The AF laser allows the laser frequency to change discretely and alternately over time. The suppression of SBS is significant as long as the AF difference is greater than the linear growth rate of SBS or the alternating time of the laser frequency is shorter than the linear growth time of SBS. However, the AF laser proves ineffective in suppressing SRS, which usually has a much higher linear growth rate than SBS. To remedy that, a transverse magnetic field is included to suppress the SRS instability. The electrons trapped in the electron plasma waves(EPWs) of SRS can be accelerated by the surfatron mechanism in a transverse magnetic field and eventually detrapped. While continuously extracting energy from EPWs, the EPWs are dissipated and the kinetic inflation of SRS is suppressed. The one-dimensional particle-in-cell simulation results show that both SBS and SRS can be effectively suppressed by combining the AF laser with a transverse magnetic field with tens of Tesla. The total reflectivity can be dramatically reduced by more than one order of magnitude. These results provide a potential reference for controlling SBS and SRS under the related parameters of inertial confinement fusion.展开更多

A diffu- sion coefficient of magnetic angular momentum transport is deduced. Rotating stellar models with different mass incorporating the coefficient are computed to give the rotation profiles. The total angular momentum of a solar model with only hydrodynamic instabilities is about 13 times larger than that of the Sun at the age of the Sun, and this model can not reproduce quasi-solid rotation in the radiative region. However, the solar model with magnetic fields not only can reproduce an almost uniform rotation in the radiative region, but also a total angular momentum that is consistent with the helioseismic result at the 3 tr level at the age of the Sun. The rotation of solar-like stars with magnetic fields is almost uniform in the radiative region, but for models of 1.2-1.5 MG, there is an obvious transition region between the convective core and the radiative region, where angular velocity has a sharp radial gradient, which is different from the rotation profile of the Sun and of massive stars with magnetic fields. The change of angular velocity in the transition region increases with increasing age and mass.展开更多

In recent years, it has been shown that such an interplay can generate a number of interesting quantum phenomena in hadronic and quark–gluon matter. In this short review, we first discuss some properties of the magnetic fields in heavy-ion collisions and then give an overview of the magnetic fieldinduced novel quantum effects. In particular, we focus on the magnetic effect on the heavy flavor mesons, the heavyquark transports, and the phenomena closely related to chiral anomaly.展开更多

The mixture of de-ionized water and ethanol was used as the reaction solvent and hydrazine hydrate as reducing agents. The morphology and properties of Ni nanostructures were characterized by X-ray diffractometer(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM). It was found that the magnetic field strength, concentration of Ni ions, reaction time and temperature as well as p H values played key roles on formation, microstructures and magnetic properties of Ni nanowires. The optimal wires have diameter of ~200 nm and length up to ~200 μm. And their coercivity is ~260 Oe, which is much larger than the commercial Ni powders of 31 Oe. This work presents a simple, low-cost, environment-friendly and large-scale production approach to fabricate one-dimensional magnetic materials. The resulting materials may have potential applications in conductive filters, magnetic sensors and catalytic agents.展开更多

The apoptotic cancer cell contracted, became rounder and divorced from adjacent cells; the heterochromatin condensed and coagulated together along the inner side of the nuclear membrane; the endoplasmic reticulums expanded and fused with the cellular membrane; many apoptotic bodies which were packed by the cellular membrane appeared and were devoured by some lymphocytes and plasma. By Lorentz force the magnetic field keeps the moving ions within bounds of Larmor radius. Thus, penetrating capability of the positive and negative ions through the cell membrane was affected, even the role on the cell membrane formed.展开更多

It is found that both the intrinsic decoherence and the anisotropy of the system give a significant suppression to the entanglement. Moreover it finds that the initial state of the system plays an important role in the time evolution of the entanglement, which means that the entanglement of the system is independent of the nonuniformity and uniformity of the magnetic field when the system is in the initial state |ψ (0)) = |00) and [ψ′ (0)) = m |01) + n |10), respectively.展开更多

The anisotropic magnetism can also cause the free energy to vary in different orientations of crystal in a magnetic field(magnetic anisotropy energy). Magneto-anisotropy can make the crystal rotate by the magnetic force moment on the crystal with the easy axis towards the direction of the magnetic field, and can also promote the preferential growth along a certain crystal direction at the lowest energy state.By solidification, vapor-deposition, heat treatment, slip casting and electrodeposition under magnetic field, the crystal structure with high grain orientation is obtained in a variety of binary eutectics, peritectic alloys, multicomponent alloys and high temperature superconducting materials. This makes it possible to fabricate texture-functional material by using high magnetic field and magneto-crystalline anisotropy of crystal. The purpose of this article is to review some recent progress of the orientation and alignment in material processing under a high magnetic field.展开更多

It is found that the tropism and the alignment of Al6Mn precipitated phases become regular under high magnetic fields. The stronger the high magnetic fields, the more regular the alignment of Al6Mn precipitated phases. Al6Mn precipitated phases can generate oriented alignment and aggregation under high magnetic fields through the observation of the quenched microstructure of the Al-Mn alloy at different temperatures. Meanwhile, the number of Al6Mn phases increases continuously along with the increasing function time of high magnetic fields. X-ray diffraction also indicates that Al6Mn phases generate obvious tropism under high magnetic fields. The process of aggregation and growth of Al6Mn precipitated phases under the function of high magnetic fields after orientation were analyzed and discussed.展开更多

Information on their spatial distribution is obtained by analysis of systematic magnetographic observations of active regions taken at Huairou Solar Observing Station of National Astronomical Observatories of Chinese Academy of Sciences. The main property is that the tracers of the alpha-effect are antisymmetric about the solar equator. Identifying longitudinal migration of active regions with their individual rotation rates and taking into account the internal differential rotation law within the SCZ known from helioseismology, we deduce the distribution of the effect over depth. We have found evidence that the alpha-effect changes its value and sign near the bottom of the SCZ, and this is in accord with the theoretical studies and numerical simulations. We discuss other regularities which can be revealed by further analysis such as possible dependence on longitude, time, and magnetic field strength, etc.展开更多

文摘We used data from 1960.0,1970.0,1980.0,1990.0,and 2000.0 to study the geomagnetic anomaly field over the Chinese mainland by using the three-dimensional Taylor polynomial(3DTP) and the surface spline(SS) models. To obtain the pure anomaly field, the main field and the induced field of the ionospheric and magnetospheric fields were removed from measured data.We also compared the SS model anomalies and the data obtained with Kriging interpolation(KI).The geomagnetic anomaly distribution over the mainland was analyzed based on the SS and 3DTP models by transferring all points from 1960.0-1990.0 to 2000.0.The results suggest that the total intensity F anomalies estimated based on the SS and KI for each year are basically consistent in distribution and intensity. The anomalous distributions in the X-,Y-,and Z-direction and F are mainly negative. The 3DTP model anomalies suggest that the intensity in the X-direction increases from-100 nT to 0 nT with longitude, whereas the intensity in the Y-direction decreases from 400 nT to 20 nT with longitude and over the eastern mainland is almost negative. The intensity in the Z-direction and F are very similar and in most areas it is about-50 nT and higher in western Tibet. The SS model anomalies overall reflect the actual distribution of the magnetic field anomalies;however, because of the uneven distribution of measurements,it yields several big anomalies.Owing to the added altitude term, the 3DTP model offers higher precision and is consistent with KI.

文摘The relativistic heavy-ion collisions create both hot quark–gluon matter and strong magnetic fields, and provide an arena to study the interplay between quantum chromodynamics and quantum electrodynamics. In particular, we focus on the magnetic effect on the heavy flavor mesons, the heavyquark transports, and the phenomena closely related to chiral anomaly.

文摘One-dimensional Ni nanostructures were synthesized via a hydrazine reduction route under external magnetic fields. The resulting materials may have potential applications in conductive filters, magnetic sensors and catalytic agents.

文摘Ultralow frequency (ULF) pulsed-gradient magnetic field (with the maximum intensity of 0.6–2.0 T, gradient of 10–100 T · m-1 , pulse width of 20–200 ms and frequency of 0.16–1.34 Hz) treatment of mice can inhibit murine malignant tumour growth and can induce apoptosis of cancer cell. Thus, penetrating capability of the positive and negative ions through the cell membrane was affected, even the role on the cell membrane formed.

文摘Although 9.4 T magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) has been tested in healthy volunteers, its safety in diabetic patients is unclear.Furthermore, the effects of high static magnetic fields(SMFs),especially gradient vs.uniform fields, have not been investigated in diabetics. Here,we investigated the consequences of exposure to 1.0-9.4 T high SMFs of different gradients(>10 T/m vs.0-10 T/m)on type 1 diabetic(T1D) and type 2 diabetic(T2D) mice.We found that 14 h of prolonged treatment of gradient(as high as 55.5 T/m) high SMFs(1.0-8.6 T) had negative effects on T1D and T2D mice, including spleen, hepatic, and renal tissue impairment and elevated glycosylated serum protein, blood glucose, inflammation, and anxiety, while 9.4 T quasi-uniform SMFs at 0-10 T/m did not induce the same effects. In regular T1D mice(blood glucose>16.7 mmol/L),the>10 T/m gradient high SMFs increased malondialdehyde(P<0.01) and decreased superoxide dismutase(P<0.05).However,in the severe T1D mice(blood glucose≥30.0 mmol/L),the>10 T/m gradient high SMFs significantly increased tissue damage and reduced survival rate.In vitro cellular studies showed that gradient high SMFs increased cellular reactive oxygen species and apoptosis and reduced MS-1 cell number and proliferation. Therefore, this study showed that prolonged exposure to high-field(1.0-8.6 T)>10 T/m gradient SMFs(35-1 380 times higher than that of current clinical MRI)can have negative effects on diabetic mice, especially mice with severe T1D,whereas 9.4 T high SMFs at 0-10T/m did not produce the same effects, providing important information for the future development and clinical application of SMFs,especially high-field MRI.

文摘Taking the intrinsic decoherence effect into account, this paper investigates the entanglement of a two-qubit anisotropic Heisenberg XYZ model in the presence of nonuniform external magnetic fields by employing the concurrence as entanglement measure. It is found that both the intrinsic decoherence and the anisotropy of the system give a significant suppression to the entanglement. Moreover it finds that the initial state of the system plays an important role in the time evolution of the entanglement, which means that the entanglement of the system is independent of the nonuniformity and uniformity of the magnetic field when the system is in the initial state |ψ (0)) = |00) and [ψ′ (0)) = m |01) + n |10), respectively.

文摘The characteristics of lattice structures can make crystal possess distinct anisotropic features, such as the varying magnetism in different crystal orientations and different directions. The purpose of this article is to review some recent progress of the orientation and alignment in material processing under a high magnetic field.

文摘The effect of high magnetic fields on the morphology of Al-Mn phases was investigated. The process of aggregation and growth of Al6Mn precipitated phases under the function of high magnetic fields after orientation were analyzed and discussed.

文摘We summarize studies of helical properties of solar magnetic fields such as current helicity and twist of magnetic fields in solar active regions (ARs), that are observational tracers of the alpha-effect in the solar convective zone (SCZ). We discuss other regularities which can be revealed by further analysis such as possible dependence on longitude, time, and magnetic field strength, etc.

文摘β decay in the strong magnetic field of the crusts of neutron stars is analysed by an improved method. The reactions ^67Ni(β-)^67Cu and ^62Mn(β-)^62Fe are investigated as examples. The results show that a weak magnetic field has little effect on β decay but a strong magnetic field (B 〉 10^12G) increases β decay rates obviously. The conclusion derived may be crucial to the research of late evolution of neutron stars and nucleosynthesis in r-process.
