On the one hand,the P/E ratio measures growth opportunity,bubble level,and investment value of a company.On the other hand,the calculation of P/E is rather simple and convenient,and therefore considerably popular.This...On the one hand,the P/E ratio measures growth opportunity,bubble level,and investment value of a company.On the other hand,the calculation of P/E is rather simple and convenient,and therefore considerably popular.This article selects the monthly data for five years from 2012 to 2017,of all Shanghai A shares to conduct an empirical analysis.Based on the Gordon model,macroeconomic variables,time variable,technical indicators,and other variables are introduced to reflect the actual price-earnings ratio.This article innovatively introduces the OBV energy wave indicator in empirical research to measure the influence of market heat and investor sentiment on the price-earnings ratio.This paper regresses both on the whole data and on the data grouped according to the average earnings per share,and concludes that P/E estimated by Gordon model,company size,and time factor have a considerable degree of explanation for the actual price-earnings ratio,and the innovative introduction of OBV energy wave indicator also shows significant correlation and explanation.展开更多

Using a sample of 16 Czech firms, we attempt to me...This contribution analyzes the impact of new International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) reporting rules on financial ratios prepared in the Czech companies. Using a sample of 16 Czech firms, we attempt to measure the scope and size of the differences in the selected set of financial ratios as calculated with data reported according to the traditional Czech accounting standards (CAS) and under the IFRS provisions. Our study discovers that there are important differences resulting from the two reporting formats. Our research comes to a conclusion that translation of Czech statements to IFRS may cause changes in the values of financial indicators without relationship to the real change in the firms' value, performance, and stability. Even though the findings were not statistically significant, the indicative results of our measurements disclosed an important fact that the transition to IFRS could cause deterioration of key indicators and thereby could impact on the overall rating of companies. One needs to be cautious with generalization due to the small sample size.展开更多
Background Oils are important sources of energy in pig diets.The combination of oils with different degree of saturation contributes to improve the utilization efficiency of the mixed oils and may reduce the cost of o...Background Oils are important sources of energy in pig diets.The combination of oils with different degree of saturation contributes to improve the utilization efficiency of the mixed oils and may reduce the cost of oil supplemented.An experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of oils with different degree of saturation on the fat digestibility and corresponding additivity and bacterial community in growing pigs.Methods Eighteen crossbred(Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire)barrows(initial body weight:29.3±2.8 kg)were surgically fitted with a T-cannula in the distal ileum.The experimental diets included a fat-free basal diet and 5 oil-added diets.The 5 oil-added diets were formulated by adding 6%oil with different ratio of unsaturated to saturated fatty acids(U:S)to the basal diet.The 5 oils were palm oil(U:S=1.2),canola oil(U:S=12.0),and palm oil and canola oil were mixed in different proportions to prepare a combination of U:S of 2.5,3.5 and 4.5,respectively.Results The apparent and standardized ileal digestibility(AID and SID)of fat and fatty acids increased linearly(P<0.05)as the U:S of dietary oils increased except for SID of fat and C18:2.The AID and SID of fat and fatty acids differed among the dietary treatments(P<0.05)except for SID of unsaturated fatty acids(UFA)and C18:2.Fitted one-slope broken-line analyses for the SID of fat,saturated fatty acids(SFA)and UFA indicated that the breakpoint for U:S of oil was 4.14(R^(2)=0.89,P<0.01),2.91(R^(2)=0.98,P<0.01)and 3.84(R^(2)=0.85,P<0.01),respectively.The determined SID of fat,C18:1,C18:2 and UFA in the mixtures was not different from the calculated SID of fat,C18:1,C18:2 and UFA.However,the determined SID of C16:0,C18:0 and SFA in the mixtures were greater than the calculated SID values(P<0.05).The abundance of Romboutsia and Turicibacter in pigs fed diet containing palm oil was greater than that in rapeseed oil treatment group,and the two bacteria were negatively correlated with SID of C16:0,C18:0 and SFA(P<0.05).Conclusions The optimal U:S for improving the utilization efficiency of mixed oil was 4.14.The SID of fat and UFA for palm oil and canola oil were additive in growing pigs,whereas the SID of SFA in the mixture of two oils was greater than the sum of the values of pure oils.Differences in fat digestibility caused by oils differing in degree of saturation has a significant impact on bacterial community in the foregut.展开更多
AIM:To compare the diagnostic performance of isolatedcheck visual evoked potential(ic VEP) and standard automated perimetry(SAP),for evaluating the application values of ic VEP in the detection of early glaucoma....AIM:To compare the diagnostic performance of isolatedcheck visual evoked potential(ic VEP) and standard automated perimetry(SAP),for evaluating the application values of ic VEP in the detection of early glaucoma.METHODS:Totally 144 subjects(288 eyes) were enrolled in this study.ic VEP testing was performed with the Neucodia visual electrophysiological diagnostic system.A 15% positive-contrast(bright) condition pattern was used in this device to differentiate between glaucoma patients and healthy control subjects.Signal-to-noise ratios(SNR) were derived based on a multivariate statistic.The eyes were judged as abnormal if the test yielded an SNR≤1.SAP testing was performed with the Humphrey Field Analyzer II.The visual fields were deemed as abnormality if the glaucoma hemifield test results outside normal limits;or the pattern standard deviation with P〈0.05;or the cluster of three or more non-edge points on the pattern deviation plot in a single hemifield with P〈0.05,one of which must have a P〈0.01.Disc photographs were graded as either glaucomatous optic neuropathy or normal by two experts who were masked to all other patient information.Moorfields regression analysis(MRA) used as a separate diagnostic classification was performed by Heidelberg retina tomograph(HRT).RESULTS:When the disc photograph grader was used as diagnostic standard,the sensitivity for SAP and ic VEP was 32.3% and 38.5% respectively and specificity was 82.3% and 77.8% respectively.When the MRA Classifier was used as the diagnostic standard,the sensitivity for SAP and ic VEP was 48.6% and 51.4% respectively and specificity was 84.1% and 78.0% respectively.When the combined structural assessment was used as the diagnostic standard,the sensitivity for SAP and ic VEP was 59.2%and 53.1% respectively and specificity was 84.2% and 84.6% respectivlely.There was no statistical significance between the sensitivity or specificity of SAP and ic VEP,regardless of which diagnostic standard was based on.CONCLUSION:The diagnostic performance of ic VEP is not better than that of SAP in the detection of early glaucoma.展开更多
The size distribution of the broken top coal blocks is an important factor,affecting the recovery ratio and the efficiency of drawing top coal in longwall top coal caving(LTCC)mining panel.The standard deviation of to...The size distribution of the broken top coal blocks is an important factor,affecting the recovery ratio and the efficiency of drawing top coal in longwall top coal caving(LTCC)mining panel.The standard deviation of top coal block size(dt)is one of the main parameters to reflect the size distribution of top coal.To find the effect of dt on the caving mechanism,this study simulates experiments with 9 different dt by using discrete element software PFC.The dt is divided into two stages:uniform distribution stage(UDS)whose dt is less than 0.1(Schemes 1–5),and nonuniform distribution stage(NDS)whose dt is more than 0.1(Schemes 6–9).This research mainly investigates the variation of recovery ratio,drawing body shape,boundary of top coal,and contact force between particles in the two stages,respectively.The results showed that with the increasing dt,the recovery ratio of the panel increases first and then decreases in UDS.It is the largest in Scheme 3,which mainly increases the drawing volume at the side of starting drawing end.However,the recovery ratio decreases first and then increases quickly in NDS,and it is the largest in Scheme 9,where the drawing volume at the side of finishing drawing end are relatively higher.In UDS,the major size of top coal is basically medium,while in NDS,the size varies from medium to small,and then to large,with a distinct difference in shape and volume of the drawing body.When the major size of top coal is medium and small,the cross-section width of the initial boundary of top coal at each height is relatively small.Conversely,when the top coal size is large,the initial boundary of top coal has a larger opening range,the rotating angle of lower boundary is relatively small in the normal drawing stage,which is conducive to the development of drawing body and reduces the residual top coal,and the maximum particle velocity and the particles movement angle are both larger.This study lays a foundation for the prediction of recovery ratio,and suggests that the uniform top coal is more manageable and has a larger recovery ratio.展开更多

The basic data are compiled from the National Populationand Housing Censuses, Demographic Sample Surveys, Demographic and Health Surveys, and Vital Registration Systems.Analytical approaches: The factors influencing the variations in SRB are identified by reviewing various documents, analysisof variance (ANOVA) techniques, and statistical measures of central tendency and dispersion. Results: The ratios areconsistently higher for advanced countries than the developing countries, with highest for China and India. The ANOVAresults show slight differences among the S0 African countries but show differences among the African regional states,whereas the standard deviation of the SRB among the advanced countries, including some Asian and Latin Americancountries shows non-significant variations. The aim of this article is to present six measures of variation for qualitative variables of simple calculation, as well as to facilitate their use by means of the R software. The measures considered are, on the one hand, Freemans variation ratio, Morals universal variation ratio, Kvalseths standard deviation from the mode, and Wilcoxs variation ratio which are most affected by proximity to a constant random variable, where the measures of variability for qualitative variables reach their minimum value of 0. On the other hand, the Gibbs-Poston index of qualitative variation and Shannons relative entropy are included, which are more affected by the proximity to a uniform distribution, where the measures of variability for qualitative variables reach their maximum value of 1. Point and interval estimation are addressed. Bootstrap by the percentile and bias-corrected and accelerated percentile methods are used to obtain confidence intervals. Two calculation situations are presented: with a sample mode and with two or more modes. The standard deviation from the mode among the six considered measures, and the universal variation ratio among the three variation ratios, are particularly recommended for use.展开更多
