In this context, it is essential to find a balance between the protection of privacy and the safeguarding of public health, using tools that guarantee transparency and consent to the processing of data by the population. This work, starting from a pilot investigation conducted in the Polyclinic of Bari as part of the Horizon Europe Seeds project entitled “Multidisciplinary analysis of technological tracing models of contagion: the protection of rights in the management of health data”, has the objective of promoting greater patient awareness regarding the processing of their health data and the protection of privacy. The methodology used the PHICAT (Personal Health Information Competence Assessment Tool) as a tool and, through the administration of a questionnaire, the aim was to evaluate the patients’ ability to express their consent to the release and processing of health data. The results that emerged were analyzed in relation to the 4 domains in which the process is divided which allows evaluating the patients’ ability to express a conscious choice and, also, in relation to the socio-demographic and clinical characteristics of the patients themselves. This study can contribute to understanding patients’ ability to give their consent and improve information regarding the management of health data by increasing confidence in granting the use of their data for research and clinical management.展开更多

The results obtained show that Hasley’s model can be used to obtain the external surfaces. However, it does not allow the surface of the micropores to be obtained, and is not suitable for the case of simple clay concrete (without molasses) and for clay concretes stabilized with molasses. The Carbon Black, Jaroniec and Harkins and Jura models can be used for clay concrete and stabilized clay concrete. The pollution load on the glacio-fluvial streams and surface water resources of the Chapurson Valley in the Hunza Nagar area of the GB is increasing as a result of anthropogenic activities and tourism. The present study focuses on the public health quality of drinking water of Chapurson valley. The study addressed the fundamental drinking water quality criteria in order to understand the state of the public health in the valley. To ascertain the current status of physico-chemical, metals, and bacteriological parameters, 25 water samples were collected through deterministic sampling strategy and examined accordingly. The physico-chemical parameters of the water samples collected from the valley were found to meet the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines of drinking water. The water samples showed a pattern of mean metal concentrations in order of Arsenic (As) > Lead (Pb) > Iron (Fe) > Zinc (Zn) > Copper (Cu) > Magnesium (Mg) > Calcium (Ca). As, Cu, Zn, Ca and Mg concentration were under the WHO guidelines range. However, results showed that Pb and Fe are present at much higher concentrations than recommended WHO guidelines. Similarly, the results of the bacteriological analysis indicate that the water samples are heavily contaminated with the organisms of public health importance (including total coliforms (TCC), total faecal coliforms (TFC) and total fecal streptococci (TFS) are more than 3 MPN/100mL). Three principal components, accounting for 48.44% of the total variance, were revealed using principal component analysis (PCA). Bacteriological parameters were shown to be the main determinants of the water quality as depicted by the PCA analysis. The dendrogram of Cluster analysis using the Ward’s method validated the same traits of the sampling locations that were found to be contaminated during geospatial analysis using the Inverse Distance Weight (IDW) method. Based on these findings, it is most likely that those anthropogenic activities and essentially the tourism results in pollution load from upstream channels. Metals may be released into surface and groundwater from a few underlying sources as a result of weathering and erosion. This study suggests that the valley water resources are more susceptible to bacteriological contamination and as such no water treatment facilities or protective measure have been taken to encounter the pollution load. People are drinking the contaminated water without questioning about the quality. It is recommended that the water resources of the valley should be monitored using standard protocol so as to protect not only the public health but to safe guard sustainable tourism in the valley.展开更多

[Method] The data of sugarcane regional trials in Guangdong, in 2009 was analyzed by three models respectively: Finlay and Wilkinson model: the additive main effects and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) model and linear regression-principal components analysis (LR- PCA) model, so as to compare the models. [Result] The Finlay and Wilkinson model was easier, but the analysis of the other two models was more comprehensive, and there was a bit difference between the additive main effects and multiplicative inter- action (AMMI) model and linear regression-principal components analysis (LR-PCA) model. [Conclusion] In practice, while the proper statistical method was usually con- sidered according to the different data, it should be also considered that the same data should be analyzed with different statistical methods in order to get a more reasonable result by comparison.展开更多

However, concerns about unintended effects of gene transformation that possibly threaten environment or consumer health have persuaded scientists to set up pre-release tests on genetically modified organisms. Assessment of 'substantial equivalence' concept that established by comparison of genetically modified organism with a comparator with a history of safe use could be the first step of a comprehensive risk assessment. Metabolite level is the dchest in performance of changes which stem from genetic or environmental factors. Since assessment of all metabolites in detail is very costly and practically impossible, statistical evaluation of processed data of grain spectroscopic values could be a time and cost effective substitution for complex chemical analysis. To investigate the ability of multivariate statistical techniques in comparison of metabolomes as well as testing a method for such comparisons with available tools, a transgenic rice in combination with its traditionally bred parent were used as test material, and the discriminant analysis were applied as supervised method and principal component analysis as unsupervised classification method on the processed data which were extracted from Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance spectral data of powdered rice and rice extraction and badey grain samples, of which the latter was considered as control. The results confirmed the capability of statistics, even with initial data processing applications in metabolome studies. Meanwhile, this study confirms that the supervised method results in more distinctive results.展开更多

On this basis, it has been concluded that the bucket wheel excavator SRs 1200×24/4×0(400 kW)+VR safety criteria is the mechanism for the hoist of rotor's arrow failure modes, because in that case whole bucket wheel excavator failure would necessarily happen (excavator falling down on counterweight). The objective of this paper, is to determine the habits of purchase of typical and traditional products of the people of Messina (Sicily, Italy). To do this a "motivational" survey was carried out by traditional methodology of descriptive researches. The adopted methodology of research was quantitative and random. The random research strives to identify the factors that depend on the behaviour of purchase and the appraisal of the existing relationships of cause-effect in a determined population. The interviewed were given a questionnaire composed of 17 questions on their knowledge of the typical products characteristics, the frequency of consumption, the monthly amounts destined to the purchase, the motivations that push them to the purchase of typical products rather than pre-packed. Methodologically, our statistical analysis has been performed using the log-likelihood ratio test in order to investigate the existence of association between the joint distributions of qualitative measured variables.展开更多

BF's were analyzed for pH, total soluble solids (TSS), water holding capacity (WHC) and oil holding capacity (OHC) at 40℃, 60 ℃ and 80 ℃, color values L*, a* and b*, back extrusion force and viscosity. Physicochemical data were analyzed by Multivariate Analysis of Variance, discriminant analysis and cluster analysis. All statistical analyses showed that physicochemical properties of BF prepared from different variety and stage of ripeness were different from each other. Viscosity, WHC40, WHC60 and TSS were recommended methods for discrimination between banana flour prepared from the two varieties, whilst viscosity, WHC60 and WHC80 were suggested for differentiation of banana flour prepared using green and ripe banana.展开更多

文摘The rejected specimens from the Emergency Department of the Center of Clinical Laboratory from January 1,2022 to January 1,2023 were analyzed to reduce the specimen rejection rates and to improve the quality of inspection. The results showed that there were 1488 samples of rejected specimens and the non-conforming rate was 0.58%.The departments involved were mainly the Emergency Department, the Hematology Department, the Cardiology Department, the Intensive Care Department, and the Brain Surgery Department.Among the reasons for rejection, blood hemolysis accounted for 43.15%,blood coagulation accounted for 26.61%,and the rate of insufficient specimens was 17.14%.Among them, the sample rejection rate for arterial blood gas analysis was the highest, which accounted for 1.74%;followed by specimens for coagulation test, which was 1.18%.These results indicate the main reason for producing rejected specimens is mainly due to not following the standard operating procedure.Specimen rejection can largely be avoided if the standards for specimen collection are strictly followed.
文摘Based on tidal data statistical analysis for 20 years of Tanggu Marine Environmental Monitoring Station from 1991 to 2010, we concluded that an average of nearly 10 days of 100 cm above water increase took place at Tianjin coast every year. The maximum high tide and average tide of Tianjin coast occurred in summer and autumn, and the maximum water increase also occurred in summer and autumn. Days with water increase more than 100 cm mostly occurred in spring, autumn and winter. Then we summarized the causes of coastal storm surge disaster in Tianjin based on astronomical tide factors, meteorological factors, sea level rise, land subsidence, and geographic factors, et al. Finally, we proposed storm surge disaster prevention measures.

文摘Recently, gender equality and women’s entrepreneurship have gained considerable attention in global economic development.Prior to the design of any policy interventions to increase women’s entrepreneurship,it is significant to comprehend the factors motivating women to become entrepreneurs. The non-understanding of the factors can result in the endurance of low living stan-dards and the design of expensive and ineffectual policies. But female involve-ment in entrepreneurship becomes higher in developing economies compared to developed economies.Women Entrepreneurship Index(WEI)plays a vital role in determining the factors that enable theflourishment of high potential female entrepreneurs which enhances economic welfare and contributes to the economic and social fabric of society. Therefore,it is needed to design an automated and accurate WEI prediction model to improve women’s entrepreneurship. In this view, this article develops an automated statistical analysis enabled WEI predic-tive(ASA-WEIP)model.The proposed ASA-WEIP technique aims to effectually determine the WEI.The proposed ASA-WEIP technique encompasses a series of sub-processes such as pre-processing,WEI prediction, and parameter optimiza-tion.For the prediction of WEI,the ASA-WEIP technique makes use of the Deep Belief Network(DBN)model, and the parameter optimization process takes place using Squirrel Search Algorithm(SSA).The performance validation of the ASA-WEIP technique was executed using the benchmark dataset from the Kaggle repo-sitory.The experimental outcomes stated the better outcomes of the ASA-WEIP technique over the other existing techniques.
文摘Water borne ailments are of serious public health concern in Gilgit Baltistan’s (GB) region of Pakistan. It is recommended that the water resources of the valley should be monitored using standard protocol so as to protect not only the public health but to safe guard sustainable tourism in the valley.

文摘[Objective] The study aimed to compare several statistical analysis models for estimating the sugarcane (Saccharum spp.) genotypic stability. [Conclusion] In practice, while the proper statistical method was usually con- sidered according to the different data, it should be also considered that the same data should be analyzed with different statistical methods in order to get a more reasonable result by comparison.
文摘Modern biotechnology, based on recombinant DNA techniques, has made it possible to introduce new traits with great potential for crop improvement. Meanwhile, this study confirms that the supervised method results in more distinctive results.
文摘Within this paper, the process of statistical safety analysis has been presented, which involves the following steps: formulation of basic principles of statistical safety analysis, initial events analysis, accident sceneries progress analysis, risk calculation, and risk calculation results analysis. Therefore, excavator units statistical safety analysis is accomplished preventively to obtain its effective maintenance management.

文摘Security is a vital parameter to conserve energy in wireless sensor networks(WSN).Trust management in the WSN is a crucial process as trust is utilized when collaboration is important for accomplishing trustworthy data transmission. But the available routing techniques do not involve security in the design of routing techniques. This study develops a novel statistical analysis with dingo optimizer enabled reliable routing scheme(SADO-RRS)for WSN.The proposed SADO-RRS technique aims to detect the existence of attacks and optimal routes in WSN.In addition, the presented SADORRS technique derives a new statistics based linear discriminant analysis(LDA)for attack detection,Moreover,a trust based dingo optimizer(TBDO)algorithm is applied for optimal route selection in the WSN and accomplishes secure data transmission in WSN.Besides, the TBDO algorithm involves the derivation of the fitness function involving different input variables of WSN.For demonstrating the enhanced outcomes of the SADO-RRS technique,a wide range of simulations was carried out and the outcomes demonstrated the enhanced outcomes of the SADO-RRS technique.
文摘The denominations of origin being perceived by the consumers in terms of both intrinsic qualities and of extrinsic qualities, have contributed in no uncertain manner to the increase of the typical products in question, positively influenced also by the noted emergencies coming from verified alimentary alarms during the beginning of the XXI century. Methodologically, our statistical analysis has been performed using the log-likelihood ratio test in order to investigate the existence of association between the joint distributions of qualitative measured variables.
文摘Physicochemical properties of banana flour (BF) were studied in two varieties (Cavendish and Dream) and two stages of ripeness (green and ripe). Viscosity, WHC40, WHC60 and TSS were recommended methods for discrimination between banana flour prepared from the two varieties, whilst viscosity, WHC60 and WHC80 were suggested for differentiation of banana flour prepared using green and ripe banana.
文摘Chinese traditional shadow play has been selected into the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2011.Yet,reflecting abundant national cultural values, such traditional art form is degenerating and fading out from people’s sight. As the earliest statistical analysis software,Statistical Package for the Social Science(SPSS)is comprehensive in analyzing and managing statistical data. This study explores the application of SPSS in minimizing the workload of researchers while raising the validity of data in supporting the analysis of the survey data which reflected the inheritance and development of Chinese traditional shadow play in schools.
