We investigate thoroughly such cascaded regression ba...Cascaded regression has been recently applied to reconstruct 3D faces from single 2D images directly in shape space, and has achieved state-of-the-art performance. We investigate thoroughly such cascaded regression based 3D face reconstruction approaches from four perspectives that are not well been studied: (1) the impact of the number of 2D landmarks; (2) the impact of the number of 3D vertices; (3) the way of using standalone automated landmark detection methods; (4) the convergence property. To answer these questions, a simplified cascaded regression based 3D face reconstruction method is devised. This can be integrated with standalone automated landmark detection methods and reconstruct 3D face shapes that have the same pose and expression as the input face images, rather than normalized pose and expression. An effective training method is also proposed by disturbing the automatically detected landmarks. Comprehensive evaluation experiments have been carried out to compare to other 3D face reconstruction methods. The results not only deepen the understanding of cascaded regression based 3D face reconstruction approaches, but also prove the effectiveness of the proposed method.展开更多
The wave propagation behavior in an elastic wedge-shaped medium with an arbitrary shaped cylindrical canyon at its vertex has been studied.Numerical computation of the wave displacement field is carried out on and nea...The wave propagation behavior in an elastic wedge-shaped medium with an arbitrary shaped cylindrical canyon at its vertex has been studied.Numerical computation of the wave displacement field is carried out on and near the canyon surfaces using weighted-residuals(moment method).The wave displacement fields are computed by the residual method for the cases of elliptic,circular,rounded-rectangular and flat-elliptic canyons,The analysis demonstrates that the resulting surface displacement depends,as in similar previous analyses,on several factors including,but not limited,to the angle of the wedge,the geometry of the vertex,the frequencies of the incident waves,the angles of incidence,and the material properties of the media.The analysis provides intriguing results that help to explain geophysical observations regarding the amplification of seismic energy as a function of site conditions.展开更多

In this paper, a...The key points to consider in determining the effectiveness of using structural isolation with shape memory alloys (SMA) are the constitutive model, the SMA isolation device and the analysis method. In this paper, a simplified constitutive model based on the classic theory of plasticity is proposed to simulate the behavior of the superelasticity of the SMA, in which the martensite volume fraction is considered as one of the state variables. Comparisons between simulation results and experimental results are made and indicate that the proposed constitutive model yields stress-strain curves that are in good agreement with the experimental ones. Thus, the proposed model can correctly simulate the yield mechanism and energy dissipation capacity of the SMA. Next, in order to make full use of the superelasticity of SMA, a new SMA isolator composed of pre-tensioned SMA bars is presented. Then, a finite element analytical model is established to simulate the behavior of the SMA isolator according to its configuration and simplified constitutive model. Finally, a simplified design method for long-span structures installed with SMA isolators is proposed, which is further used to investigate the isolation effects of a space grid structure. Results show that the SMA isolator can reduce the seismic responses of the structure effectively, which indicates the effectiveness of the proposed SMA isolation method.展开更多

路面病害自动化检测是实现道路智慧化管养的关键技术之一,针对路面病害图像中病害目标占比小、不同类型病害尺度差异大、背景环境复杂等特性,基于YOLOv8架构,提出聚焦形状特征的路面病害检测算法FSF-YOLO(focusing on shape features YO...路面病害自动化检测是实现道路智慧化管养的关键技术之一,针对路面病害图像中病害目标占比小、不同类型病害尺度差异大、背景环境复杂等特性,基于YOLOv8架构,提出聚焦形状特征的路面病害检测算法FSF-YOLO(focusing on shape features YOLO)。构建一种无信息丢失的加强特征提取模块,通过保留多维度空间特征信息,增强骨干网络对低分辨率图像和细小病害目标的特征提取能力;引入可形变注意力特征融合模块,利用病害细长形状特征拓展目标识别区域,提高模型对于长距离病害目标的特征表达能力;运用分组卷积空间金字塔池化模块,强化不同尺寸病害目标特征识别;采用轻量级共享卷积检测头,减少网络参数量和计算量。实验结果表明,提出的方法对不同类别的路面病害目标均获得了较好的效果,在RDD2022数据集上的平均精度达到67.3%,与原算法相比提升了5.3个百分点,整体性能优于其他路面病害检测算法。展开更多

The structure of shape gradient of the cost functional is derived by applying the differentiability of a minimax formulation involving a Lagrange functional with a space parametrization technique. A gradient type algorithm is employed to the shape optimization problem. Numerical examples indicate that our theory is useful for practical purpose and the proposed algorithm is feasible.展开更多
