Doris Lessing,a British female writer,published her first work,The Grass is Singing in 1950,which has attracted the attention of literary critics since its publication.From the perspectives of postcolonialism,ecology and ecofeminism,the critics interpret the racial oppression and conflicts in the African colonies and the tragic story of Mary,which is the heroine under the influence of racial discrimination.From the perspective of feminist criticism theory,this paper mainly discusses the survival and spiritual dilemma faced by Mary,the heroine who is oppressed and bound in the patriarchal society,the reasons behind Mary’s dilemma,and Mary’s behavior and measures when facing the dilemma.It reveals the survival status of women in patriarchal society,which is the author’s criticism and irony of the patriarchal society.It is of positive significance for the development of feminist literature to cry out about women’s miserable situation.

Analysis on the Characteristics of Singing Liao Songs with Male Voice in Pingguo of Guangxi

Liao songs are the cultural and artistic products brewed by the people of Zhuang ethnic minority for thousand years. In this paper, the style and characteristics of singing Zhuang ethnic minority＇s Liao songs with male＇s two-part voice in Guangxi are mainly introduced through an analysis of vocal music and the study on the performance forms, singing language characteristics, and vocal music and resonance is mainly included, and also the important significance of singing Zhuang ethnic minority＇s Liao songs with male＇s two-part voice is discussed. Also, it is compared with the modern Chinese folk singing styles.

Eco-mindfulness in Buddhism

Many of those involved in the ecological movement have found inspiration and parallels within the Buddhist tradition. The Buddhist philosophy of karmic causality and dependent origination （pratitya-samutpada） convey the notion of interdependence of humans and nature. Today, especially in the United States, there are many movements, such as the Buddhist Peace Fellowship, to promote eco-living and sustainable communities, which call for humans to be mindful of the environment and make conscientious choices for the benefit of all sentient beings and non-sentient entities. Just as humans have been the cause of the gradual deterioration of Nature, we can also be the solution towards an coo-conscious living, which not only fosters a healthy environment, but also enables us to build good merit. The core Buddhist teaching, which must be embraced by all eco-minded practitioners is the notion of interdependence, which has been expounded by notable Japanese Buddhist figures in the eighth century, such as Kukai （774-835） of the Shingon School and Dogen （1200-1253） of the Soto Zen sect, who both viewed that non-living life forms--trees, plants, and the earth--could also achieve enlightenment. Their view is based on the ontological notions of Buddha-nature （tathagata-garbha） and Indra＇s Jewel Net, which is a powerful image found in Huayen＇s （Jpn. Kegon） Avatamsaka Sutra. This paper examines Buddhist teachings and sutras, which support eco-friendly and sustainable movements in our society and world today.

The state of the Mind in a Revolutionary state of the State

The article epitomises its foundations by providing definitional and explanative dichotomy among the State, Nation, and Nation State. It affords a depiction of the centrality of the mind, the interface of the body and mind in behavioural manifestations. It furthermore acknowledges that nothing occurs in a vacuum but in the context of the fullness of the mind. The visible manifestations of human behaviour are contended to be informed by the noiselessness invisible aspects of the mind. The same noiseless mind that informs the behavioural visibility that becomes somewhat active and busier in its conspicuousness. The dual existence of things and events in a revolutionary context that transcends to other behavioural undertones is discoursed. In the context application of the revolutionary mapping, the mind is presented as a culprit revolutionarist that wages revolutions without fear of external threats through arrests, danger, pain, terror, dread, apprehension, detentions, and any other similar means including death. The article settles that the mind is the determinant factor of human behaviours and it therefore defines the state of the State in any revolutionary circumstance. It denotes a functional separatism of the mind from the brain which is an organ of the body thereby equally accepting that the brain functionalises the mind. The equal essential role of the mind in post revolution construction to establish and promote an acceptable system of government that responds to socio-economic factors is detailed herein the manuscript. A deliberate attempt is made not to be suggestive and prescriptive on the shape and form of such a post revolution system of government.

The evolution and development of Searle’s philosophy of mind can be divided into two important stages,i.e.the origin and beginning stage between 1960sand 1970s,the formation and development stage since 1980s.Searle’s Speech Act Theory started the research on philosophy of mind,which is considered as the origin of his philosophy of mind.The Theories of Intentionality and Chinese Room Argument are the most important and most influential academic findings in his research in the field of philosophy of mind,which lay a solid theoretical foundation for the formation and development of his theories of philosophy of mind.Searle’s philosophy of mind finds wide prospect in the research field,which provides a new direction to understand the world and probe into mind,proposes a new perspective and methodology for the study of language,and promotes the new development of the study of language.

Romanticism is an important stage in the evolution of man's self-consciousness. It shows new interest in and new concern with man and nature. Wordsworth is well-known as a nature poet. A Critique on Katie's Language in Mockingbird Don't Sing

This paper aims at critiquing Katie's language in the famous film, Mockingbird Don't Sing, which is a 2001 American independent film based on the true story of Genie, a modern-day feral child, discovered in California in 1970. The analyses of Katie's language are based on Katie's language by the stimulation of some people around her after she escaped from her home according to the theories of the interactionist position, Behaviorism, the affective filter hypothesis, Innatism, the stages of language development and the critical period hypothesis. Katie's abnormal language bitterly proves the importance of critical period for language acquisition and language learning.

环磷酰胺激活小鼠肝微粒体谷胱甘肽S-转移酶Ⅰ的机制研究

目的探讨环磷酰胺(CP)在体内对小鼠肝微粒体谷胱甘肽S-转移酶Ⅰ(mGST-Ⅰ)活性的影响及其可能的机制。方法用苯巴比妥75 mg·kg-1诱导小鼠CYP2B后,ip CP,测定9 h内mGST-Ⅰ酶活性,观察二巯基丁二醇(DTT)对酶激活的逆转作用和巯基烷化剂N-乙基马来酰亚胺(NEM)对酶再激活效应,用SDS-PAGE和负染凝胶法评价CP对mGST-Ⅰ蛋白表达的影响。结果 CP引起小鼠微粒体中mGST-Ⅰ活性增加;NEM在mGST-Ⅰ半胱氨酸-49-巯基(cys-49-SH)上的活化效应减弱,而CP引起的mGST-Ⅰ激活效应不被二硫键还原剂DTT逆转。激活的mGST-Ⅰ电泳图谱未见蛋白分子量变迁及蛋白表达增加。结论大剂量CP致mGST-Ⅰ激活效应机制主要是酶分子cys-49-SH上单个巯基的修饰作用。

Hempel＇ s Dilemma and the Threat of Being Misjudged

Recently P.Bokulich suggests a newway to grab the first horn of Hempel’s Dilemma.His strategy is to define "the physical" with "the stuff recognized by currently well-understood parts of physics",such as Quantum electrodynamics,as far as the mindbody problem is concerned.I argue that the physicalism doctrine formulated following Bokulich’s suggestion is still under the threat of being misjudged and also will not be welcomed by the physicalists.After considering some potential objections,I conclude that Bokulich’s strategy fails.

The Research of the Relationship Between Yangming’s Yixue and His Xinxue

Yangming’s Yixue had been developed several times in his life since originated in Longchang.Yangming’s Yixue and his Xinxue are both sides of the same corn.The Yangming’s Yixue can be roughly divided into two periods.There were the early and middle period of Yangming’s Yixue,which is intended to explain the principles of Yi Zhuan(《易传》)with the theory of Xinxue.The finish of Yangming’s Yixue was a second stage in Yangming’s later years.From the perspective of form and content,there are differences that cannot be ignored between Yangming’s early and middle period and his later years.In the first stage of Yangming’s study,the“Virtuousness”(贞)in Book of Changes is the principle and nature in university.In the later period,Yangming had not focused on interpreting the“Yi Zhuan”,but on the interpretation of ZhouYi’s(《周易》)principles to supplement the connotation of the propositions of Xinxue.This article intends to understand the relationship between Yangming’s Yixue and his Xinxue by dividing the different stages of Yangming’s Yixue firstly.Then by focusing on the influence of Yangming’s later years’Yixue on his Xinxue,we can observe the relation between his Yixue and Xinxue.

Study on the Organic Correlation of Prana Energy

Since India＇s philosophical discussion on the correlation between the mind and the body, the goal achieved through practice has been imbued with much meaning under the influences of yoga. Self-transcendence can be reached through self-discipline that is founded upon the fundamental change and potential for existential practice. The mind and the body do not comprise a binary relationship but instead maintain an intimate relationship bound by the medium of organic energy of breathing, breath, and pr^0a. Of these medium that form the relationship, the pr^-0a has a natural healing tendency, which has been well documented within classics such as Upani.sads and Bhagavad G^ta. Classic yoga explains that pr^0a imbues within it a vivacious passion and energy that will connect the human body with the human mind. Thus, the pr^0a functions as bio-energy. From ancient Indian philosophy to Buddhism, yoga therapy actively utilizes practice as a main element. In particular, the Patafijali yoga＇s methodology details the organic correlation within its eight limbs （支） yoga practices. The prana is breath. This is the only sense in which Patafijali has used this word. Breath is called prana because it moves on continuously throughout the body and reaches the basic circle of the individual self. It pervades mouth, nostrils, heart, navel region and toes. As a result, it is a healing method that achieves far more than the scientific healing methods common in society.

Transition to adulthood: A critical role for exercise in building overall well-being

A growing number of multidisciplinary studies have reported the beneficial effects of physical activities towards the development of overall well-being and the reduction of chronic illnesses. Physical inactivity is a serious worldwide problem and is considered the key lifestyle factor that negatively influences health and function of individuals. Here we propose that growth kinetics of body and mind and associated disproportionate physical activity may have considerable effects on the increased physical and mental illnesses and premature death rates currently observed in mid to late adulthood people. Children and young adults, being in exponential growth phase and self-motivated to engage in physical activity, possess more cognition, resilience, and mind-body-emotion-spirit integration. In contrast, as our body transitions into adulthood, there is a decline in the growth of body and mind. Furthermore, in this period, adults experience the increased stressors of career and financial demands, time pressure, and family responsibilities. The decline in growth combined with prolonged stress appears to result in reduced cognition, resilience, and mind-body-emotion-spirit integration, leading to sedentary and other faulty lifestyles, which could further lead to a predisposition to maladaptive behaviours and various chronic diseases at a later stage. In agreement with this, currently more than two thirds of the adult population across the world are physically inactive and are failing to perform the daily recommended guidelines of moderate to vigorous exercise. As negative changes and faulty lifestyles begin to occur during and after adulthood transition, creating awareness in people between 29 to 35 years of age about mindful exercise should be considered a national priority. This would allow adults to achieve overall well-being, and increased productivity and life expectancy, reducing health care-associated economic burden placed on the nation.
