The effect Of Y2O3 as additive to the positive electrode on the high-temperature performances of the Ni-MH batteries was studied. The specific capacities of the positive electrode in Ni-MH battery at higher temperatures are much lower than usual. In order to improve high-temperature performances, charge/discharge curves of the Ni(OH)(2) electrodes with different amounts Of Y2O3 it different temperatures were studied. It is found that the specific capacities of the spherical Ni (OH)(2) with Y2O3 as additive are much higher than those of the regular at higher temperatures. The specific capacity of Ni (OH)(2) containing 1% Y2O3 at 0.2C C/D rate is 35% higher than that of the regular. The specific capacity of Ni (OH)(2) containing 0.2% Y2O3 at 1C C/D rate is 15% higher than that of the regular. Mechanism Of Y2O3 improving high temperature performances of Ni(OH)(2) electrode was also discussed in detail. 展开更多

Spherical Bi2O3 powder prepared by plasma chemical vapor reaction and aqueous chemical precipitation is studied. The superfine spherical Bi2O3 powder with an average diameter of 1 μm is made by plasma process. During the precipitation process, the micrograph of the Bi2O3 powder can be controlled through the reaction temperature, the rate of addition of the precipitation reagent, the reaction time and the amount of the dispersant. Accordingly, spherical Bi2O3 powder with diameters ranging from 2μm to 3μm is prepared. The spherical Bi2O3 particles have such advantages as uniform size distribution and excellent dispersing property. ZnO varistors made from the resultant powder exhibit properties of a low discharge voltage ratio, great eligibility coefficient measured by a rectangle wave of 2 ins 800 A and good stability in the above characteristics. 展开更多

Effect of Lu_2O_3 on Charge/discharge Performances of Spherical Nickel Hydroxide at High Temperature

Nickel-metal hydride (Ni/MH) batteries are one of promising batteries for electric vehicle applications, but at high temperature the charge efficiency of nickel electrode is very low. In order to improve the high-temperature-efficiency of nickel electrode, spherical nickel hydroxide mixed with various ratios of Lu2O3 was used as active material of pasted nickel electrodes. The results of charge/discharge experiments, cyclic voltammetric measurements and XRD characterizations have shown that after addition of Lu2O3, the oxygen evolution overpotcntial is elevated much, the charge efficiency of nickel electrode at high temperature is greatly improved and the content of β-NiOOH phase increases in charged electrodes. In addition, the mixed ratio of Lu2O3 has different effects on high temperature performances of nickel electrode at different charge/discharge currents, 3.5 % is the optimum mixed ratio, and the action of Lu2O3 on high temperature electrochemical behaviors is more apparent when nickel electrodes are charged at small current than large current. 展开更多

采用等体积浸渍法制备了Co-Mo/γ-Al2O3非贵金属耐硫脱氧催化剂,在实验室微反装置上进行了脱氧活性考评,利用程序升温脱附法(TPD)对该脱氧剂H2、O2的脱附行为进行了研究;同时,利用程序升温还原法(TPR)对新鲜样及中试失活样进行了研究。... 采用等体积浸渍法制备了Co-Mo/γ-Al2O3非贵金属耐硫脱氧催化剂,在实验室微反装置上进行了脱氧活性考评,利用程序升温脱附法(TPD)对该脱氧剂H2、O2的脱附行为进行了研究;同时,利用程序升温还原法(TPR)对新鲜样及中试失活样进行了研究。结果表明,在该催化剂上H2存在两个脱附峰,对应有两种吸附活化位;O2有四个脱附峰,对应有四种吸附活化位,水汽吸附会优先占据弱吸附活性位,从而抑制了其对H2和O2的活化吸附量。催化剂有三种耗氢还原峰,峰面积呈肥胖型,且在各个温度下都有还原,活性组份Co-Mo与Al2O3之间协同作用,直接影响着催化剂脱氧活性,新鲜样中的活性物种与载体间的作用要比失活样的强。研究结果对Co-Mo/γ-Al2O3非贵金属耐硫脱氧催化剂的使用、失活和再生有重要的意义。 展开更多

An alumina support was modified by fluorine via impregnation to investigate the effect of fluoride content on the reactivity of Ni–Mo/Al2O3 catalyst.The catalyst was characterized by X-ray diffraction,N2 adsorption–desorption(Brunauer–Emmett–Teller)isotherms,temperature-programmed desorption of ammonia,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy.Sulfur etherification performance of the catalyst was studied using a fixed-bed reactor.The results show that increasing fluoride content increases the pore volume and pore size but reduces the specific surface area.In addition,the degree of sulfidation of Ni first increases and then decreases.The amounts of strong acid and total acid also increase with increasing fluoride content.Performance evaluation of the catalyst reveals that the fluoride content has a minor effect on the thioetherification performance of the catalyst;however,an optimum fluoride content,which was determined to be 0.2%,can ensure lower olefin saturation and an efficient diene selective hydrogenation. 展开更多

Controllable Preparation and Superior Rate Performance of Spinel LiMn2O4 Hollow Microspheresas Cathode Material for Lithium-ion Batteries 被引量:1

Spinel LiMn2O4 microspheres and hollow microspheres with adjustable wall thickness have been prepared using controllable oxidation of MnCO3 microspheres precursors and following solid reactions with lithium salts. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) investigations demonstrate that the microsphere morphology and hollow structure of precursors are inherited. The effect of hollow structure properties of as-prepared LiMn2O4 on their performance as cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries has been studied. Electrochemical performance tests show that LiMn2O4 hollow microspheres with small wall thickness exhibit both superior rate capability and better cycle performance than LiMn2O4 solid microspheres and LiMn2O4 hollow microspheres with thick wall. The LiMn2O4 hollow microspheres with thin wall have discharge capacity of 132.7 mA.h-g^-1 at C/10 (14.8 mA.g^-1) in the first cycle, 94.1% capacity retention at C/10 after 40 cycles and discharge capacity of 116.5 mAh-gq at a high rate of 5C. The apparent lithium-ion diffusion coefficient (Dapp) of as-prepared LiMn2O4 determined by capacity intermittent titration technique (CITT) varies from 10-11 to 10-8.5 cm2.s^-1 showing a regular "W" shape curve plotted with test voltages. The D app of LiMn2O4 hollow microspheres with thin wall has the largest value among all the prepared samples. Both the superior rate capability and cycle stability of LiMn2O4 hollow microspheres with thin wall can be ascribed to the facile ion diffusion in the hollow structures and the robust of hollow structures during repeated cycling. 展开更多

The structure, morphology, and chromaticity of the synthesized pigments were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, FTIR, XPS, and colorimetry. The results indicated that the as-prepared pigments have the characteristics of narrow particle size distribution, high dispersion,and good sphericity. The α-Fe_2 O_3@SiO_2 reddish pigments were uniform and well dispersed in solution.
