State Feedback Sliding Mode Control without Chattering by Constructing Hurwitz Matrix for AUV Movement

This paper presents a new method to eliminate the chattering of state feedback sliding mode control （SMC） law for the mobile control of an autonomous underwater vehicle （AUV） which is nonlinear and suffers from unknown disturbances system. SMC is a well-known nonlinear system control algorithm for its anti-disturbances capability, while the chattering on switch surface is one stiff question. To dissipate the well-known chattering of SMC, the switching manifold is proposed by presetting a Hurwitz matrix which is deducted from the state feedback matrix. Meanwhile, the best switching surface is achieved by use of eigenvalues of the Hurwitz matrix. The state feedback control parameters are not only applied to control the states of AUV but also connected with coefficients of switching surface. The convergence of the proposed control law is verified by Lyapunov function and the robust character is validated by the Matlab platform of one AUV model.

A scheme for approximate conditional teleportation of entangled two-mode cavity state without Bell state measurement

An alternative scheme to approximately conditionally teleport entangled two-mode cavity state without Bell state measurement in cavity QED is proposed. The scheme is based on the resonant interaction of a ladder-type three-level atom with two bimodal cavities. The entangled cavity state is reconstructed with only one atom interacting with the two cavities successively.

Generation and Properties of Two-Mode Circular States

Two-mode circular states,which are superposition states from some two-mode coherent states,are studiedtheoretically.It is shown that under certain conditions two-mode circular states may exhibit nonclassical effects,suchas sub-Poissonian statistics and intermode correlation.We propose schemes to generate two-mode circular states by theinteraction of a trapped ion with traveling wave lasers.

Quantum Entanglement and Nonlocality Properties of Two-Mode Squeezed Thermal States in a Common-Reservoir Model

We study a system consisting of two identical non-interacting single-mode cavity fields coupled to a common vacuum environment and provide general,explicit,and exact solutions to its master equation by means of the characteristic function method.We analyze the entanglement dynamics of two-mode squeezed thermal state in this model and show that its entanglement dynamics is strongly determined by the two-mode squeezing parameter and the purity.In particular,we find that two-mode squeezed thermal state with the squeezing parameter r ≤-(l/2)ln √u is extremely fragile and almost does not,survive in a common vacuum environment.We investigate the time evolution of nonlocality for two-mode squeezed thermal state in such an environment.It is found that the evolved state loses its nonlocality in the beginning of the evolution,but after a time,the revival of nonlocality can occur.

Teleportation of a Kind of Three-Mode Entangled States of Continuous Variables

A quantum teleportation scheme to teleport a kind of tripartite entangled states of continuous variables by using a quantum channel composed of three bipartite entangled states is proposed. The joint Bell measurement is feasible because the bipartite entangled states are complete and the squeezed state has a natural representation in the entangled state basis. The calculation is greatly simplified by using the Schmidt decomposition of the entangled states.

Realization of minute-long steady-state H-mode discharges on EAST

In the 2016 EAST experimental campaign,a steady-state long-pulse H-mode discharge with an ITER-like tungsten divertor lasting longer than one minute has been obtained using only RF heating and current drive,through an integrated control of the wall conditioning,plasma configuration,divertor heat flux,particle exhaust,impurity management,and effective coupling of multiple RF heating and current drive sources at high injected power.The plasma current（Ip - 0.45 MA） was fully-noninductively driven（Vloop 〈 0.0 V） by a combination of-2.5 MW LHW,-0.4 MW ECH and -0.8 MW ICRF.This result demonstrates the progress of physics and technology studies on EAST,and will benefit the physics basis for steady state operation of ITER and CFETR.

Dissipation of a two-mode squeezed vacuum state in the single-mode amplitude damping channel

We explore how a two-mode squeezed vacuum state sechθeab tanh θ[00） evolves when it undergoes a single- mode amplitude dissipative channel with rate of decay k. We find that in this process not only the squeezing parameter decreases, tanhθ → e-kt tanh θ, but also the second-mode vacuum state evolves into a chaotic state exp{bbln[（1 - e-2kt） tanh2 θ]}. The outcome state is no more a pure state, but an entangled mixed state.

Security of quantum key distribution using two-mode squeezed states against optimal beam splitter attack

For the beam splitter attack strategy against quantum key distribution using two-mode squeezed states, the analytical expression of the optimal beam splitter parameter is provided in this paper by applying the Shannon information theory. The theoretical secret information rate after error correction and privacy amplification is given in terms of the squeezed parameter and channel parameters. The results show that the two-mode squeezed state quantum key distribution is secure against an optimal beam splitter attack.

Two-mode squeezed state of nanomechanical resonators

In this paper, we introduce a flexible model for the control and measurement of NAMRs （nanomechanical resonators）. We obtain the free Hamiltonian of the dcSQUID （direct current superconducting quantum interference device） and the interaction Hamiltonian between these two NAMRs and the dc-SQUID by introducing the annihilation and creation operators under the rotating wave approximation. We can treat the mode of the dc-SQUID as a classical field. In the Heisenberg picture, the generation of two-mode squeezed states of two nanomechanical resonators is shown by their collective coordinate and momentum operators.

Generation of Superpositions of Two-Mode Coherent States for the Motion of Two Trapped Ions

We propose a method for the generation of superpositions of two-mode coherent states for the center-of-mass and relative vibrational modes of two trapped ions. In the scheme the ions are driven by a single travelling-wave laser field tuned to the carrier. Then a measurement of the internal states collapses the vibrational modes to the entangled coherent state.

Real-time State Monitoring During Switching Mode Transitions in High Power Three-level Inverters

大功率多电平逆变器近年来在实际工业生产中得到越来越广泛的应用。多电平逆变器由于结构复杂,采用元器件较多,因此在设计和实验中,实现各个工作状态下运行参数的同步监测和分析较为困难。本文针对大功率三电平逆变器,实现开关动态特性的在线测试,在此基础上,进一步研究三电平逆变器在开关状态变化时理论与实际负载运行工况下电路拓扑的转换变化规律。通过全电路电气参数和元器件状态的实时监测,发现在三电平逆变器非正常运行状态下开关转换时额外电应力,同时,深入研究在实际工况运行条件非正常状态下该额外电应力出现的机理和原因,为三电平逆变器的故障诊断提供了参考,对于设计高可靠性的多电平逆变器系统有一定的理论和现实意义。

Preparation and control of entangled states in the two-mode coherent fields interacting with a moving atom via two-photon process

We investigate the preparation and the control of entangled states in a system with the two-mode coherent fields interacting with a moving two-level atom via the two-photon transition. We discuss entanglement properties between the two-mode coherent fields and a moving two-level atom by using the quantum reduced entropy, and those between the two-mode coherent fields by using the quantum relative entropy. In addition, we examine the influences of the atomic motion and field-mode structure parameter p on the quantum entanglement of the system. Our results show that the period and the duration of the prepared maximal atom-field entangled states and the frequency of maximal two-mode field entangled states can be controlled, and that a sustained entangled state of the two-mode field, which is independent of atomic motion and the evolution time, can be obtained, by choosing appropriately the parameters of atomic motion, field-mode structure, initial state and interaction time of the system.

Self-Mixing Interference Effects in LD Pumped Multi-Mode Solid-State Laser

Based on the effective structure of the self-mixing interference effects,a general model for the self-mixing interference effects in the LD pumped solid-state laser has been established for the first time.The numerical simulation of the self-mixing interference signal has been done,the results show that when the external cavity length is integral times of 1/2,1/3,2/3,1/4,3/4 of the effective cavity length,the intensity of the self-mixing interference signals reach maximum in value.While that of single mode laser is integral times of half of the effective cavity length,the measuring precision of displacement of single mode laser is λ/2.A conclusion can be drawn from the above results that the measuring precision of displacement of multi-mode laser is higher than that of single mode laser.

Four-mode continuous-variables entangled state:generation from beam splitter,a parametric down-conversion and a polarizer

We introduce a new kind of four-mode continuous variable entangled state in Fock space. The completeness relation and the partly nonorthonormal property of such a state are proven. The scheme to generate this state is presented by combining a symmetrical beamsplitter, a parametric down-conversion and a polarizer. After making a single-mode quadrature amplitude measurement, the remaining three modes are kept in entanglement. And its applications are also discussed.

Transition state to mode locking in a passively mode-locked erbium-doped fibre ring laser

The transition state between the continuous wave region and the mode-locked region in a passively mode-locked erbium-doped fibre ring laser has been experimentally observed by utilizing the nonlinear polarization rotation technique. When the pump power reaches the mode-locked threshold, the metastable pulse train with a tunable repetition rate is obtained in the transition from the continuous wave state to the passive mode-locked state via proper adjustment of the polarization controller. A simpie model has been established to explain the experimental observation.

Single-mode quadrature-amplitude measurement for generalized two-mode squeezed states studied by virtue of the entangled state representation

The result of one-mode quadrature-amplitude measurement for some generalized two-mode squeezed states has been studied by virtue of the entangled state representation of the corresponding two-mode squeezing operators. We find that the remaining fleld-mode simultaneously collapses to the single-mode squeezed state with more stronger squeezing. The measurement result caused by a single-mode squeezed state projector is also calculated, which indicates quantum entanglement in squeezing.

Application of empirical mode decomposition based energy ratio to vortex flowmeter state diagnosis

To improve the measurement performance, a method for diagnosing the state of vortex flowmeter under various flow conditions was presented. The raw sensor signal of the vortex flowmeter was adaptively decomposed into intrinsic mode functions using the empirical mode decomposition approach. Based on the empirical mode decomposition results, the energy of each intrinsic mode function was extracted, and the vortex energy ratio was proposed to analyze how the perturbation in the flow affected the measurement performance of the vortex flowmeter. The relationship between the vortex energy ratio of the signal and the flow condition was established. The results show that the vortex energy ratio is sensitive to the flow condition and ideal for the characterization of the vortex flowmeter signal. Moreover, the vortex energy ratio under normal flow condition is greater than 80%, which can be adopted as an indicator to diagnose the state of a vortex flowmeter.

Solving Laguerre-Gauss Mode Eigenvectors and Eigenfunctions in Entangled State Representation

<正> We solve the Laguerre-Gauss mode eigenvectors and eigenfunctions in the entangled state representationby searching for common eigenvectors of the 2-dimensional harmonic oscillator's total energy operator and the angularmomentum operator.We find that in the entangled state representation the eigen-solution satisfies the Hukuharaequation,and its solution is confluent hypergeometric function.
