Within each step of proposed algorithm, the particles perform small displacements, proportional to the out-of-balance forces, acting on them. Numerical experiments show that if the liquid is confined within boundaries of a set of inter-communicating vessels, then the proposed method converges to a final equilibrium state. This incremental static analysis approximates dynamic behavior with strong damping and can provide information, as a first approximation to 2D movement of a liquid. In the initial arrangement of particles, a rhombic element is proposed, which assures satisfactory incompressibility of the fluid. Based on the proposed algorithm, a simple and short computer program (a “pocket” program) has been developed, with only about 120 Fortran instructions. This program is first applied to an amount of liquid, contained in a single vessel. A coarse and refined discretization is tried. In final equilibrium state of liquid, the distribution on hydro-static pressure on vessel boundaries, obtained by proposed computational model, is found in satisfactory approximation with corresponding theoretical data. Then, an opening is formed, at the bottom of a vertical boundary of initial vessel, and the liquid is allowed to flow gradually to an adjacent vessel. Almost whole amount of liquid is transferred, from first to second vessel, except of few drops-particles, which remain, in equilibrium, at the bottom of initial vessel. In the final equilibrium state of liquid, in the second vessel, the free surface level of the liquid confirms that the proposed rhombing element assures a satisfactory incompressibility of the fluid.展开更多

We try to add dopants into the front and back surfaces of the VMJ cell to release this strict requirement in this work. The effects of recombination velocities, doping types and doping pro- files of front and back surfaces on the performance of the P-type VMJ cell were calculated under 1 sun and 1000 suns. The 2D numerical simulation tool TCAD software was used. The performance of the VMJ cell without front and back surface dopants was also calculated for comparison. It was found that the requirement of high quality front and back surface passivation layers could be released remarkably by adding either N-type or W-type front and back surface dopants. For the two types of front surface dopants, the highest efficiencies of the cells were got by light dopant; for the two types of back surface dopants, the doping type and profile affected little on the performance of the cell in our calculation range. It was also found that the series resistance of the VMJ cell with N-type front surface dopant was decreased by the 2D effect of front surface emitter. The VMJ cell with W-type front surface dopant had the highest efficiency under 1000 suns and the VMJ cell with N-type front surface dopant had the highest efficiency under 1 sun in our calculation range.展开更多

The results show that the Ar jet exhibits a cylindrical-shaped channel and the jet channel gradually shrinks with the increase in propagation length. The jet propagation velocity varies with time. Inside the dielectric tube, the plasma jet accelerates propagation and reaches its maximum value near the nozzle. Exiting the tube, its velocity quickly decreases and when approaching the metal plane, the decrease in jet velocity slows down. The increase in gas speed results in the variation of jet spatial distribution. The electron density presents a solid structure at lower gas flow speeds, whereas an annular structure can be observed under the higher gas flow velocity in the ionization head. The jet length increases with the flow velocity. However, when the flow velocity exceeds a critical value, the increase in the rate of the plasma jet length slows down. In addition, the gas velocity effect on the generation and transport of the reactive particles is also studied and discussed.展开更多
