Authorities have endeavored to enact policies to protect all employers and patients in radiology departments. Objectives: To assess the impact of radiation safety practices and regulations on the ongoing improvements in radiation safety culture and practices in radiology departments. This will be achieved through a subjective assessment of national and international rules and regulations by healthcare professionals. Materials and Methods: We conducted a questionnaire survey in the radiology departments of three JCI-accredited hospitals in the Riyadh region to identify and assess the impact of national radiation regulations and the accompanying processes on the improvement of radiation safety culture and practices in radiology departments. Results: There were statistically significant differences in the grading system results among various groups of respondents, based on their educational level. Also, there are statistically significant differences between the assessments of safety level results in the answers provided by various groups of respondents according to education level in favor of the master’s degree. Conclusion: The study concludes that technicians with a diploma degree require stricter regulation. Furthermore, the results of this study suggest that an exposure tracking system and a regulatory action supporting it may be useful in the ongoing task of improving patients’ radiation safety.展开更多

Cultural context has a restrictive effect on the metaphorical meaning. Therefore, the understanding and use of metaphor must not be divorced from the underlying cultural context. This paper analyzes similarities and dissimilarities of metaphorical meaning and images in English and Chinese from the perspective of cultural context. The research of metaphor of cultural context would enable us to better understand metaphor and have a successful communication.展开更多

I believe that: enterprise management innovation is the innovation of the modem enterprise system, enterprise management innovation is necessary not only to establish modem corporate governance institutions, but also to establish a sound management system. Based on this idea, the purpose of this paper is to explore the enterprise management innovation, a true reflection of the necessity and creative approach to business management innovation. Through analysis, the enterprise management innovation is the scientific concept of development of specific applications in the field of enterprise management. Enterprise management innovation is the development of internal demand point of view, hoping to be helpful for Chinese enterprises to occupy a place in the fierce competition in the international market.展开更多

The mean levels of nutrients found in the pond surface water were 108 780 mg/L for CaCO 3, 0 526 mg/L for NH + 4 N, 3 075 wt% for organic carbon, 7 00 mg/L for PO 4 P, 5 57 mg/L for NO 3 N, and 7 33 mg/L for chlorophyll a. The maximum mean value of H 2S(0 232 mg/L) was found in estuarine water. Nutrients loading were found to be decreased with distance from the shrimp farm discharge unit in estuarine water. The mean level of organic matter, total nitrogen, and organic carbon were found in higher concentrations in sediments of cultured pond compared to bottom soil of adjacent fallow land at the same elevation. Extractable Ca values were found in higher concentration(550 33 ppt) in adjacent fallow land, as the shrimps for molting in shrimp ponds use extractable Ca. The relation between seawater H 2S value and sediment pH ( r= -0 94); sediment organic carbon and sediment pH values ( r= -0 76), sediment total nitrogen and sediment pH ( r= - 0 74) were found to be highly negatively correlated. Whereas the relation between seawater H 2S value and sediment total nitrogen ( r= 0 92), water NH + 4 N and sediment pH ( r= 0 66) were found to be positively correlated. The results revealed that load of nutrients at eutrophic level in estuarine water, and decrease of soil pH; leading to acid sulphate soil formation indicates a negative impact of shrimp culture.展开更多

Sediment samples, in different depths and from three stations at various distances from the cage, were collected, for analyzing total organic matter, total organic carbon, total nitrogen and phosphorus. The results showed a significant increase in all analyzed parameters in station 1, at 5 m from the cage. The difference between reference station (600 m from the cage) and station 2 at 95 m to the cage was insignificant, indicating lo- calized impact of cage farming to the vicinity of cage. The analyzed parameters in various depths did not show a significant difference. The values of analyzed parameters in the perimeter of the cage and their differences with reference stations showed small magnitude and localized impact on the chemistry of sediment. It might be because of deep water and moderate velocity of water current in this fjord. The magnitude of impact may dif- fer durina the summer when biomass and feedina rate would be at the maximum level.展开更多

Spreading this term and its importance to professionals and population is not an easy task. These cultural and awareness problems force us to understand and act to solve them. In this paper the authors have studied two samples of people with different education levels: the first one is formed by young geoscientists and the other one is formed by young people coming from different disciplines. The two groups of people have been initially the subject of a survey (by monitoring a base level) about the knowing of geoethics. In a second phase, they have been the subject of another survey after giving them some lectures and workshops on geoethics. The goal of the research was to find out how people accept the term "geoethics" and its application and how we can spread it effectively into communities in different ways. In Egypt there are some cultural problems that could affect on spreading of any new concept. These problems could be overcome by some scientific, social and culture actionable recommendations, and these recommendations could be applied in both Arab and African countries with few modifications.展开更多

The empirical analysis is based on the use of cross section data, which were derived from a sample survey to 372 residents of the city. The empirical analysis shows that, generally, the benefits of cultural tourism are recognized, even if the region is at an early stage of development. The findings of logistic regression model show that the view that competent bodies ensure that the promotion of local culture and local heritage is determined by the abundance of events, festivals, and local museums in the city.
