A watt-class backward wave oscillator is proposed, using the concise sine waveguide slow-wave structure combined with a pencil electron beam to operate at 220 GHz. Firstly, the dispersion curve of the sine waveguide is calculated, then, the oscillation frequency and operating voltage of the device are predicted and the circuit transmission loss is calculated. Finally, the particle-in-cell simulation method is used to forecast its radiation performance. The results show that this novel backward wave oscillator can produce over 1-W continuous wave power output in a frequency range from 210 GHz to 230 GHz. Therefore, it will be considered as a very promising high-power millimeter-wave to terahertz-wave radiation source. 展开更多

Target detection is one of the key technology of precision chemical application.Previously the digital coding modulation technique was commonly used to emit and receive the optical signal in the target detection systems previously in China.It was difficult to adjust the output power,and the anti-interference ability was weak in these systems.In order to resolve these problems,the target detection method based on analog sine-wave modulation was studied.The spectral detecting system was set up in the aspects of working principle,electric circuit,and optical path.Lab testing was performed.The results showed that the reflected signal from the target varied inversely with detection distances.It indicated that it was feasible to establish the target detection system using analog sine-wave modulation technology.Furthermore,quantitative measurement of the reflected optical signal for near-infrared and visible light could be achieved by using this system.The research laid the foundation for the future development of the corresponding instrument. 展开更多

Based on the characteristics of 1D waves,the stress uniformity process in specimens under different loading conditions of rectangular and half-sine input waves was analyzed in split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) test.The results show that the times of an elastic wave propa-gating from one end to the other in a specimen to attain stress equilibrium,is related to input wave-forms and relative mechanical impedance between the specimen and the input/output bars.Here-into,with the increae of the relative impedance,the times decreases under rectangular input waves loading,while it increases under half-sine input wave loading.The dimensionless stress value of specimen corresponding to the status of stress equilibrium increases with the increase of the rela-tive mechanical impedance.However,the dimensionless stress value under half-sine input wave loading is significantly lower than the value under rectangular input wave loading for specimen with low mechanical impedance,and the relative differentia of the dimensionless stress values under two loading conditions decreases with the increase of the relative mechanical impedance.In gen-eral,the forced state of specimen with relatively low mechanical impedance under half-sine input wave loading is evidently superior to the state under rectangular input wave loading in SHPB test,and the advantages of forced state under half-sine input wave loading turns weak with the increase of the relative mechanical impedance. 展开更多

Fast High Order Algorithm for Three-Dimensional Helmholtz Equation Involving Impedance Boundary Condition with Large Wave Numbers

Acoustic fields with impedance boundary conditions have high engineering applications, such as noise control and evaluation of sound insulation materials, and can be approximated by three-dimensional Helmholtz boundary value problems. Finite difference method is widely applied to solving these problems due to its ease of use. However, when the wave number is large, the pollution effects are still a major difficulty in obtaining accurate numerical solutions. We develop a fast algorithm for solving three-dimensional Helmholtz boundary problems with large wave numbers. The boundary of computational domain is discrete based on high-order compact difference scheme. Using the properties of the tensor product and the discrete Fourier sine transform method, the original problem is solved by splitting it into independent small tridiagonal subsystems. Numerical examples with impedance boundary conditions are used to verify the feasibility and accuracy of the proposed algorithm. Results demonstrate that the algorithm has a fourth- order convergence in  and -norms, and costs less CPU calculation time and random access memory. 展开更多

Controlling a sine wave gating single-photon detector by exploiting its filtering loophole

GHz single-photon detector (SPD) is a crucial part in the practical high speed quantum key distribution (QKD) system. However, any imperfections in a practical QKD system may be exploited by an eavesdropper (Eve) to collect information about the key without being discovered. The sine wave gating SPD (SG-SPD) based on InGaAs/InP avalanche photodiode, one kind of practical high speed SPD, may also contain loopholes. In this paper, we study the principle and characteristic of the SG-SPD and find out the filtering loophole of the SG-SPD for the first time. What is more, the proof-of-principle experiment shows that Eve could blind and control Bob's SG-SPD by exploiting this loophole. We believe that giving enough attention to this loophole can improve the practical security of the existing QKD system. In this paper, we consider the generalized Korteweg-de-Vries (KdV) equations which are remarkable models of the water waves mechanics, the shallow water waves, the quantum mechanics, the ion acoustic waves in plasma, the electro-hydro-dynamical model for local electric field, signal processing waves through optical fibers, etc. We determine the useful and further general exact traveling wave solutions of the above mentioned NLDEs by applying the exp(−τ(ξ))-expansion method by aid of traveling wave transformations. Furthermore, we explain the physical significance of the obtained solutions of its definite values of the involved parameters with graphic representations in order to know the physical phenomena. Finally, we show that the exp(−τ(ξ))-expansion method is convenient, powerful, straightforward and provide more general solutions and can be helping to examine vast amount of travelling wave solutions to the other different kinds of NLDEs. 展开更多

目的探讨WASP家族富含脯氨酸同源蛋白1(WASP-family verprolin-homologous protein 1,WAVE1)及基质金属蛋白酶-2(matrix metalloproteinases-2,MMP-2)和基质金属蛋白酶-9(MMP-9)在卵巢癌的表达及临床意义。方法采用免疫组化SABC三步法检... 目的探讨WASP家族富含脯氨酸同源蛋白1(WASP-family verprolin-homologous protein 1,WAVE1)及基质金属蛋白酶-2(matrix metalloproteinases-2,MMP-2)和基质金属蛋白酶-9(MMP-9)在卵巢癌的表达及临床意义。方法采用免疫组化SABC三步法检测47例卵巢癌、30例卵巢良性肿瘤和21例正常卵巢组织中WAVE1、MMP-2、MMP-9的表达,并对卵巢癌组织WAVE1与MMP-2、MMP-9的表达进行相关性分析。结果①WAVE1、MMP-2及MMP-9在卵巢癌中的表达均高于在正常卵巢组织及卵巢良性组织中的表达,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);Spearman相关分析显示,WAVE1和MMP-2、MMP-9两两表达成正相关(r=0.773,r=0.664,P<0.05)。②WAVE1的表达与卵巢癌的临床分期、组织分化及Ca-125水平有关(P<0.05),与年龄、肿瘤的直径无关(P>0.05)。MMP-2、MMP-9表达与卵巢癌的临床分期有关(P<0.05),与年龄、组织分化、Ca-125水平及肿瘤直径无关(P>0.05)。结论 WAVE1和MMP-2、MMP-9在卵巢癌中呈现高表达,早期联合筛查WAVE1和MMP-2、MMP-9指标对卵巢癌病情演变和预后评估有着重要的临床意义。 展开更多
