PCC 6803 cells grown in the BG-11 medium containing different concentrations of glucose and Na2S2O3 in this study. It was found that Na2S2O3 can effectively increase the percentage of sulphoquinovosyl diacylglycerol (SQDG) and phosphatidylglycerol (PG) to total membrane lipids and the simultaneous application of glucose with Na2S2O3 can counteract the effect of Na2S2O3. In addition, Na2S2O3 can significantly increase the percentage of palmitic acid (C, 16:0) in fatty acid composition of monogalactosyl diacylglycerol (MGDG) and digalactosyl diacylglycerol (DGDG) and decrease the fatty acid unsaturation degree accordingly, and these effects can also be eliminated by glucose. These results indicate that Na2S2O3 can take as a reductant to make membrane lipids in a low unsaturated state, and the simultaneous application of glucose can decrease the reducing power of Na2S2O3. In addition, Na2S2O3 can take as a sulfur donor for the synthesis of SQDG.展开更多

By means of laser particle size analyzer and scanning electron microscopy, the influences of temperature and initial molar ratio of Na2O to Al2O3 (aK) on agglomeration of fine seed in Bayer process were investigated. The results show that agglomeration is almost finished in 8 h, and seeds with size less than 2 μm are easily aggregated together, and almost disappear in 8 h under the optimal process conditions. In the aluminate solution with the same moderate initial aK, when the reaction temperature reaches 75 ℃, the secondary nucleation does not occur, and the effect of agglomeration is better. And at the same reaction temperature, when the initial aK is 1.62, the initial supersaturation of aluminate solution is moderate, the binders on the surfaces of the seed are enough to maintain the agglomeration process, and the agglomeration degree is better. From SEM images, agglomeration mainly occurs in the fine particles, the combinations among the fine particles are loose and the new formed coarse crystal shapes are irregular.展开更多

The field soil contained concentrations of Pb (307.31 mg⋅kg−1), Zn (207.77 mg⋅kg−1) and Cr (447.50 mg⋅kg−1). Both (0.01 M Na2S2O5), (Na2S2O5) + (0.1 HCl), and Distilled water were found to be effective on removing (Na2S2O5) Pb, Cr and Zn respectively. (Na2S2O5) + (0.1 HCl) Cr, Zn and Pb respectively. Sulfur Pb, Cr and Zn respectively. The removal rate of Pb, Zn, and Cr varied from 10.35% - 26%, 3.4% - 21.60% and 4.97% - 23.88% for (0.01 M Na2S2O5 respectively. The removal rate of Pb, Zn, and Cr varied from 16.13% - 20.07%, 8.20% - 23.48%, 5.42% - 28.93% for (0.01 M Na2S2O5 + 0.1 M HCl) respectively. The removal rate of Pb, Zn, and Cr varied from 10.20% - 25.5%, 9.55% - 25.13% and 6.04% - 25.54% for (S) respectively.展开更多
