A New Species of the Genus Tylototriton (Urodela: Salamandridae) from Northeastern Hunan Province, China 被引量:5

We describe a new species from the family Salamandridae from northeastern Hunan Province of China based on morphological and molecular genetic evidences.The new species,Tylototriton liuyangensis,is a member of the T.asperrimus group,and shares a number of similarities with T.wenxianensis and T.broadoridgus.The dorsal surface of the new Tylototriton species is completely black,with nodule-like warts distributed evenly along the lateral margin of dorsal body,and there is no transverse striae between the warts.There are several diagnostic characters of the new species that differ from those of T.wenxianensis and T.broadoridgus as follows:(1)the interorbital space(IOS)is comparatively wide;(2)there is a bony ridge present on the dorsal head surface,running along the upper eyelids;(3)the space between axilla and groin(AGS)is comparatively large,with the mean male AGS approximately equal to 50%of the snout-vent length(SVL)and the mean female AGS being 53%of SVL;and(4)there is a small genital armature on the anterior angle of labial folds present inside the anal fissure of adult males during the breeding season.The result from the molecular phylogenetic analysis of the genus Tylototriton(including the type specimen of the new species)based on the complete DNA sequence of the mitochondrial ND2 gene(1035 bp)indicated that the new species was similar to T.wenxianensis,T.dabienicus,and T.broadoridgus,but formed an independent clade.This result was consistent with the morphological analysis above,supporting that the Liuyang Population represented a distinct species. 展开更多

This study aimed to analyze the partial sequence of COI gene in Pengze crucian carp,gold crucian carp,Ukraine carp and common carp,with silver carp and tilapia fish as two outgroups.DNA fragments 814 bp in length were amplified and analyzed.Statistical analysis of sequence compositions and analysis of intraspecific and interspecific genetic distances were performed by using Mega4.1 software.The phylogenetic tree of COI gene was constructed with neighbor-joining method.According to the results,15 fish individuals could be divided into five groups,which was consistent with the results of traditional taxonomy.Furthermore,the partial sequence of COI gene was a good DNA barcode to identify different species and exhibited certain applicability in the analysis of interspecific phylogenetic relationships of Cyprinidae species. 展开更多

The genus Neotrionymus Borchsenius comprises five species in China, N. cynodontis, N. guandunensis, N. monstatus, N. yunnanensis and N. chinensis sp. nov., which collected from Beijing, Shanxi and Shandong under the leaf sheath of species of Poaceae. This new species is similar to N. kerzhneri Danzig, but can be distinguished by with a large, quadrate(longer than width) or sometimes hour-glass shaped circulus, presence of tubular ducts in median area of thorax on dorsum and venter, presence of translucent pores on apical part of hind tibia and the distribution of trilocular pores not only in cerarii, but also on lips of ostioles and near spiracles. The order Asterinales comprises a single family,Asterinaceae.In this study,types or specimens of 41 genera of Asterinaceae are re-examined and re-described and illustrated by micrographs.Seventeen genera,namely Asterina(type genus),Asterinella,Asterotexis,Batistinula,Cirsosia,Echidnodella,Halbania,Lembosia,Meliolaster,Parasterinopsis,Platypeltella,Prillieuxina,Schenckiella(=Allothyrium),Trichasterina,Trichopeltospora,Uleothyrium and Vizellopsis,are maintained within Asterinaceae.Echidnodes,Lembosiella,Lembosina,Morenoina,and Thyriopsi s are transferred to Aulographaceae based on morphological and molecular characteristics.Anariste is transferred to Micropeltidaceae,while Lembosiopsis is transferred to Mycosphaerellaceae.Placoasterella and Placosoma are morphologically close to taxa in Parmulariaceae,where they are transferred.Aulographina is placed in Teratosphaeriaceae,while Asterodothis,Asterinema,Dothidasteromella,Leveillella,Petrakina and Stephanotheca are transferred to Dothideomycetes,genera incertae sedis.Eupelte,Macowaniella,Maheshwaramyces,Parasterinella,and Vishnumyces are treated as doubtful genera,because of lack of morphological and molecular data.Aphanopeltis,Asterolibertia,Neostomella,Placoasterina,and Symphaster are synonyms of Asterina based on morphology,while Trichamelia,Viegasia,and Yamamotoa are synonyms of Lembosia.The characteristics of each family are discussed and a phylogenetic tree is included. 展开更多
