The Eigenvalue Properties of a Kind of Singular Differential Equations in 3-Dimensional Space

In this paper,we consider the eigenvalue problem of the singular differential equation-Δu_(i)-h/|x|^(2) u_(i)+V(x)u_(i)=λ_(i)(V,h)u_(i) in a bounded open ball with Dirichlet boundary condition in 3-dimensional space,where,V∈V={a∈L^(∞)(Ω)|0≤a≤M a.e.,M is a given constant}.And we have made a detailed characterization of the weak solution space.Furthermore,the existence of the minimum eigenvalue and the fundamental gap are provided.

ON THE SINGULAR PERTURBATION OF A NONLINEAR ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION WITH TWO PARAMETERS

In this paper,the method of differential inequalities has been applied to study theboundary value problems of nonlinear ordinary differential equation with two parameters.The asymptotic solutions have been found and the remainders have been estimated.

A class of twostep continuity Runge-Kutta methods for solving singular delay differential equations and its convergence

An idea of relaxing the effect of delay when computing the Runge-Kutta stages in the current step and a class of two-step continuity Runge-Kutta methods （TSCRK） is presented. Their construction, their order conditions and their convergence are studied. The two-step continuity Runge-Kutta methods possess good numerical stability properties and higher stage-order, and keep the explicit process of computing the Runge-Kutta stages. The numerical experiments show that the TSCRK methods are efficient.

ASYMPTOTIC SOLUTION OF SINGULAR PERTURBATION PROBLEMS FOR THE FOURTH-ORDER ELLIPTIC DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

In this paper we consider the singularly perturbed boundary value problem for the fourth-order elliptic differential equation, establish the energy estimates of the solutionand its derivatives and construct the formal asymptotic solution by Lyuternik- Vishik 's method. Finally, by means of the energy estimates we obtain the bound of the remainder of the asymptotic solution.

THREE-SPHERE INEQUALITIES FOR SECOND ORDER SINGULAR PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

In this article, we give the three-sphere inequalities and three-ball inequalities for the singular elliptic equation div（A∨u） - Vu =0, and the three-ball inequalities on the characteristic plane and the three-cylinder inequalities for the singular parabolic equation Эtu-div（A∨u） ＋ Vu = 0, where the singular potential V belonging to the Kato-Fefferman- Phong＇s class. Some applications are also discussed.

PIECEWISE CONTINUOUS SOLUTIONS OF INITIAL VALUE PROBLEMS OF SINGULAR FRACTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS WITH IMPULSE EFFECTS

Results on the existence of piecewise continuous solutions for two classes of initial value problems of impulsive singular fractional differential equations are obtained.

CONORMAL SINGULARITIES FOR SOLUTION OF SEMILINEAR PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

In the studies of nonlinear partial differential equations, the influence, from the singularities of coefficients to the singularities of solution, is a field that has not been dealt with. In this paper, we discuss a simple case of semilinear equations under the frame of the space of conormal distributions. We prove the result that the solution has the same singularities on the hypersurface in which the coefficients have the conormal singularities.

A UNIFORMLY CONVERGENT SECOND ORDER DIFFERENCE SCHEME FOR A SINGULARLY PERTURBED SELF-ADJOINT ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION IN CONSERVATION FORM

In this paper, based on the idea of El-Mistikawy and Werle[1] we construct a difference scheme for a singularly perturbed self-adjoint ordinary differential equation in conservation form. We prove that it is a uniformly convergent second order scheme.

NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF QUASILINEAR SINGULARLY PERTURBED ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION WITHOUT TURNING POINTS

In this paper we consider a quasilinear second order ordinary diferential equation with a small parameter Firstly an approximate problem is constructed. Then an iterative procedure is developed. Finally we give an algorithm whose accuracy is good for arbitrary e>0 .

SINGULAR PERTURBATION OF BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM FOR QUASILINEAR HIGHER ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION

In this paper we study the singular perturbation of boundary value problems with perturbations both in the operator and in the interval ends. So as to prove the existence and uniqueness of solution of perturbed problem, to establish the asymptotic expression involving three parameters. Thus, the iterative equation of finding the asymptotic solution is derived and the estimation of the remainder term is given out. We extend results of [l]-[5].

SECOND-ORDER ACCURATE DIFFERENCE METHOD FOR THE SINGULARLY PERTURBED PROBLEM OF FOURTH-ORDER ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

In this paper, we construct a uniform second-order difference scheme for a class of boundary value problems of fourth-order ordinary differential equations. Finally, a numerical example is given.

UNIQUENESS OF SOLUTIONS OF SINGULARLY PERTURBED BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEMS FOR THIRD QRDER NONLINEAR ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

By making use of the differential inequalities, in this paper we study the uniqueness of solutions of the two kinds of the singularly perturbed boundary value problems for the nonlinear third order ordinary differential equation with a small parameter ε>0: where i=1, 2; a(?)(ε), β(ε) and γ(ε) are functions defined on (0, ε_o], while ε_o>0 is a constant.This paper is the continuation of our works [4, 6].

THE UNIFORMLY CONVERGENT DIFFERENCE SCHEMES FOR A SINGULAR PERTURBATION PROBLEM OF A SELFADJOINT ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION

In this paper, we construct a class of difference schemes with fitted factors for a singular perturbation problem of a self-adjoint ordinary differential equation. Using a different method from [1], by analyzing the truncation errors of schemes, we give the sufficient conditions under which the solution of lite difference scheme converges uniformly to the solution of the differential equation. From this we propose several specific schemes under weaker conditions, and give much higher order of uniform convergence, and applying them to example, obtain the numerical results.

A HIGH ACCURACY DIFFERENCE SCHEME FOR THE SINGULAR PERTURBATION PROBLEM OF THE SECOND-ORDER LINEAR ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION IN CONSERVATION FORM

In this paper, combining the idea of difference method and finite element method, we construct a difference scheme for a self-adjoint problem in conservation form. Its solution uniformly converges to that of the original differential equation problem with order h3.

Solution of Laguerre’s Differential Equations via Modified Adomian Decomposition Method

This paper presents a technique for obtaining an exact solution for the well-known Laguerre’s differential equations that arise in the modeling of several phenomena in quantum mechanics and engineering. We utilize an efficient procedure based on the modified Adomian decomposition method to obtain closed-form solutions of the Laguerre’s and the associated Laguerre’s differential equations. The proposed technique makes sense as the attitudes of the acquired solutions towards the neighboring singular points are correctly taken care of.

ON THE HOLOMORPHIC SOLUTION OF NON-LINEAR TOTALLY CHARACTERISTIC EQUATIONS WITH SEVERAL SPACE VARIABLES

In this paper the authors study a class of non-linear singular partial differential equation in complex domain C-t x C-x(n). Under certain assumptions, they prove the existence and uniqueness of holomorphic solution near origin of C-t x C-x(n).

An Existence Theorem of Solution for a Singular Third-order Two-point Boundary Value Problem

By constructing suitable Banach space, an existence theorem is established under a condition of linear growth for the third-order boundary value problem u″′（t）＋f（t,u（t）,u′（t））=0,0〈t〈1,u（0）=u′（0）=u′（1）=0, where the nonlinear term contains first and second derivatives of unknown function. In this theorem the nonlinear term f（t, u, v, w） may be singular at t = 0 and t = 1. The main ingredient is Leray-Schauder nonlinear alternative.

On the Application of Adomian Decomposition Method to Special Equations in Physical Sciences

The current manuscript makes use of the prominent iterative procedure, called the Adomian Decomposition Method (ADM), to tackle some important special differential equations. The equations of curiosity in this study are the singular equations that arise in many physical science applications. Thus, through the application of the ADM, a generalized recursive scheme was successfully derived and further utilized to obtain closed-form solutions for the models under consideration. The method is, indeed, fascinating as respective exact analytical solutions are accurately acquired with only a small number of iterations.
