Recently,MnO2 has gained attention as an electrode material because of its very high theoretical capacity and abundant availability.However,the very high volumetric change caused by its conversion-type reaction results in bad reversibility of charge-discharge.In this study,δ-MnO2 of thickness 8 nm anchored on the surface of carbon nanotubes(CNT)by Mn-O-C chemical bonding is synthesized via a facile hydrothermal method.Numerous ex-situ characterizations of the lithium storage process were performed.Furthermore,density functional theory(DFT)calculations indicated thatδ-MnO2(012)thermodynamically prefers bonding with CNTs.Moreover,the interfacial interaction reinforces the connection of Mn-O and reduces the bond strength of Li-O in lithiated MnO2,which could facilitate an intercalation-type lithium storage reaction.Consequently,the as-synthesizedδ-MnO2 retains an excellent reversible capacity of 577.5 mAh g-1 in 1000 cycles at a high rate of 2 A g-1 between 0.1 V and 3.0 V.The results of this study demonstrate the possibility of employing the cost-effective transition metal oxides as intercalation lithium storage dominant electrodes for advanced rechargeable batteries. 展开更多

In this paper, a holographic storage scheme for multimedia data storage and retrieval based on the digital signal processing (DSP) is designed. A communication model for holographic storage system is obtained on the analogy of traditional communication system. Many characteristics of holographic storage are embodied in the communication model. Then some new methods of DSP including two-dimensional (2-D) shifting interleaving, encoding and decoding of modulation-array (MA) code and method of soft-decision, etc. are proposed and employed in the system. From the results of experiments it can be seen that those measures can effectively reduce the influence of noise. A segment of multimedia data, including video and audio data, is retrieved successfully after holographic storage by using those techniques. 展开更多

The nano-crystalline Cu-Ce-Zr-O composite oxides were successfully prepared by the supercritical anti-solvent (SAS) process. The physicochemical properties and catalytic performances were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, H2 temperature-programmed reduction (H2 -TPR), oxygen storage capacity (OSC) measurement and catalytic activity evaluation. It was found that Cu2+ ions incorporated into CeO2 -ZrO2 lattice to form Cu-Ce-Zr-O solid solution associated with the formation of oxygen vacancies. The Cu-Ce-Zr-O catalysts prepared via the SAS process with the Cu content 2.63 mol.% showed the highest OSC index of 636.9 μmol/g. Compared with the samples prepared by impregnation method, Cu doping using SAS process could improve the dispersion of Cu2+ in the composite oxide, enhance the interaction between Cu2+ and CeO2-ZrO2 , improve the reducibility of catalyst, and thus improve the OSC performance and increase the catalytic activity for CO oxidation at low temperature. 展开更多
