s dimension is 2.Furthermore,we give the corresponding solutions of the classical Yang-Baxter equation in the 6-dimensional Lie algebras g ■ _(ad~*) g~* and some new structures of left-symmetric algebra induced from g and its Rota-Baxter operators.

The Solution of Binary Nonlinear Operator Equations with Applications

In this paper, the existence and uniqueness of solution systems for some binary nonlinear operator equations are discussed by using cone and partially order theory and monotone iteration theory, and the iterative sequences which converge to solution of operator equations and error estimates for iterative sequences are also given. Some corresponding results are improved and generalized. Finally, the applications of our results are given.

Exact Inverse Operator on Field Equations

Differential equations of electromagnetic and similar physical fields are generally solved via antiderivative Green’s functions involving integration over a region and its boundary. Research on the Kasner metric reveals a variable boundary deemed inappropriate for standard anti-derivatives, suggesting the need for an alternative solution technique. In this work I derive such a solution and prove its existence, based on circulation equations in which the curl of the field is induced by source current density and possibly changes in associated fields. We present an anti-curl operator that is believed novel and we prove that it solves for the field without integration required.

Multilevel Iteration Methods for Solving Linear Operator Equations of the First Kind

In this paper we develop two multilevel iteration methods for solving linear systems resulting from the Galerkin method and Tikhonov regularization for linear ill-posed problems. The two algorithms and their convergence analyses are presented in an abstract framework.

ON SOLVABILITY OF A BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM FOR A NONHOMOGENEOUS BIHARMONIC EQUATION WITH A BOUNDARY OPERATOR OF A FRACTIONAL ORDER

This paper is concerned with the solvability of a boundary value problem for a nonhomogeneous biharmonic equation. The boundary data is determined by a differential operator of fractional order in the Riemann-Liouville sense. The considered problem is a generalization of the known Dirichlet and Neumann problems.

Dark Sharma-Tasso-Olver Equations and Their Recursion Operators

A complete scalar classification for dark Sharma-Tasso-Olver＇s（STO＇s） equations is derived by requiring the existence of higher order differential polynomial symmetries. There are some free parameters for every class of dark STO systems, thus some special equations including symmetry equation and dual symmetry equation are obtained by selecting a free parameter. Furthermore, the recursion operators of STO equation and dark STO systems are constructed by a direct assumption method.

MULTILEVEL AUGMENTATION METHODS FOR SOLVING OPERATOR EQUATIONS

We introduce multilevel augmentation methods for solving operator equations based on direct sum decompositions of the range space of the operator and the solution space of the operator equation and a matrix splitting scheme. We establish a general setting for the analysis of these methods, showing that the methods yield approximate solutions of the same convergence order as the best approximation from the subspace. These augmentation methods allow us to develop fast, accurate and stable nonconventional numerical algorithms for solving operator equations. In particular, for second kind equations, special splitting techniques are proposed to develop such algorithms. These algorithms are then applied to solve the linear systems resulting from matrix compression schemes using wavelet-like functions for solving Fredholm integral equations of the second kind. For this special case, a complete analysis for computational complexity and convergence order is presented. Numerical examples are included to demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of the methods. In these examples we use the proposed augmentation method to solve large scale linear systems resulting from the recently developed wavelet Galerkin methods and fast collocation methods applied to integral equations of the secondkind. Our numerical results confirm that this augmentation method is particularly efficient for solving large scale linear systems induced from wavelet compression schemes.

Iterative Solutions for a Non-monotone BinaryOperator Equations and Operator System of Equations

By using the theory of the cone and partial ordering. It is studied that theexistence and uniqueness of solutions for a non-monotone binary operator equation A(x, x) =x and operator system of equations A(x, x) = x, B(x, x) = x in Banach spaces. Where Aand B can be decomposed A = A1+A2,B = B1+B2, A1 and B1 are mixed monotone, A2and B2 are anti-mixed monotone. The results preeented here improve and generalize somecorresponding results of mixed monotone operator equations.

EXISTENCE AND NONEXISTENCE FOR THE INITIAL BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM OF ONE CLASS OF SYSTEM OF MULTIDIMENSIONAL NONLINEAR SCHRDINGER EQUATIONS WITH OPERATOR AND THEIR SOLITON SOLUTIONS

The nonlinear interactions between the monochromatic wave have been considered by K. Matsunchi, who also proposed one class of the nonlinear Schrdinger equation system with wave operator. We also obtain the same type of equations, which are satisfied by transverse velocity of higher frequency electron, as we study soliton in plasma physics. In this paper, under some condition we study the existence and nonexistence for this equations in the cases possessing different signs in nonlinear term.

Invertibility of Infinite-Dimensional Hamiltonian Operators and Its Application to Plate Bending Equation

<Abstract>The results of invertibility and spectrum for some different classes of infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian operators,after a brief classification by domains,are given.By the above results,the associated infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian operator with simple supported rectangular plate is proved to be invertible.Furthermore,by a certain compactness,we find that the spectrum of this operator consists only of isolated eigenvalues with finite geometric multiplicity,which will play a significant role in finding the analytical and numerical solution based on Hamiltonian system for a class of plate bending equations.

Iterative Solution for Systems of Nonlinear Two Binary Operator Equations

Using the cone and partial ordering theory and mixed monotone operator theory, the existence and uniqueness of solutions for some classes of systems of nonlinear two binary operator equations in a Banach space with a partial ordering are discussed. And the error estimates that the iterative sequences converge to solutions are also given. Some relevant results of solvability of two binary operator equations and systems of operator equations are imnroved and generalized.
