The effect of 9 parameters ( 52 specimens) ,i. e. height of the upper support,depth of the ring of the upper support,depth of the top plate of the bottom support,height of the ribs of the bottom support,depth of the ribs of the bottom support,bolt hole diameter,number of the ribs of the bowl,depth of the ribs of the bowl,and yield strength of the material,were analyzed with a 3-dimensional elastic-plastic finite element model in which the nonlinearities of geometry,material and contact were all considered. Analysis shows that height of the upper support,depth of the ring of the upper support and yield strength of the material have a great effect on the mechanical performance of the support. Height of the upper support has the largest effect on performance price ratio of the support,and the maximum effect can be up to 160% . Depth of the top plate of the bottom support,height of the ribs of the bottom support and depth of the ribs of the bottom support have a medium effect on performance price ratio of the support,and the effect is within the limit of 15% 19% .展开更多
[Objectives]To explore the trend of brands towards the design of waist protection products through data mining,and to provide reference for the design concept of the contour of waist protection pillow.[Methods]The str...[Objectives]To explore the trend of brands towards the design of waist protection products through data mining,and to provide reference for the design concept of the contour of waist protection pillow.[Methods]The structural design information of all waist protection equipment was collected from the national Internet platform,and the data were classified and a database was established.IBM SPSS 26.0 and MATLAB 2018a were used to analyze the data and tabulate them in Tableau 2022.4.After the association rules were clarified,the data were imported into Cinema 4D R21 to create the concept contour of waist protection pillow.[Results]The average and standard deviation of the single airbag design were the highest in all groups,with an average of 0.511 and a standard deviation of 0.502.The average and standard deviation of the upper and lower dual airbags were the lowest in all groups,with an average of 0.015 and a standard deviation of 0.120;the correlation coefficient between single airbag and 120°arc stretching was 0.325,which was positively correlated with each other(P<0.01);the correlation coefficient between multiple airbags and 360°encircling fitting was 0.501,which was positively correlated with each other and had the highest correlation degree(P<0.01).[Conclusions]The single airbag design is well recognized by companies,and has received the highest attention among all brand products.While focusing on single airbag design,most brands will consider the need to add 120°arc stretching elements in product design.At the time of focusing on multiple airbag design,some brands believe that 360°encircling fitting elements need to be added to the product,and the correlation between the two is the highest among all groups.展开更多

Based on geological and mining characteristics,coal mine roadways under complex conditions were divided into five types,for each type the deformation and damage characteristics of rocks surrounding roadways were analy...Based on geological and mining characteristics,coal mine roadways under complex conditions were divided into five types,for each type the deformation and damage characteristics of rocks surrounding roadways were analyzed.The recent developments of roadway support technologies were introduced abroad,based on the experiences of supports for deep and complex roadways from Germany,the United States and Australia.The history and achievements of roadway support technologies in China were detailed,including rock bolting,steel supports,grouting reinforcement and combined supports.Four typical support and reinforcement case studies were analyzed,including a high stressed roadway 1,000 m below the surface,a roadway surrounded by severely weak and broken rocks,a chamber surrounded by weak and broken rocks,and a roadway with very soft and swelling rocks.Based on studies and practices in many years,rock bolting has become the mainstream roadway support form in China coal mines,and steel supports,grouting reinforcement and combined supports have also been applied at proper occasions,which have provided reliable technical measures for the safe and high effective construction and mining of underground coal mines.展开更多
The application of steel strut force servo systems in deep excavation engineering is not widespread,and there is a notable scarcity of in-situ measured datasets.This presents a significant research gap in the field.Ad...The application of steel strut force servo systems in deep excavation engineering is not widespread,and there is a notable scarcity of in-situ measured datasets.This presents a significant research gap in the field.Addressing this,our study introduces a valuable dataset and application scenarios,serving as a reference point for future research.The main objective of this study is to use machine learning(ML)methods for accurately predicting strut forces in steel supporting structures,a crucial aspect for the safety and stability of deep excavation projects.We employed five different ML methods:radial basis function neural network(RBFNN),back propagation neural network(BPNN),K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN),support vector machine(SVM),and random forest(RF),utilizing a dataset of 2208 measured points.These points included one output parameter(strut forces)and seven input parameters(vertical position of strut,plane position of strut,time,temperature,unit weight,cohesion,and internal frictional angle).The effectiveness of these methods was assessed using root mean square error(RMSE),correlation coefficient(R),and mean absolute error(MAE).Our findings indicate that the BPNN method outperforms others,with RMSE,R,and MAE values of 72.1 kN,0.9931,and 57.4 kN,respectively,on the testing dataset.This study underscores the potential of ML methods in precisely predicting strut forces in deep excavation engineering,contributing to enhanced safety measures and project planning.展开更多

A vertical ship lift under earthquake excitation may suffer from a whipping effect due to the sudden change of building lateral stiffness at the top of the ship lift towers.This paper proposes a roof magnetorheologica...A vertical ship lift under earthquake excitation may suffer from a whipping effect due to the sudden change of building lateral stiffness at the top of the ship lift towers.This paper proposes a roof magnetorheological(MR)intelligent isolation system to prevent the seismic whipping effect on machinery structures.Theoretically,the dynamic models of MR damper and the mechanical model of ship lift was established,the inverse neural network controlling algorithm was proposed and the fundamental semi-active control equation for the Three-Gorges ship lift where the MR intelligent isolation system was installed was deduced.Experimentally,the experimental model of the ship lift was given,the vibrating table experiment of the MR intelligent isolation system controlling the whipping effect was carried out and the results of the inverse neural network control strategy and passive isolation strategy were compared.In practical aspect,the large-scale MR damper(500 kN)and a sliding support with limited stiffness were designed and fabricated.It was proven that the MR intelligent isolation system with proper control strategy can greatly reduce the seismic whipping effect on the top workshop of the ship lift and be simple and effective enough to be applied to real engineering structures.展开更多
