Effects of Health Education with Problem-Based Learning Approaches on the Knowledge, Attitude, Practice and Coping Skills of Women with High-Risk Pregnancies in Plateau Areas

Objective: Given the unique cultural background, way of life, and physical environment of the Tibetan Plateau, this study aims to investigate the effects of health education using problem-based learning (PBL) approaches on the knowledge, attitude, practice, and coping skills of women with high-risk pregnancies in this region. Methods: 76 high-risk pregnancy cases were enrolled at Tibet’s Linzhi People’s Hospital between September 2023 and April 2024. 30 patients admitted between September 2023 and December 2023 were selected as the control group and were performed with regular patient education. 46 patients admitted between January 2024 and April 2024 were selected as the observation group and were performed regular patient education with problem-based learning approaches. Two groups’ performance on their health knowledge, attitude, practice and coping skills before and after interventions were evaluated, and patient satisfaction were measured at the end of the study. Results: There was no statistical significance (P P P Conclusions: Health education with problem-based learning approaches is worth promoting as it can help high-risk pregnant women in plateau areas develop better health knowledge, attitude and practice and healthier coping skills. Objective: To explore the application effect of flipped classroom combined with problem-based learning teaching method in clinical skills teaching of standardized training for resident doctors of traditional Chinese Medicine. Methods: The study used the experimental control method. The study lasted from September to November 2022. The subjects of this study were 49 students of standardized training for resident doctors of traditional Chinese Medicine from grades 2020, 2021 and 2022 of Dazhou integrated TCM & Western Medicine Hospital. They were randomly divided into experiment group (25) and control group (24). The experiment group adopted flipped classroom combined with problem-based learning teaching method, and the control group adopted traditional teaching method. The teaching content was 4 basic clinical skill projects, including four diagnoses of traditional Chinese Medicine, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, dressing change procedure, acupuncture and massage. The evaluation method was carried out by comparing the students’ performance and a self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the students’ evaluation of the teaching method. Results: The test scores of total scores in the experimental group (90.12 ± 5.89) were all higher than those in the control group (81.47 ± 7.96) (t = 4.53, P P Conclusions: The teaching process of the flipped classroom combined with problem-based learning teaching method is conducive to improving the efficiency of classroom teaching, cultivating students’ self-learning ability, and enhancing students’ willingness to learn. 展开更多

Aim: This study conducted to evaluate the effects of simulation-based training on nursing students’ communication skill, self-efficacy and clinical competence in practice. Subjects and Methods: Quiz-experimental design was used in this study (pre-posttest intervention), it was carried out on 100 nursing students first semester in 2019 using low and high-fidelity simulators. This study was carried out at College of Applied Medical Sciences-Bshia University. Data Collection: demographic data, communication skill, self-efficacy and clinical competence questionnaires. Analysis is done by SPSS version 20 software. Results: Participants who received the simulation-based training, showed statistical significant improvement in communication skill, self-efficacy, and clinical competence scores after participation in the simulation program (t = &#8722;32.64, p = 0.001;t = &#8722;19.9, p = 0.001;16.4, p = 0.001). Also, there are significant relation between gender and clinical competency (t = 2.768, p Conclusion: Simulation-based training in medical courses is effective in enhancing communication skill, self-efficacy and clinical competence. The measured results show that the maximum efficiency and the maximum output power are 2% and 194μW at 348 GHz. The saturation characteristic test shows that the output i dB compression point is about -8.5 dBm at 334 GHz and the maximum efficiency is obtained at the point, which is slightly below the 1 dB compression point. Compared with the conventional hybrid integrated circuit, a major advantage of the monolithic integrated circuit is the significant improvement of reliability and consistency. In this work, a terahertz monolithic frequency multiplier at this band is designed and fabricated. 展开更多

Four new Schiff bases with promising anticancer activity have been synthesized from 4-amino-3,5-dimethyl-1,2,4-triazole and di-pyridyl-aldehydes. Structures have been established by various spectroscopic methods. The compounds were tested in vitro to study their cytotoxicity and anti-oxidative activity in human lung carcinoma (A549), breast carcinoma (BT549), prostate adenocarcinoma (PC3) and mouse preadipocytes (3T3-L1) cells. Compound 1 was found to increase Glutathione (GSH) level slightly in all four cell lines. Compound 4 showed better selectivity and cytotoxicity against both BT549 and A549 cells compared to the anticancer drug tamoxifen. With the exception of compound 4 which reduced GSH levels in A549 and BT549, all other compounds maintained GSH levels in comparison to their respective controls. 展开更多

Japan has an advanced healthcare system, on par with any developed country;at the same time, it is challenged by a rapidly aging population. In line with other countries, medical and paramedical training differs from college or university to when the graduates start working in the hospital wards;it seems like a new career to freshmen. Rehabilitation draws together the most varied professional teams treating patients from a range of specialists, and physical therapists generally receive very little intra-workplace skills training. The aim of this paper is to develop the first of a two-part educational model that is useful for the professional development of therapists working in rehabilitation medicine, by incorporating, at least, Shared Decision-Making and Narrative-Based Medicine. The most productive systems of analysis are Bloom’s psychomotor taxonomy and the Japanese DIKW system. The Japanese DIKW model of “chishin”, which is based on Data, Information, Knowledge, and Wisdom, is similar to the professional attitude and rehabilitative mindset in the healthcare system, the convalescent rehabilitation wards. The individual, departmental, and hospital levels could all benefit from aspects of these systems. Rehabilitative medicine in Japanese terms is presented as a holistic medical care that heals the body and mind and restores dignity, such as personality and self-confidence, and it is also a place where unique Japanese cultural concepts such as “Ikigai” (reason to live) and “Omotenashi” (hospitality) can be nurtured as professional awareness. 展开更多

目的:探讨基于信息-动机-行为技巧(IMB)模型的护理干预在肾母细胞瘤患儿中的应用效果。方法:选取2019年1月-2022年8月收治的肾母细胞瘤患儿60例,采用计算机软件RandA1.0分为对照组(30例)和观察组(30例)。对照组采用常规护理,观察组采用... 目的:探讨基于信息-动机-行为技巧(IMB)模型的护理干预在肾母细胞瘤患儿中的应用效果。方法:选取2019年1月-2022年8月收治的肾母细胞瘤患儿60例,采用计算机软件RandA1.0分为对照组(30例)和观察组(30例)。对照组采用常规护理,观察组采用基于IMB模型的护理干预。比较两组患儿家属心理状态、患儿护理依从性、生活质量以及家属护理满意度。结果:干预前,两组焦虑评分、抑郁评分比较,差异无统计学意义(P>0.05);出院当天,两组患儿家长焦虑评分、抑郁评分低于干预前,且观察组低于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。观察组患儿总依从率高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。干预前,两组患儿生理功能、心理功能、社会功能以及躯体功能等生活质量指标评分比较,差异无统计学意义(P>0.05);干预一个月,两组患儿各项生活质量指标评分高于干预前,且观察组高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。观察组患儿家长满意度高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论:基于IMB模型的护理干预在肾母细胞瘤患儿中可缓解家长的心理状态,提高患儿护理依从性,改善其生活质量。 展开更多

目的 探讨基于成果导向教育(OBE)理念的案例教学法(CBL)教学联合模拟示教在临床思维与临床技能教学中的应用效果。方法 选取2021年9月至2022年9月于汉中市中心医院学习的西安医学院2018级和2019级的104名临床本科生为研究对象,随机将其... 目的 探讨基于成果导向教育(OBE)理念的案例教学法(CBL)教学联合模拟示教在临床思维与临床技能教学中的应用效果。方法 选取2021年9月至2022年9月于汉中市中心医院学习的西安医学院2018级和2019级的104名临床本科生为研究对象,随机将其分为对照组和观察组,每组52名。对照组采用传统教学方法,观察组采用基于OBE理念的CBL教学联合模拟示教。比较两组的教学效果。结果 观察组的基础理论知识、临床病例分析成绩均高于对照组(P<0.05)。观察组的病史采集、体格检查、腹腔穿刺术成绩高于对照组(P<0.05)。观察组的病情解释、病危通知、术前谈话、医患沟通成绩及总分高于对照组(P<0.05)。观察组的学习积极性、临床技能掌握程度、临床思维能力提升程度及学习兴趣良好占比高于对照组(P<0.05)。结论基于OBE理念的CBL教学联合模拟示教在临床思维与临床技能教学中的教学效果良好,值得推广。 展开更多

目的探究基于信息-动机-行为技巧(IMB)模型的健康教育在永久性膀胱造瘘患者中的应用效果.方法选择2015年7月至2017年3月本院门诊就医就诊携带永久性膀胱造瘘管的男性患者108例,随机将所选患者分为试验组和对照组,各54例.对照组患者实施... 目的探究基于信息-动机-行为技巧(IMB)模型的健康教育在永久性膀胱造瘘患者中的应用效果.方法选择2015年7月至2017年3月本院门诊就医就诊携带永久性膀胱造瘘管的男性患者108例,随机将所选患者分为试验组和对照组,各54例.对照组患者实施传统的健康教育,试验组实施基于IMB模型下的健康教育,随访1年,分别评价干预前后自我效能及自我管理行为,统计两组干预后患者并发症发生情况及干预前后生活质量的变化.结果试验组干预后自我效能(症状管理、疾病共性管理)及自我管理行为(认知性症状管理、与医生的沟通)得分均明显提高,与同组干预前比较,差异均有统计学意义(均P< 0.05),与对照组干预后比较,差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05);两组出现的并发症有堵管、结石、感染、膀胱痉挛,干预后试验组并发症的发生率(7.41%)及未按时换管率(7.41%)均明显低于对照组(37.04%、31.48%),均P< 0.05;SF-36量表测试结果显示试验组干预后各功能评分均明显提高,生活质量得到明显改善,与同组干预前比较,差异均有统计学意义(均P< 0.05),与对照组干预后比较,差异均有统计学意义(均P< 0.05).结论 IMB模型下健康教育模式有利于提高永久性膀胱造瘘患者的自我效能及自我管理行为,减少患者并发症的发生,提高患者的生活质量,值得在临床推广使用. 展开更多
