Premature feeding...Starting the cracking gas compressor and precooling the refrigeration system are keys to start-up of an ethylene plant and accounts for up to 50% of the total start-up time and plant flare emissions. Premature feeding of cracking furnaces can be avoided if the cracking gas compressor is started and the refrigeration system is precooled in advance using mixed gas as the start-up working medium(SWM). Start-up scenario with mixed gas as SWM could significantly reduce the emission loss and shorten the precooling time. Research shows that making appropriate start-up scheme is important not only to ensure operational safety and feasibility, but also to reduce energy consumption. In this paper, a method is proposed to select suitable start-up operational parameters of compression and refrigeration system with sufficient safe operating ranges and short precooling time. The complex interrelation among key parameters of start-up is analyzed. It is found that higher energy consumption, especially for super high-pressure steam(SS), can promote operational safety and shorten the precooling time during start-up.Based on steady-state and dynamic simulation, appropriate operating parameter ranges are determined with reasonable SS consumption. A real case study demonstrates that an appropriate start-up scheme will optimize the operation.展开更多

According to simulation and thermodynamic analysis about the partial working processes of the diesel engine, the amount of heat energy, enough to make the fuel self ignite at the end of compression process at different temperatures of coolant and intake air, was calculated. Several HY20 preheating plugs were used to heat up the intake air. Meanwhile, an electronic control system based on 8 bit micro controller unit (MCS 8031) was designed to automatically control the process of heating intake air. According to the various temperatures of coolant and ambient air, one plug or two plugs can automatically be selected to heat intake air. The demo experiment validated that the total system could operate successfully and achieve the scheduled function.展开更多

The initial starting frequency range is the common range, in which the starting torque should be high enough and the starting current low enough.Some other useful formulas are also derived.These results are significant for electrical drive designers to make the starting schemes. The effects of the increase of the stator and the rotor resistances on the starting torque and the initial starting frequency range are also discussed, which is caused by the skin effects of the high order harmonics present in the PWM inverter output voltage.展开更多
The large current generated by starting directly of super large capacity and high voltage induction motor would have a huge impact on the grid as well as the motor itself.The variation of the power factor and electrom...The large current generated by starting directly of super large capacity and high voltage induction motor would have a huge impact on the grid as well as the motor itself.The variation of the power factor and electromagnetic torque during direct start of motors with different capacity and voltage levels are obtained.Aiming at the problem that the secondary impact of auto-transformer starter is too large and the cost of magnetic control starter is too high,the auto-transformer and magnetic control soft start method of super large capacity and high voltage motor is proposed and the basic working principle is analyzed.The calculation formula of cost for magnetic control soft starter and auto-transformer and magnetic control soft starter is deduced,and specific examples are analyzed and compared.It is concluded that the choice of auto-transformer with appropriate tapping ratio can greatly reduce the cost of auto-transformer and magnetic control soft starter compared with the other one.Finally,the simulation and experiment results show that the start method can effectively avoid secondary current impact and constrain the motor starting current to less than 2.5 times the rated current.展开更多

It also provides a recommendation for certain users who search for the recommendations. The most important open challenge in Collaborative filtering recommender system is the cold start problem. If the adequate or sufficient information is not available for a new item or users, the recommender system runs into the cold start problem. To increase the usefulness of collaborative recommender systems, it could be desirable to eliminate the challenge such as cold start problem. Revealing the community structures is crucial to understand and more important with the increasing popularity of online social networks. The community detection is a key issue in social network analysis in which nodes of the communities are tightly connected each other and loosely connected between other communities. Many algorithms like Givan-Newman algorithm, modularity maximization, leading eigenvector, walk trap, etc., are used to detect the communities in the networks. To test the community division is meaningful we define a quality function called modularity. Modularity is that the links within a community are higher than the expected links in those communities. In this paper, we try to give a solution to the cold-start problem based on community detection algorithm that extracts the community from the social networks and identifies the similar users on that network. The system consists of diesel engine, power coupler, hydraulic pump/motor, etc. The realizable operating modes of power coupling system are analyzed in this paper. Under coordination of clutches, the engine driven mode, hydraulic driven mode, hybrid driven mode, hydraulic engine-start mode and braking energy recovery mode are realizable. Based on Lagrange equation, kinetic analysis and kinematics analyses are presented. In addition, the simulation model of the power coupling system is proposed, which includes diesel engine model, power coupler model, hydraulic pump/motor model, etc. The example simulation analysis is proposed under the hybrid driven mode;the results show that the power coupling system proposed in this paper can realize power coupling of hydraulic hybrid city bus. With the widespread application of power electronic equipment in the power grid,the harmonic problem of the power grid becomes more pronounced,reducing the efficiency of power production,transmission,and utilization,a...With the widespread application of power electronic equipment in the power grid,the harmonic problem of the power grid becomes more pronounced,reducing the efficiency of power production,transmission,and utilization,and interfering with the normal operation of the power grid.Based on the requirements of harmonic suppression and power system protection,a shunt active power filter(SAPF)is proposed as an effective harmonic suppression method.However,there are problems with impulse current and impulse voltage in the starting process of SAPF.Impulse current and impulse voltage cause the power grid and switchgear to bear greater current stress and voltage stress,which seriously affect the security and reliability of the power grid and may damage the switchgear.To effectively solve the problem of impulse current and impulse voltage,the starting process of SAPF is divided into the uncontrolled rectification stage and the transition stage.The mathematical model of the DC side of APF is established.The causes of impulse current and impulse voltage in the uncontrolled rectifier and transition phases are analyzed.By introducing voltage square,a new starting impulse suppression strategy of active power filter based on the slow rising curve is proposed,fundamentally solving the problems of impulse current and impulse voltage.Simulation results verify the effectiveness and feasibility of this method.展开更多

For fixed speed wind turbines, the connection of its squirrel cage induction generator (SCIG) to the grid leads to inrush current which can reach an average of 2 p.u. up to 2.5 p.u. in higher wind speed even by using ...For fixed speed wind turbines, the connection of its squirrel cage induction generator (SCIG) to the grid leads to inrush current which can reach an average of 2 p.u. up to 2.5 p.u. in higher wind speed even by using a soft starter. We propose in this paper a new soft starting of squirrel cage induction generator based wind turbine connected to the grid. Our strategy overcomes such transient instability problems and pinpoints rapidly synchronous speed regardless the wind speed acting on pitch angle. The proposed strategy ensures at least 50% reduction of inrush current and 18% gain of WTG starting time. A state model of the system is given including the wind turbine model and the SCIG model in the synchronous reference frame. Simulation results are analysed and compared to the classic coupling procedure.展开更多

文摘Although the analytical solution of the starting flow of Maxwell fluid in a pipe has been derived for a long time, the effect of relaxation time λ on start-up time ts of this flow is still not well understood. Especially, there exist a series of jumps on the ts-λ. curve. In this paper we introduce a normalized mechanical energy by mode decomposition and mathematical analogy to describe the start-up process. An improved definition of start-up time is presented based on the normalized mechanical energy. It is proved that the ts-λ. curve contains a series of jumps if λ is larger than a critical value. The exact positions of the jumps are determined and the physical reason of the jumps is discussed.
文摘On July 24, 2013, a low-E coated glass project of Xianyang Co., Ltd. of Taiwanglass Group with a daily capacity of 1.2 thousand tons was started to be built, meanwhile a float glass production line was put into production. The float glass line with CNY 1.5 billion of investment was built in July, 2008. Total investment of phase I of the Iow-E coated glass project was CNY one billion. The annual production value of the proiect can reach CNY one billion after completion of the whole project.
文摘Analyzed working principle and starting process of asynchronous motor direct torque control system. In order to solve the problem of serious fluctuation of starting current in traditional control scheme, the author puts forward a new kind of starting method which can limit voltage value to achieve the goal of reducing fluctuation of the current by increasing zero voltage vectors during the stage of starting. The author has also carried on simulation study on the system, and the result of simulation study shows that this method is effectual.
文摘At present,the verification system of wind speed in national 3MS provincial automatic weather station has been automated,but the wind speed verification of the DEM6 portable three-cup anemometer by the straight road wind tunnel cannot be automated.In order to record the reading of this verification,it is necessary to manually move the starting lever at the wind speed field during each verification.For this problem,a set of verification device for the DEM6 portable three-cup anemometer is developed based on automatic verification system of wind speed in the 3MS provincial automatic weather station.This device uses the the driving board of starting anemometer to connect with the pressing starting lever by a bar-shaped gap,so as to realize the remote control of the starting lever.It is convenient to use,and measure multiple sets of data at the same place.The measuring results are more accurate,thereby realizing automatic pressing of wind speed starting lever.
文摘With the rapid development of urbanization,the industrial parks originally located in the suburbs are gradually incorporated into the urban center.Industries that fail to follow the transformation of urban economic development and are forced to close,or enterprises that move out without conforming to the environment,become a gray area within the city.Most of the existing assessments are conducting single assessment of some indicators,but than their actual benefits.Through the field investigation on the starting area of Handan Economic Development Zone,and the evaluation on the nature of land use,development intensity,investment and output,and idle land,inefficient land use in the park is identified.According to different evaluation results,different update and promotion methods are put forward.The research could provide a new evaluation method and idea for subsequent renewal and development of urban industrial parks.
文摘For fixed speed wind turbines, the connection of its squirrel cage induction generator (SCIG) to the grid leads to inrush current which can reach an average of 2 p.u. up to 2.5 p.u. in higher wind speed even by using a soft starter. We propose in this paper a new soft starting of squirrel cage induction generator based wind turbine connected to the grid. Our strategy overcomes such transient instability problems and pinpoints rapidly synchronous speed regardless the wind speed acting on pitch angle. The proposed strategy ensures at least 50% reduction of inrush current and 18% gain of WTG starting time. A state model of the system is given including the wind turbine model and the SCIG model in the synchronous reference frame. Simulation results are analysed and compared to the classic coupling procedure.
