Preparation for the competition required architectural design guidelines, which were an important part of the terms of reference for the project. This paper aims to provide an overview of the issues surrounding the work involved in the collaboration work between the Indonesian government and multi-disciplinary participants to establish museum design guidelines for this competition. By articulating and elaborating the characteristics of several famous museums design in the world, by defining relevant architectural theories, and by exploring an in-depth analysis of "batik", which UNESCO designated as Intangible Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO in 2009, the architectural design guidelines were developed based onfindings revealedby inserting "batik" itself as the museum storyline into contemporary architecture. By referring to trans-disciplinary methods and concepts, then the process of batik making is potentially a kind of architectural "showing off' to expose the uniqueness of Indonesian batik as well as the Architecture-Event theory promoted by French philosopher Jacques Derrida.展开更多

We are reported the case of a 26-year-old man with CASTLE, with cervical subcutaneous nodules relapse, who showed a good response to treatment with surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The problematic aspect of this case was the diagnosis; only on review were we able to make a final diagnosis. CASTLE is a very rare neoplasm. It is important to differentiate this cancer from others tumors such as primary or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck or squamous cell thyroid carcinoma, because the therapy and prognosis are different.Diagnosis is complicated and requires careful histological analysis(CD5- and P63-positive with presence of Hassall's corpuscles); unfortunately there is no gold standard treatment so, in this case, we administered a sandwich of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.展开更多

Over the course of the past 70 years, the objectives of CA (cellular automata) research shifted from speculative and illustrative purposes without immediate goals outside of given implementations to the more utilita...Over the course of the past 70 years, the objectives of CA (cellular automata) research shifted from speculative and illustrative purposes without immediate goals outside of given implementations to the more utilitarian scientific and engineering objectives of simulating, controlling and predicting other phenomena. Looking back at our own 10-year history of CA related work, however, we recognize a generally inverse tendency from utilitarian objectives to finding more illustrative and speculative value. In this paper, we present a reflection on our own body of CA work, and we discuss the qualities of the various outcomes and insights we gained from a second-order cybernetic perspective. We argue that much of our own CA work may best be understood as creating machines for showing and for repurposing that allow their observers to gain new (second-order cybernetic) ways of seeing from interacting with them.展开更多

The present study aimed to assess the molecular profiles of subepithelial connective tissue grafts(CTGs)obtained at different locations and depths in the human palate.Sixty-four CTGs belonging to anterior deep(AD),ant...The present study aimed to assess the molecular profiles of subepithelial connective tissue grafts(CTGs)obtained at different locations and depths in the human palate.Sixty-four CTGs belonging to anterior deep(AD),anterior superficial(AS),posterior deep(PD),and posterior superficial(PS)groups were subjected to RNA-Sequencing and their transcriptomes were analyzed computationally.Functional correlations characterizing the CTG groups were validated by cell biological experiments using primary human palatal fibroblasts(HPFs)extracted from the CTGs.A clearly more pronounced location-dependent than depth-dependent difference between the grafts,with a minimal number of genes(4)showing no dependence on the location,was revealed.Epithelial,endothelial,and monocytic cell migration was strongly(P<0.001)potentiated by AD-and PS-HPFs.Moreover,significantly increased expression of genes encoding C-C and C-X-C motif chemokine ligands as well as significantly(P<0.01)activated p38 signaling suggested immunomodulatory phenotype for AD-and PS-HPFs.Increased growth factor gene expression and significantly activated(P<0.001)Erk and Akt signaling in HPFs originating from A-CTGs implied their involvement in cell survival,proliferation,and motility.Prominent collagen-rich expression profile contributing to high mechanical stability,increased osteogenesis-related gene expression,and strongly activated(P<0.001)Smad1/5/8 signaling characterized HPFs originating from P-CTGs.The present data indicate that in humans,differences between palatal CTGs harvested from different locations and depths appear to be location-rather than depth-dependent.Our findings provide the basis for future personalization of the therapeutic strategy by selecting an optimal graft type depending on the clinical indications.展开更多

Objective:In this research,we tried to explore how short-term mindfulness(STM)intervention affects adoles-cents’anxiety,depression,and negative and positive emotion during the COVID-19 pandemic.Design:10 classes were...Objective:In this research,we tried to explore how short-term mindfulness(STM)intervention affects adoles-cents’anxiety,depression,and negative and positive emotion during the COVID-19 pandemic.Design:10 classes were divided into experiment groups(5 classes;n=238)and control(5 classes;n=244)randomly.Hospital Anxi-ety and Depression Scale(HADS)and Positive and Negative Affect Schedule(PANAS)were used to measure par-ticipants’dependent variables.In the experiment group,we conducted STM practice interventions every morning in theirfirst class from March to November 2020.No interventions were conducted in the control group.Methods:Paired-sample t-tests were used to identify if a significant difference exists between every time point of the experimental and control groups.Repeated ANOVA and Growth Mixture Model(GMM)were used to analyze the tendency of positive and negative emotions,anxiety,and depression in the experimental group.Results and Conclusions:(1)With the intervention of STM,there was a significant decrease in negative emotions and an increase in positive emotions in the experimental group,whereas there were non-significant differences in the control group.(2)To explore the heterogeneity trajectories of dependent variables,we built a GMM and found there were two latent growth classes in the trajectories.(3)The results of the models showed their trajec-tories were downward,which meant that the levels of anxiety,depression,and negative emotions of participants decreased during the STM training period.Nonetheless,the score of positive affect showed upward in three loops of intervention,which indicated that the level of the participants’positive affect increased through the STM inter-vention.(4)This research indicated that STM should be given increasing consideration to enhance mental health during the worldwide outbreak of COVID-19.展开更多

A colchicine-induced autotetraploid grapevine exhibiting potentially valuable agronomic traits for grape production and breeding,including self-pruning,was identified.This study investigated DNA methylation variation ...A colchicine-induced autotetraploid grapevine exhibiting potentially valuable agronomic traits for grape production and breeding,including self-pruning,was identified.This study investigated DNA methylation variation and its role in gene expression during self-pruning in the autotetraploid grapevine.We used RNA-Seq to estimate differentially expressed genes between diploid and autotetraploid grapevine shoot tips.The genes showing increases in the autotetraploid were mainly related to stress response pathways,whereas those showing decreases in the autotetraploid were related to biological metabolism and biosynthesis.Whole-genome bisulfite sequencing was performed to produce single-base methylomes for the diploid and autotetraploid grapevines.Comparison between the methylomes revealed that they were conserved in CG and CHG contexts.In the autotetraploid grapevine,hypodifferentially methylated regions(DMRs)and hyper-DMRs in the gene body increased or decreased gene expression,respectively.Our results indicated that a hypo-DMR in the ACO1 gene body increased its expression and might promote self-pruning.This study reports that hypo-DMRs in the gene body increase gene expression in plants and reveals the mechanism underlying the changes in the modifications affecting gene expression during genome duplication.Overall,our results provide valuable information for understanding the relationships between DNA methylation,gene expression,and autotetraploid breeding in grape.展开更多

文摘Based on Marcuse’s thought of“one-dimensional person”,this paper discusses the influence of TV talent show on teenagers’socialization.By analyzing the characteristics of TV talent shows that emphasize individual competition and success,appearance and image,and instant satisfaction,it is pointed out that these characteristics are easy for teenagers to produce the mentality of pursuing fame and fortune,appearance,and instant satisfaction,ignoring the development of other important values and qualities.Therefore,we need to guide teenagers to maintain a critical attitude toward TV talent shows,and pay attention to cultivating their independent thinking and all-round development.
文摘Recently,American talent shows with its unique glamour and huge profit have attracted many Chinese TV stations to imitate.The process of imitation is essentially a collision of American and Chinese cultures.This study focuses on American Idol and Super Girls,discusses their different manifestations of individualism and analyzes the reasons behind it.The analysis shows that the differences of the two countries'cultural background contribute to the different manifestations of individualism.In a word,during the process of imitating American talent shows,the problems of Chinese talent shows indicate that American individualism has its positive as well as negative effects.Consequently,Chinese people should hold a critical attitude toward American individualism.

文摘A colchicine-induced autotetraploid grapevine exhibiting potentially valuable agronomic traits for grape production and breeding,including self-pruning,was identified.This study investigated DNA methylation variation and its role in gene expression during self-pruning in the autotetraploid grapevine.We used RNA-Seq to estimate differentially expressed genes between diploid and autotetraploid grapevine shoot tips.The genes showing increases in the autotetraploid were mainly related to stress response pathways,whereas those showing decreases in the autotetraploid were related to biological metabolism and biosynthesis.Whole-genome bisulfite sequencing was performed to produce single-base methylomes for the diploid and autotetraploid grapevines.Comparison between the methylomes revealed that they were conserved in CG and CHG contexts.In the autotetraploid grapevine,hypodifferentially methylated regions(DMRs)and hyper-DMRs in the gene body increased or decreased gene expression,respectively.Our results indicated that a hypo-DMR in the ACO1 gene body increased its expression and might promote self-pruning.This study reports that hypo-DMRs in the gene body increase gene expression in plants and reveals the mechanism underlying the changes in the modifications affecting gene expression during genome duplication.Overall,our results provide valuable information for understanding the relationships between DNA methylation,gene expression,and autotetraploid breeding in grape.
