Through statistical analysis on questionnaire survey data from 136 silkworm eggs producing farms in China,it was concluded that most silkworm eggs producing farms had such problems as follows: old production facilities and poor production condition, heavy staff burden, weak scientific and technological support, small operation scale and heavy surplus production capacity; narrow silkworm eggs sale channels and stubborn regional segmentation, insufficient innovation and lack of technological support for diversified expansion. All these problems led to low labor productivity, low asset utilization rate and poor economic benefit in silkworm eggs producing farms in China. Except the provinces( regions) of Guangxi,Guangdong and Yunnan, the silkworm eggs producing farms in other provinces were generally at deficit condition. In the light of ownership, although silkworm eggs producing farms of different ownership systems were in the red, those of the private sector had the minimum deficit. Based on these findings,it is proposed to deepen system reformation of silkworm eggs producing farms, loosen control to price and circulation of silkworm eggs, implement large-scaled production and operation, speed up scientific and technological innovation, expand diversified development channels, and reinforce government support so as to increase production and operation benefits of silkworm eggs producing farms in China. 展开更多

In this study, we found for the first time that silkworm eggs were able to survive in vacuum for a long period of time. Subsequently, 10w energy Ar+ ions with different energies and fluences were used to bombard silkworm eggs so as to explore the resulting biological effects. Results showed that (i) the exposure of silkworm eggs to vacuum within 10 rain did not cause significant impact on the hatching rates, while the irradiation of silkworm eggs by Ar+ ions of 25 keV or 30 keV with fiuences ranging from 2.6×2.6× 10^15 ion/cm2 to 8×2.6 × 10^15 ion/cm2 caused a significant impact on the hatching rates, and the hatching rates decreased with the increase in the fluence and energy level; (ii) the irradiation of silkworm eggs by Ar+ ions of 30 keV with a fluence of 8×2.6 × 10^15 ion/cm2 or 9×2.6 × 10^15 ion/cm2 resulted in a noticeable etching on the egg shell surface which could be observed by a scanning electron microscope; and (iii) the irradiation of silkworm eggs by Ar+ ions of generated several mutant phenotypes which were 30 keV with a fiuence of 9×2.6× 10^15 ion/cm2 observed in the 5th instar silkworms and a moth. 展开更多

Its mechanism has not yet been clarified. This experiment explored the effect of HCl on the termination of diapause of silkworm eggs cold-stored for 45 days from the point of proteomes. Two-dimensional electrophoresis techniques and ESI- MS-MS were used to compare and analyze the variation expression of difficult-dissolved-proteins of diapause eggs coldstored for 45 days before and after acid treatment. Through analysis on the two-dimensional electrophoretogram, there were 296 dots before acid treatment and 302 after the treatment, respectively. Amongst them 265 dots were matchable. The matchability reached 88.6%. There were 31 specific protein dots before acid treatment and 37 after acid treatment, respectively. ESI-MS-MS analysis was conducted for two specific protein-rich dots which disappeared after acid treatment. The results indicated that the sequence of No. 1 protein dot had 55 amino acids' peptide matched with those of chorion protein (Bombyx mori). While the sequence of No. 2 protein dot had only 15 amino acids' peptide matched with those of heat shock protein hsp 19.9 (Bombyx mori), and it was presumed to be an unknown protein. The difficult-dissolvedproteins of diapause eggs have variation expression after acid treatment. Some proteins before and after acid treatment are changed in MW. 展开更多
