Compact Maximal Space-like Submanifolds in a Pseudo-Riemannian Spacetime S_p^(m+p)

Abstract： This paper concerns space-like submanifolds in a pseudo-Riemannianspace-time Sp^m＋p∪→Ep^m＋p＋1 （P ≥ 1）, and proves that connected compact maximalsuace-like submanifolds in a pseudo-Riemannian spacetime Sp^m＋p∪→Ep^m＋p＋1 （P ≥ 1） must be totally umbilical, and also totally geodesic. Particularly, when p = 1, our result is just Montiel＇s in case of H = 0.

Compact Space-like Submanifolds in Pseudo-Riemann Manifold

We first establish a integral inequality for compact maximal space-like subman-ifolds in pseudo-Riemannian manifolds N^np+p. Then, we investigate compact space-like sub-manifolds and hupersurfaces with parallel second fundamental form in N^np+p and some other N^np+pambient spaces. We obtain some distribution theorems for the square norm of the secondfundamental form.

ON COMPLETE SPACE-LIKE SUBMANIFOLDS WITH PARALLEL MEAN CURVATURE VECTOR

Let M n be a complete space-like submanifold with parallel mean curvature vector in an indefinite space form N n+p p (c).A sharp estimate for the upper bound of the norm of the second fundamental form of M n is obtained. A generalization of this result to complete space-like hypersurfaces with constant mean curvature in a Lorentz manifold is given. Moreover, harmonic Gauss maps of M n in N n+p p(c) in a generalized sense are considered.

SPACE-LIKE BLASCHKE ISOPARAMETRIC SUBMANIFOLDS IN THE LIGHT-CONE OF CONSTANT SCALAR CURVATURE

Let E_(s)^(m+p+1) ?R_(s+1)^(m+p+2)(m≥ 2,p≥ 1,0≤s≤p) be the standard(punched)light-cone in the Lorentzian space R_(s+1)^(m+p+2),and let Y:M^(m)→E_(s)^(m+p+1) be a space-like immersed submanifold of dimension m.Then,in addition to the induced metric g on Mm,there are three other important invariants of Y:the Blaschke tensor A,the conic second fundamental form B,and the conic Mobius form C;these are naturally defined by Y and are all invariant under the group of rigid motions on E_(s)^(m+p+1).In particular,g,A,B,C form a complete invariant system for Y,as was originally shown by C.P.Wang for the case in which s=0.The submanifold Y is said to be Blaschke isoparametric if its conic Mobius form C vanishes identically and all of its Blaschke eigenvalues are constant.In this paper,we study the space-like Blaschke isoparametric submanifolds of a general codimension in the light-cone E_(s)^(m+p+1) for the extremal case in which s=p.We obtain a complete classification theorem for all the m-dimensional space-like Blaschke isoparametric submanifolds in Epm+p+1of constant scalar curvature,and of two distinct Blaschke eigenvalues.

Vanishing Theorems for p-Harmonic Forms on Submanifolds in Spheres

In this paper,we present some vanishing theorems for p-harmonic forms on-super stable complete submanifold M immersed in sphere Sn+m.When 2≤1≤n-2,M has a flat normal bundle.Assuming that M is a minimal submanifold andδ>1(n-1)p2/4n[p-1+(p-1)2kp],we prove a vanishing theorem for p-harmonicℓ-forms.

Look at Neutrino Oscillations in Space-Like Continuum

Based on the special theory of relativity in space-like continuum, the pre-sent author points that if there exist tachyons in nature, they should be neutral point-like particles with lepton appearance, which are very much like our early understanding about neutrinos before. The author also points that an alternative explanation for neutrino oscillations may be the conversion between mass-less neutrinos with different flavors expressed in different “lowest limited momentum” during their flight journey, which originates from that the argument in the squared sine function of the probability of neutrino oscillation may be less than zero, which is mathematical foresight and may not be ignored.

Inequalities for Scalar Curvature and Shape Operator of an R-Lightlike Submanifold in Semi-Riemannian Manifold

We establish the links between the lightlike geometry and basics invariants of the associated semi-Riemannian geometry on r-lightlike submanifold and semi-Riemannian constructed from a semi-Riemannian ambient. Then we establish some basic inequalities, involving the scalar curvature and shape operator on r-lightlike coisotropic submanifold in semi-Riemannian manifold. Equality cases are also discussed.

GLOBAL RIGIDITY THEOREMS FOR SUBMANIFOLDS WITH PARALLEL MEAN CURVATURE

In this paper,we mainly study the global rigidity theorem of Riemannian submanifolds in space forms.Let Mn(n≥3)be a complete minimal submanifold in the unit sphere Sn+p(1).Forλ∈[0,n2−1/p),there is an explicit positive constant C(n,p,λ),depending only on n,p,λ,such that,if∫MSn/2dM<∞,∫M(S−λ)n/2+dM<C(n,p,λ),then Mn is a totally geodetic sphere,where S denotes the square of the second fundamental form of the submanifold and∫+=max{0,f}.Similar conclusions can be obtained for a complete submanifold with parallel mean curvature in the Euclidean space Rn+p.

关于常曲率空间中子流形p-调和l-形式的一个消灭定理

令Mn(n≥3)是常曲率空间N^(n+m)(c)中的、具有平坦法丛的完备非紧致的浸入子流形.假设M^(n)(n≥3)满足四个不同的具体几何条件之一时,该文利用Bochner-Weitzenbock公式和Sobolev不等式,通过Duzaar-Fuchs截断函数方法,证明了M^(n)上不存在非平凡的L^(β)p-调和l-形式,其中β≥p≥2.

PVS-CNN:子流稀疏卷积优化的Point-Voxel CNN

针对经典的三维卷积网络在模型较大的场景上分割和检测的效率低和内存占用大的问题,提出PVS-CNN网络框架,通过更新哈希表和特征稀疏矩阵的方式实现了效率高且占用低的三维卷积,引用子流稀疏卷积改进PV-Conv。将PVS-CNN在ShapeNet和S3DIS数据集上进行评估,实验结果表明,所提出的PVS-CNN比PVCNN快3.6倍,GPU内存占用仅为PVCNN的0.55倍。在目标检测上,与F-PVCNN相比,PVS-CNN在时间效率和检测精度上全面优于F-PVCNN。

Some remarks on pseudo-umbilical totally real submanifolds in a complex projective space

This paper studies the relationship between the pseudo-umbilical totally real submanifolds and the minimal totally real submanifolds in a complex projective space. Two theo- rems which claim that some types of pseudo-umbilical totally real submanifolds must be minimal submanifolds are proved.

A new characterization of Willmore submanifolds

Let M^n be a compact Willmore submanifold in the unit sphere Sn＋p. In this note, we investigate the first eigenvalue of the SchrSdinger operator L = -△ - q on M, where q is some potential function on M, and present a gap estimate for the first eigenvalue of L.

RIGIDITY OF COMPACT MINIMAL SUBMANIFOLDS IN A LOCALLY SYMMETRIC AND CONFORMALLY FLAT RIEMANN MANIFOLD

The compact minimal submanifold in a locally symetric and conformally flat Riemann manifold is discussed in this paper.We get the Pinching constant for scalar curvature.The result of Li[2]is generallied,but the method is completely different. Meanwhile,we get better conclusion than that of [3].We also research the Pinching problem for sectional curvature on compact minimal submanifolds in a unit sphere, partially improving the results of S.T.Yan[4].

Minimal Submanifolds in Locally Symmetric Spaces

In this paper, we discuss the compact minimal submanifolds in locally symmetric Riemannian manifolds. Two Pinching theorems are obtained and two corresponding results of Chern, S. S. and Yau S. T. are generalized.

ON THE CHERN CONNECTION OF FINSLER SUBMANIFOLDS

This paper studies the induced Chern connection of submanifolds in a Finsler manifold and gets the relations between the induced Chern connection and the Chern connection of the induced Finsler metric. Then the authors point out a difference between Finsler submanifolds and Riemann submanifolds.

GEOMETRIC INEQUALITIES FOR CERTAIN SUBMANIFOLDS IN A PINCHED RIEMANNIAN MANIFOLD

This article gives some geometric inequalities for a submanifold with parallel second fundamental form in a pinched Riemannian manifold and the distribution for the square norm of its second fundamental form.

An optimal rigidity theorem for complete submanifolds in a sphere

It is proved that if M^n is an n-dimensional complete submanifold with parallel mean curvature vector and flat normal bundle in S^n＋p（1）, and if supM S 〈 α（n, H）, where α（n,H）=n＋n^3/2（n-1）H^2-n（n-2）/n（n-1）√n^2H^4＋4（n-1）H^2,then M^n must be the totally urnbilical sphere S^n（1/√1＋H^2）.An example to show that the pinching constant α（n, H） appears optimal is given.

NATURAL FROBENIUS SUBMANIFOLDS

I.A.B. Strachan introduced the notion of a natural Frobenius submanifold of a Frobenius manifold and gave a sufficient but not necessary condition for a submanifold to be a natural Frobenius submanifold. This article will give a necessary and sufficient condition and classify the natural Frobenius hypersurfaces.

SPACELIKE SUBMANIFOLDS IN THE DE SITTER SPACE S_p^(n+p)(c) WITH CONSTANT SCALAR CURVATURE

Let Mn be a closed spacelike submanifold isometrically immersed in de Sitter space S^n+p _p(c).Denote by R,H and S the normalized scalar curvature,the mean curvature and the square of the length of the second fundamental form of Mn,respectively.Suppose R is constant and R≤c. The pinching problem on S is studied and a rigidity theorem for Mn immersed in ~S^n+p _p(c) with parallel normalized mean curvature vector field is proved.When n≥3, the pinching constant is the best.Thus,the mistake of the paper “Space-like hypersurfaces in de Sitter space with constant scalar curvature”(see Manus Math,1998,95:499-505) is corrected.Moreover,the reduction of the codimension when Mn is a complete submanifold in S^n+p _p(c) with parallel normalized mean curvature vector field is investigated.
