Understanding the causes of performance decay in traditional carbons is crucial to design a high-performance material. Based on this, here, nitrogen-doped activated carbon(NAC) was prepared by pyrolyzing the blend of activated carbon powder(ACP) and melamine for the positive electrode of asymmetric CDI. By comparing the indicators changes such as conductivity, salt adsorption capacity, pH, and charge efficiency of the symmetrical ACP-ACP device to the asymmetric ACP-NAC device under different CDI cycles, as well as the changes of the electrochemical properties of anode and cathode materials after long-term operation, the reasons for the decline of the stability of the CDI performance were revealed. It was found that the carboxyl functional groups generated by the electro-oxidation of anode carbon materials make the anode zero-charge potential(E_(pzc)) shift positively, which results in the uneven distribution of potential windows of CDI units and affects the adsorption capacity. Furthermore, by understanding the electron density on C atoms surrounding the N atoms, we attribute the increased cyclic stability to the enhanced negativity of the charge of carbon atoms adjacent to quaternary-N and pyridinic-oxide-N.展开更多

In the present work, the instantaneous stability of a finite Stokes layer with layer interactions is studied via a linear stability analysis of the frozen phases of the base flow. The oscillations of two plates can have different velocity amplitudes, initial phases, and frequencies. The effects of the Stokes-layer interactions on the stability when two plates oscillate synchronously are analyzed. The growth rates of two most unstable modes when δ < 0.12 are almost equal, and δ = δ*/h*, where δ*and h*are the Stokes-layer thickness and the half height of the channel, respectively. However, their vorticities are different. The vorticity of the most unstable mode is symmetric, while the other is asymmetric. The Stokes-layer interactions have a destabilizing effect on the most unstable mode when δ < 0.68, and have a stabilizing effect when δ > 0.68. However, the interactions always have a stabilizing effect on the other unstable mode. It is explained that one of the two unstable modes has much higher dissipation than the other one when the Stokes-layer interactions are strong. We also find that the stability of the Stokes layer is closely related to the inflectional points of the base-flow velocity profile. The effects of inconsistent velocity-amplitude, initial phase, and frequency of the oscillations on the stability are analyzed. The energy of the most unstable eigenvector is mainly distributed near the plate of higher velocity amplitude or higher oscillation frequency. The effects of the initial phase difference are complicated because the base-flow velocity is extremely sensitive to the initial phase.展开更多

文摘AlMoON based solar selective absorption coatings were deposited on stainless steel substrate by magnetron sputtering. The coatings included infrared reflection layer Mo,absorption layer AlMoN,absorption layer AlMoON and antireflection layer AlMoO from bottom to top.The surface of the deposited coatings is flat without obvious defects. The absorptivity and emissivity are 0.896 and 0.09,respectively,and the quality factor is 9.96.After heat treatment at 500℃-36 h,the surface roughness of the coating increases,a small number of cracks and other defects appear, and the broken part is still attached to the coating surface.A certain degree of element diffusion occurs in the coatings, resulting in the decline of the optical properties of the coatings. The absorptivity and emissivity are 0.883 and 0.131,respectively,the quality factor is 7.06,and the PC value is 0.0335.The coatings do not fail under this condition and have certain thermal stability.
文摘Electrode materials with high desalination capacity and long-term cyclic stability are the focus of capacitive deionization(CDI) community. Furthermore, by understanding the electron density on C atoms surrounding the N atoms, we attribute the increased cyclic stability to the enhanced negativity of the charge of carbon atoms adjacent to quaternary-N and pyridinic-oxide-N.

文摘This paper is devoted to understanding the stability of perturbations around the hydrostatic equilibrium of the Boussinesq system in order to gain insight into certain atmospheric and oceanographic phenomena. The Boussinesq system focused on here is anisotropic, and involves only horizontal dissipation and thermal damping. In the 2D case R^(2),due to the lack of vertical dissipation, the stability and large-time behavior problems have remained open in a Sobolev setting. For the spatial domain T×R,this paper solves the stability problem and gives the precise large-time behavior of the perturbation.By decomposing the velocity u and temperatureθinto the horizontal average(ū,θ)and the corresponding oscillation(ū,θ),we can derive the global stability in H~2 and the exponential decay of(ū,θ)to zero in H^(1).Moreover,we also obtain that(ū_(2),θ)decays exponentially to zero in H^(1),and thatū_(1)decays exponentially toū_(1)(∞)in H^(1)as well;this reflects a strongly stratified phenomenon of buoyancy-driven fluids. In addition,we establish the global stability in H^(3)for the 3D case R^(3).
文摘With the increasing spotlight in electric vehicles, there is a growing demand for high-energy-density batteries to enhance driving range.Consequently, several studies have been conducted on high-energy-density LiNi_(x)Co_(y)Mn_(z)O_(2)cathodes.However,there is a limit to permanent performance deterioration because of side reactions caused by moisture in the atmosphere and continuous microcracks during cycling as the Ni content to express high energy increases and the content of Mn and Co that maintain structural and electrochemical stabilization decreases. The direct modification of the surface and bulk regions aims to enhance the capacity and long-term performance of high-Ni cathode materials. Therefore,an efficient modification requires a study based on a thorough understanding of the degradation mechanisms in the surface and bulk region. In this review,a comprehensive analysis of various modifications, including doping, coating, concentration gradient, and single crystals,is conducted to solve degradation issues along with an analysis of the overall degradation mechanism occurring in high-Ni cathode materials. It also summarizes recent research developments related to the following modifications, aims to provide notable points and directions for post-studies,and provides valuable references for the commercialization of stable high-energy-density cathode materials.

文摘Enhancing the stability of supported noble metal catalysts emerges is a major challenge in both science and industry.Herein,a heterogeneous Pd catalyst(Pd/NCF)was prepared by supporting Pd ultrafine metal nanoparticles(NPs)on nitrogen-doped carbon;synthesized by using F127 as a stabilizer,as well as chitosan as a carbon and nitrogen source. The Pd/NCF catalyst was efficient and recyclable for oxidative carbonylation of phenol to diphenyl carbonate, exhibiting higher stability than Pd/NC prepared without F127 addition. The hydrogen bond between chitosan(CTS)and F127 was enhanced by F127,which anchored the N in the free amino group, increasing the N content of the carbon material and ensuring that the support could provide sufficient N sites for the deposition of Pd NPs.This process helped to improve metal dispersion. The increased metal-support interaction, which limits the leaching and coarsening of Pd NPs,improves the stability of the Pd/NCF catalyst.Furthermore, density functional theory calculations indicated that pyridine N stabilized the Pd^(2+)species,significantly inhibiting the loss of Pd^(2+)in Pd/NCF during the reaction process. This work provides a promising avenue towards enhancing the stability of nitrogen-doped carbon-supported metal catalysts.

文摘To study the stratified stability of a water column in the North Passage of the Yangtze River Estuary,a numerical model of the hydrodynamics of this estuary is established using the EFDC model. On the basis of EFDC results, this paper derives and pro-vides the discriminative index of water body stability caused by salinity and analyzes the along-range variation in water body strati-fication stability in the North Passage of the Yangtze River Estuary and the periodic variation at a key location(bend area)based on the simulation results of the numerical model. This work shows that the water body in the bend area varies between mixed and strati-fied types, and the vertical average flow velocity has a good negative correlation with the differential velocity between the surface and bottom layers of the water body. The model simulation results validate the formulae for the stratified stability discriminant during spring tides.

文摘This paper is devoted to studying the stability of transonic shock solutions to the Euler-Poisson system in a one-dimensional nozzle of finite length. The background charge in the Poisson equation is a piecewise constant function. The structural stability of the steady transonic shock solution is obtained by the monotonicity argument.Furthermore, this transonic shock is proved to be dynamically and exponentially stable with respect to small perturbations of the initial data. One of the crucial ingredients of the analysis is to establish the global well-posedness of a free boundary problem for a quasilinear second order equation with nonlinear boundary conditions.

文摘Perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have emerged as a promising photovoltaic technology because of their high light absorption coefficient, long carrier diffusion distance, and tunable bandgap. However,PSCs face challenges such as hysteresis effects and stability issues. In this study,we introduced a novel approach to improve film crystallization by leveraging 4-tert-butylpyridine(TBP)molecules,thereby enhancing the performance and stability of PSCs.Our findings demonstrate the effective removal of PbI_(2)from the perovskite surface through strong coordination with TBP molecules.Additionally,by carefully adjusting the concentration of the TBP solution,we achieved enhanced film crystallinity without disrupting the perovskite structure. The TBP-treated perovskite films exhibit a low defect density, improved crystallinity, and improved carrier lifetime. As a result, the PSCs manufactured with TBP treatment achieve power conversion efficiency(PCE)exceeding 24%.Moreover,we obtained the PCE of 21.39%for the 12.25 cm^(2)module.

文摘The Pacific oyster Crassostrea gigas, one of the most exploited molluscs in the world, has suffered from massive mortality in recent decades, and the occurrence mechanisms have not been well characterized. In this study,to reveal the relationship of associated microbiota to the fitness of oysters, temporal dynamics of microbiota in the gill, hemolymph, and hepatopancreas of C.gigas during April 2018-January 2019 were investigated by 16 S rRNA gene sequencing. The microbiota in C.gigas exhibited tissue heterogeneity,of which Spirochaetaceae was dominant in the gill and hemolymph while Mycoplasmataceae enriched in the hepatopancreas.Co-occurrence network demonstrated that the gill microbiota exhibited higher inter-taxon connectivity while the hemolymph microbiota had more modules. The richness(Chao 1 index)and diversity(Shannon index)of microbial community in each tissue showed no significant seasonal variations, except for the hepatopancreas having a higher richness in the autumn.Similarly, beta diversity analysis indicated a relatively stable microbiota in each tissue during the sampling period, showing relative abundance of the dominant taxa exhibiting temporal dynamics. Results indicate that the microbial community in C.gigas showed a tissue-specific stability with temporal dynamics in the composition, which might be essential for the tissue functioning and environmental adaption in oysters. This work provides a baseline microbiota in C.gigas and is helpful for the understanding of host-microbiota interaction in oysters.

文摘This paper is concerned with the global well-posedness of the solution to the compressible Navier-Stokes/Allen-Cahn system and its sharp interface limit in one-dimensional space. For the perturbations with small energy but possibly large oscillations of rarefaction wave solutions near phase separation, and where the strength of the initial phase field could be arbitrarily large,we prove that the solution of the Cauchy problem exists for all time, and converges to the centered rarefaction wave solution of the corresponding standard two-phase Euler equation as the viscosity and the thickness of the interface tend to zero. The proof is mainly based on a scaling argument and a basic energy method.

文摘The nonlinear stability of plane parallel shear flows with respect to tilted perturbations is studied by energy methods.Tilted perturbation refers to the fact that perturbations form an angleθ∈(0,π/2)with the direction of the basic flows.By defining an energy functional,it is proven that plane parallel shear flows are unconditionally nonlinearly exponentially stable for tilted streamwise perturbation when the Reynolds number is below a certain critical value and the boundary conditions are either rigid or stress-free.In the case of stress-free boundaries,by taking advantage of the poloidal-toroidal decomposition of a solenoidal field to define energy functionals,it can be even shown that plane parallel shear flows are unconditionally nonlinearly exponentially stable for all Reynolds numbers, where the tilted perturbation can be either spanwise or streamwise.

文摘Organic photovoltaics(OPVs)need to overcome limitations such as insufficient thermal stability to be commercialized. The reported approaches to improve stability either rely on the development of new materials or on tailoring the donor/acceptor morphology, however, exhibiting limited applicability. Therefore,it is timely to develop an easy method to enhance thermal stability without having to develop new donor/acceptor materials or donor–acceptor compatibilizers,or by introducing another third component.Herein,a unique approach is presented, based on constructing a polymer fiber rigid network with a high glass transition temperature(T_(g))to impede the movement of acceptor and donor molecules,to immobilize the active layer morphology, and thereby to improve thermal stability.A high-T_(g) one-dimensional aramid nanofiber(ANF)is utilized for network construction.Inverted OPVs with ANF network yield superior thermal stability compared to the ANF-free counterpart. The ANF network-incorporated active layer demonstrates significantly more stable morphology than the ANF-free counterpart, thereby leaving fundamental processes such as charge separation, transport, and collection, determining the device efficiency, largely unaltered. This strategy is also successfully applied to other photovoltaic systems. The strategy of incorporating a polymer fiber rigid network with high T_(g) offers a distinct perspective addressing the challenge of thermal instability with simplicity and universality.

文摘The recognition on the trend of wind energy stability is still extremely rare, although it is closely related to acquisition efficiency, grid connection, equipment lifetime, and costs of wind energy utilization.Using the 40-year(1979–2018)ERA-Interim data from the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, this study presented the spatial-temporal distribution and climatic trend of the stability of global offshore wind energy as well as the abrupt phenomenon of wind energy stability in key regions over the past 40 years with the climatic analysis method and Mann-Kendall(M-K)test.The results show the following 5 points.(1)According to the coefficient of variation(C_(v))of the wind power density, there are six permanent stable zones of global offshore wind energy:the southeast and northeast trade wind zones in the Indian,Pacific and Atlantic oceans, the Southern Hemisphere westerly, and a semi-permanent stable zone(North Indian Ocean).(2)There are six lowvalue zones for both seasonal variability index(S_(v))and monthly variability index(M_(v))globally,with a similar spatial distribution as that of the six permanent stable zones.M_(v) and S_(v) in the Arabian Sea are the highest in the world.(3)After C_(v),M_(v) and S_(v) are comprehensively considered, the six permanent stable zones have an obvious advantage in the stability of wind energy over other sea areas, with C_(v) below 0.8,M_(v) within 1.0,and S_(v) within 0.7 all the year round.(4)The global stability of offshore wind energy shows a positive climatic trend for the past four decades.C_(v),M_(v) and S_(v) have not changed significantly or decreased in most of the global ocean during 1979 to2018.That is,wind energy is flat or more stable, while the monthly and seasonal variabilities tend to shrink/smooth,which is beneficial for wind energy utilization.(5)C_(v) in the low-latitude Pacific and M_(v) and S_(v) in both the North Indian Ocean and the low-latitude Pacific have an obvious abrupt phenomenon at the end of the20th century.

文摘The stability analysis of a finite Stokes layer is of practical importance in flow control. The effects of the initial phase difference are complicated because the base-flow velocity is extremely sensitive to the initial phase.
