By transmitting a sum beam and a difference beam in two orthogonal polarimetric channels, a synthesized transmitted beam with spatially varying polarization is produced, such that the polarization of the transmitted radar wave varies in azimuth or elevation. Thus, the phases of the signals received on the two antennas of a cross-eye jammer become unequal, and an additional phase difference is introduced to disrupt the 180? phase shifting in the retrodirective loop of the jammer. By means of beam scanning in a small angular range, the optimal beam steering configuration can be found to maximize the phase error for the mitigation of cross-eye jamming. As a result, the jamming performance of the cross-eye jammer degrades largely. Theoretical analysis and simulation results indicate that the proposed method is valid and feasible.展开更多

The analytical formula for the cross-spectral density matrix elements of this beam in the spherical coordinate system is derived. Within the framework of the first-order Born approximation, the effects of the scattering angle θ, the source parameters (i.e., the pulse duration T0 and the temporal coherence length Tcxx), and the scatterer parameter (i.e., the effective width of the medium σR) on the spectral density, the spectral shift, the spectral degree of polarization, and the degree of spectral coherence of the scattered source in the far-zero field are studied numerically and comparatively. Our work improves the scattering theory of stochastic electromagnetic beams and it may be useful for the applications involving the interaction between incident light waves and scattering media.展开更多

A grating is projected onto the object to be measured through a 4f optical system with a spatial filter. After reflected by the object, the grating projection is imaged on a detection grating through another 4f optical system to form moiré fringes, The polarization modulated moiré signal is detected to obtain the position information of the object. In the position sensor, the moiré signal varies sinusoidally with the position of object. The measurement is independent of the incident intensity on the projection grating and the reflectivity of the object to be measured, In experiments, the effectiveness of the position sensor is proved, and the root mean square (RMS) error at each measurement position is less than 13 nm.展开更多
