In this paper, we theoretically propose and experimentally demonstrate the manipulation of a novel degree of freedom in ring resonators, which is the coupling from the clockwise input to the counterclockwise propagati...In this paper, we theoretically propose and experimentally demonstrate the manipulation of a novel degree of freedom in ring resonators, which is the coupling from the clockwise input to the counterclockwise propagating mode (and vice versa). We name this mechanism backcoupling, in contrast with the normal forward-coupling of a directional coupler. It is well known that internal reflections will cause previous research demonstrated that the peak asymmetry will be strongly influenced by the backcoupling. Thus, it is worth manipulating the backcoupling in order to gain full control of a split resonance for the benefit of various resonance-splitting-based applications. While it is difficult to directly manipulate the backcoupling of a conventional directional coupler, here we design a circuit explicidy for manipulating the backcoupling. It can be potentially developed for applications such as single sideband filter, resonance splitting elimination, Fano resonance, and ultrahigh-Q and finesse.展开更多
Silicones can be cross-linked to materials with a wide variety of properties.In this work,the ringed oligomers of [SiO(OH)_2]nas well as the stacked structures of trimer and the linear strands of the dimer and trimer ...Silicones can be cross-linked to materials with a wide variety of properties.In this work,the ringed oligomers of [SiO(OH)_2]nas well as the stacked structures of trimer and the linear strands of the dimer and trimer were investigated systematically at B3 LYP/6-311 + + G(d,p) level combined with the conductor-like screening model(CPCM).This theoretical model reveals that,(1) SiO(OH)_2 will condense to stable ringed structures with SiO tetrahedrons;(2) in the ringed octamer [SiO(OH)_2]8,the macrocycle begins to pucker drastically;(3) from the linear strands of SiO rings it can be seen that the longer the chain is,the greater the energies decrease;(4) in [SiO(OH)_2]n(n ≥5) and in the strands of ringed oligomers,the highest occupied molecular orbitals(HOMOs) are primarily the n orbitals of the lone-pair electrons of oxygen atoms,so there are no delocalized π bonds.展开更多
Mode matching is the key to improve the performance of micro-machined vibrating ring gyroscopes.Mass and stiffness asymmetries can lend to normal modes badly mismatch for gyroscopes fabricated by single-crystal silico...Mode matching is the key to improve the performance of micro-machined vibrating ring gyroscopes.Mass and stiffness asymmetries can lend to normal modes badly mismatch for gyroscopes fabricated by single-crystal silicon.The mismatch of the normal nodes results in large normal mode frequency split and degraded sensitivity.To address this issue,a Silicon-On-Insulator(SOI) wafer is used to fabricate the sensor chips.Meanwhile,a compensate disk and the backside coated negative photo resist(AZ303) is employed to weaken the Lag and Footing effect during the Deep Reactive Ion Etching(DRIE) process.Test results reveal that frequency split between the normal modes is of less than 10 Hz before the following electronic tuning.Thus,the mode matching of the electromagnetic vibrating ring gyroscope is probable to be realized.展开更多

The results show that the characteristic of load decay isrelative to the material and temperature of O-rings; the rate of load decay increases with the riseof temperature; the effects of load decay on leak rate of O-rings are negligible at roomtemperature, but they are notable at high temperature, and they are related to the material ofO-rings. On the basis of study on the theory of load decay and analysis to the results ofexperiments, a theoretical model is developed to describe the load decay characteristic of O-rings,and it matches the experimental data very well. By the study of time-temperature equivalence of loaddecay, the interconvertting equation of test data of load decay at different temperatures isobtained.展开更多
针对窄频差硅基环形波动陀螺动态性能差的问题,提出了一种基于比例积分微分-惯性环节(proportion integral differential-inertial element,PID-IE)的串联式相位校正检测闭环系统控制器。以硅微机械陀螺仪结构运动方程为基础建立了理想...针对窄频差硅基环形波动陀螺动态性能差的问题,提出了一种基于比例积分微分-惯性环节(proportion integral differential-inertial element,PID-IE)的串联式相位校正检测闭环系统控制器。以硅微机械陀螺仪结构运动方程为基础建立了理想的窄频差U形弹性梁硅基环形波动陀螺仪的系统模型。通过对环形陀螺开环工作状态下的系统模型及其外围电路的传递函数和波特图分析,设计了一种基于PID-IE的检测闭环系统控制器。通过对其系统模型及外围电路时域仿真,验证了该检测闭环控制系统的可行性,通过仿真发现,加入该控制器后的陀螺输出稳定时间减少了50%,陀螺检测位移输出减小了2个数量级,基本实现了该陀螺的检测位移抑制。在模拟电路中实现了该检测闭环控制系统后,通过实验测试了陀螺检测闭环控制前后的各项性能指标。通过实验测试发现,实现闭环控制后,陀螺输出稳定时间约为0.15 s,陀螺检测位移在闭环工作状态下比开环工作状态减小了97%,陀螺的标度因数比检测开环提高了10倍,零偏及零偏不稳定性与检测开环相比分别提升了3倍和8倍,且闭环控制系统的工作带宽比开环工作带宽提高了30倍。展开更多
