文摘Cemented paste backfill(CPB)technology is a green mining method used to control underground goaves and tailings ponds. The curing process of CPB in the stope is the product of a thermo-hydro-mechanical-chemical multi-field performance interaction. At present, research on the multi-field performance of CPB mainly includes indoor similar simulation experiments,in-situ multi-field performance monitoring experiments,multi-field performance coupling model construction of CPB,and numerical simulation of the multi-field performance of CPB.Because it is hard to study the in-situ multi-field performance of CPB in the real stope, most current research on in-situ multi-field performance adopts the numerical simulation method.By simulating the conditions of CPB in the real stope(e.g.,maintenance environment, stope geometry, drainage conditions, and barricade and backfilling rates),the multi-field performance of CPB is further studied. This paper summarizes the mathematical models employed in the numerical simulation and lists the engineering application cases of numerical simulation in the in-situ multi-field performance of CPB.Finally,it proposes that the multi-field performance of CPB needs to strengthen the theoretical study of multi-field performance, form the strength design criterion based on the multi-field performance of CPB,perform a full-range numerical simulation of the multi-field performance of CPB,develop a pre-warning technology for the CPB safety of CPB,develop automatic and wireless sensors for the multi-field performance monitoring of CPB,and realize the application and popularization of CPB monitoring technology.

文摘Fracture propagation is affected by multi-metal-veins formed by geological diagenesis in shale during the hydraulic fracturing. However, the influence of multi-metal-veins on fractures propagation remains unclear. To solve the problem, based on the semi-circle bending(SCB)test and the extended finite element(XFEM)theory, the interaction between multi-metal-veins and fractures is investigated. The experimental results reveal that the fractures usually deflect at the upper or lower interfaces between metal veins and rocks(e.g.the specimen S-2),which is different from the propagation behavior of fractures in calcite veins.Meanwhile, the fracture toughness of the specimen S-1 is 24.40%higher than that of the specimen S-2,indicating that the increasing of total thickness of multiple metal veins in-creases the resistance to the fracture vertical propagation. The simulation results show that the increasing of the number, total thickness of veins, the modulus difference between veins and rock, the approach angle and the notch angle all increase the resistance of the fracture passing through metal veins. The maximum deviation distance(Dmax)of the fracture decreases with the number of veins, while thickness combination types of metal veins do not affect Dmax. The reduction of the notch angle leads to the more tortuous fracture propagation path. Finally,we propose a new comprehensive fracture network pattern.Fracture networks are divided into two categories, including orthogonal fracture networks and sub-orthogonal fracture networks, and then divided into six sub-categories further. The research results will provide reference for hydraulic fracturing of shale reservoirs containing multi-metal-veins.

文摘The utilization of an appropriate collector or surfactant is crucial for the beneficiation of low-rank coal. However,in previous studies, the selection of surfactants was primarily based on flotation procedures, which hinders the understanding of the interaction mechanism between surfactant groups and oxygen-containing functional groups at the surface of low-rank coal.In this study,we investigate the flotation of low-rank coal in the presence of a composite collector by using a combined theoretical and experimental approach. The maximum flotation mass recovery achieved was 82.89%using a 3:1 mixture of dodecane and castor oil acid.Fourier-transform infrared and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic analyses showed that castor oil acid was effectively adsorbed onto the surface of low-rank coal, enhancing the hydrophobicity of the coal.In addition, the diffusion coefficient of water molecules in the water-composite collector-coal system was greater than that in the dodecane system. Moreover, due to the presence of castor oil acid in the flotation process, the adsorption distance of dodecane and low-rank coal became shorter.Molecular dynamics simulations revealed that the diffusion and interaction of surfactant molecules at the interface of low-rank coal particles and water was enhanced because the adsorption of the dodecane-castor oil acid mixture is primarily controlled by hydrogen bonds and electrostatic attraction.Based on these results,a better surfactant for flotation of low-rank coal is also proposed.
文摘Piles in a group experience additional displacements in soil due to pile-to-pile interactions apart from those resulting from the external loading. The effect of these interactions determined assuming soil as an elastic and/or viscoelastic material on pile head impedance functions of the pile group is studied by relating the group stiffness to the static stiffness of a single pile. However, the prevailing elastic solutions may misestimate the resulting pile group response due to the lack of consideration for either soil(material)and/or soil-pile interface nonlinearities. It is well established that soil behaves nonlinearly under moderate-to-high loading amplitudes, and besides, the soil-pile interface nonlinearity can exist even at small loading amplitudes. This study addresses the effects of these nonlinearities on the vertical impedance functions of a 3×3-pile group using numerical methods by direct analyses and superposition using pile-to-pile interaction factors. The numerical results are validated using scaled model tests under 1 g conditions. The results highlight the overestimation of pile-to-pile interactions in the pile group when assuming elastic soil conditions. The cases either by direct analyses or superposition approach involving soil and soil-pile interface nonlinearities agree well with the experimental pile group responses under close-to-elastic and nonlinear conditions.

文摘Earth’s magnetopause is a thin boundary separating the shocked solar wind plasma from the magnetospheric plasmas, and it is also the boundary of the solar wind energy transport to the magnetosphere.Soft X-ray imaging allows investigation of the large-scale magnetopause by providing a two-dimensional(2-D)global view from a satellite.By performing 3-D global hybrid-particle-in-cell(hybrid-PIC)simulations,we obtain soft X-ray images of Earth’s magnetopause under different solar wind conditions, such as different plasma densities and directions of the southward interplanetary magnetic field. In all cases, magnetic reconnection occurs at low latitude magnetopause. The soft X-ray images observed by a hypothetical satellite are shown, with all of the following identified:the boundary of the magnetopause, the cusps, and the magnetosheath.Local X-ray emissivity in the magnetosheath is characterized by large amplitude fluctuations(up to 160%);however,the maximum line-of-sight-integrated X-ray intensity matches the tangent directions of the magnetopause well, indicating that these fluctuations have limited impact on identifying the magnetopause boundary in the X-ray images. Moreover, the magnetopause boundary can be identified using multiple viewing geometries. We also find that solar wind conditions have little effect on the magnetopause identification. The Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer(SMILE)mission will provide X-ray images of the magnetopause for the first time, and our global hybrid-PIC simulation results can help better understand the 2-D X-ray images of the magnetopause from a 3-D perspective, with particle kinetic effects considered.

文摘The process of entrainment-mixing between cumulus clouds and the ambient air is important for the development of cumulus clouds.Accurately obtaining the entrainment rate(λ)is particularly important for its parameterization within the overall cumulus parameterization scheme. In this study,an improved bulk-plume method is proposed by solving the equations of two conserved variables simultaneously to calculateλof cumulus clouds in a large-eddy simulation. The results demonstrate that the improved bulk-plume method is more reliable than the traditional bulk-plume method, becauseλ,as calculated from the improved method, falls within the range ofλvalues obtained from the traditional method using different conserved variables. The probability density functions ofλfor all data, different times, and different heights can be well-fitted by a log-normal distribution, which supports the assumed stochastic entrainment process in previous studies.Further analysis demonstrate that the relationship betweenλand the vertical velocity is better than other thermodynamic/dynamical properties;thus, the vertical velocity is recommended as the primary influencing factor for the parameterization ofλin the future. The results of this study enhance the theoretical understanding ofλand its influencing factors and shed new light on the development ofλparameterization.
