Glucocorticoids-based prodrug design:Current strategies and research progress

Attributing to their broad pharmacological effects encompassing anti-inflammation,antitoxin,and immunosuppression,glucocorticoids(GCs)are extensively utilized in the clinic for the treatment of diverse diseases such as lupus erythematosus,nephritis,arthritis,ulcerative colitis,asthma,keratitis,macular edema,and leukemia.However,longterm use often causes undesirable side effects,including metabolic disorders-induced Cushing's syndrome(buffalo back,full moon face,hyperglycemia,etc.),osteoporosis,aggravated infection,psychosis,glaucoma,and cataract.These notorious side effects seriously compromise patients'quality of life,especially in patients with chronic diseases.Therefore,glucocorticoid-based advanced drug delivery systems for reducing adverse effects have received extensive attention.Among them,prodrugs have the advantages of low investment,low risk,and high success rate,making them a promising strategy.In this review,we propose the strategies for the design and summarize current research progress of glucocorticoid-based prodrugs in recent decades,including polymer-based prodrugs,dendrimer-based prodrugs,antibody-drug conjugates,peptide-drug conjugates,carbohydrate-based prodrugs,aliphatic acid-based prodrugs and so on.Besides,we also raise issues that need to be focused on during the development of glucocorticoid-based prodrugs.This review is expected to be helpful for the research and development of novel GCs and prodrugs.

Research Status,Practical Dilemmas,and Optimization Strategies of Blended Teaching in Universities

Blended teaching has emerged as a prominent subject in the recent reform and innovation of higher education.It has become imperative and guiding for colleges and universities to embrace a mixed teaching approach that aligns with the evolving needs of education and teaching in the new era.This paper aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the research status surrounding blended teaching,encompassing fundamental issues,teaching design,practical guidance,teaching effectiveness,and evaluation.By critically examining the current challenges associated with blended teaching,this study proposes optimization strategies including enhancing student participation and interaction,promoting deep learning,improving teachers’preparedness,teaching technologies,and curriculum design capabilities,strengthening top-level design,and perfecting evaluation and incentive mechanisms.These strategies provide new directions for the reform of blended teaching.

Innovative Research on Enterprise Marketing Strategies under the Background of New Media

Marketing is one of the comprehensive development strategies for production-oriented and service-oriented enterprises, and it is also an effective path to increase income and revenue for enterprises. By operating and selling the main products, services, cultural concepts, and many more of the enterprise in a market-oriented manner. We aim to deepen the impression of the enterprise among consumers, enhance its market influence, and seek more opportunities for cooperation and development for the enterprise. However, with increasingly fierce market competition, traditional marketing models are no longer able to maximize their effectiveness. This article firstly analyzes the positive impact of new media background on enterprise marketing in expanding the scope of information release, improving marketing targeting, and creating new marketing platforms. Secondly, it explores the problems faced by enterprises in the current marketing process, such as outdated ideological concepts, insufficient team building, and rigid marketing content. Finally, strategies such as updating marketing concepts, strengthening team building, and innovating marketing content were proposed to provide some reference and inspiration for enterprises to smoothly promote marketing work under the background of new media.

Research on the Impact of Social Media Live-Streaming on Consumer Purchasing Behavior and Its Coping Strategies

Due to the rapid development of network technology and the popularity of live-streaming,more and more businesses and individuals are using live-streaming to promote their products,giving rise to a new marketing model of social media live-streaming.Based on the social media live-streaming market,businesses or enterprises focus on tapping into new consumer demand,and social media live-streaming marketing has gradually expanded into various fields.Based on the SOR theory,this paper discusses how to improve the coping strategies of consumer purchasing behavior through social media live-streaming by analyzing the representative factors affecting consumer purchasing behavior such as anchors,brands,and live-streaming content in social media live-streaming.The results of this study will contribute to a better understanding of the relationship between social media live-streaming marketing models and consumer purchasing behavior and will help to reveal the potentials and limitations of social media live-streaming,thus providing valuable ideas and scientific basis for social media live-streaming marketing strategies.

Research Progress on Myocardial Protection Strategies

Myocaridial protection aims to salvage myocardium from ischemia and reperfusion injury and to reduce infarct size and its consequences.After more than 30 years of development,the concept of ischemic preconditioning has evolved into"ischemic conditioning",a term that encompasses a number of related endogenous cardioprotective strategies,which can be applied either directly to the heart(ischemic preconditioning or postconditioning)or from afar,for example to a limb(remote ischemic preconditioning,preconditioning,or postconditioning).A variety of cardioprotective therapies have shown promising results in reducing infarct size and improving clinical outcomes in patients with ischemic heart disease.

Machine learning applications in healthcare clinical practice and research

Machine learning(ML)is a type of artificial intelligence that assists computers in the acquisition of knowledge through data analysis,thus creating machines that can complete tasks otherwise requiring human intelligence.Among its various applications,it has proven groundbreaking in healthcare as well,both in clinical practice and research.In this editorial,we succinctly introduce ML applications and present a study,featured in the latest issue of the World Journal of Clinical Cases.The authors of this study conducted an analysis using both multiple linear regression(MLR)and ML methods to investigate the significant factors that may impact the estimated glomerular filtration rate in healthy women with and without non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Their results implicated age as the most important determining factor in both groups,followed by lactic dehydrogenase,uric acid,forced expiratory volume in one second,and albumin.In addition,for the NAFLD-group,the 5th and 6th most important impact factors were thyroid-stimulating hormone and systolic blood pressure,as compared to plasma calcium and body fat for the NAFLD+group.However,the study's distinctive contribution lies in its adoption of ML methodologies,showcasing their superiority over traditional statistical approaches(herein MLR),thereby highlighting the potential of ML to represent an invaluable advanced adjunct tool in clinical practice and research.

Research on Risk Prevention and Resolution Strategies of College Network Ideology in the Context of the Internet

With the rapid development of the Internet,the network ideology of colleges and universities is facing severe challenges.This paper deeply analyzes the root of the risk of network ideology and makes a specific investigation of the status quo of network public opinion in colleges and universities.On this basis,the study explores and puts forward a series of targeted risk prevention and resolution strategies,aiming at providing a systematic solution for the network ideology security of colleges and universities.In this paper,with the combination of theory and practice as the path,we verify the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed strategy through the analysis of the implementation effect of the strategy.This study also provides theoretical support and practical guidance for the prevention and control of ideological risks and public opinion guidance in universities under the network environment,which has important practical significance.With the continuous progress of network technology,the threats to the network ideology of colleges and universities are increasing.For example,the spread of false information has become a serious problem affecting the security of college network ideology.

Synthetic data as an investigative tool in hypertension and renal diseases research

There is a growing body of clinical research on the utility of synthetic data derivatives,an emerging research tool in medicine.In nephrology,clinicians can use machine learning and artificial intelligence as powerful aids in their clinical decision-making while also preserving patient privacy.This is especially important given the epidemiology of chronic kidney disease,renal oncology,and hypertension worldwide.However,there remains a need to create a framework for guidance regarding how to better utilize synthetic data as a practical application in this research.

Through the research into college students＇ English autonomous learning ability of the non-English major students. That the cause why university students＇ English autonomous learning ability is weak is proved to be that they do not value the use of learning strategies. Metacognitive strategy is a high-level management skill which can enable the learners to plan, regulate, monitor and evaluate actively their own learning process. Massive researches have proved whether metacognitive strategy is used successfully or not can directly affect the student learning result. Supercapacitors are one of the most promising energy storage devices in the fields of vehicle transportation,flexible electronic devices,aerospace,etc.However,the existed self-discharge that is the spontaneous voltage decay after supercapacitors are fully charged,brings about the wide gap between experimental studies and practical utilization of supercapacitors.Although eliminating the selfdischarge completely is not reachable,suppressing the self-discharge rate to the lowest point is possible and feasible.So far,the significant endeavors have been devoted to achieve this goal.Herein,we summary and discuss the possible mechanisms for the self-discharge and the underlying influence factors.Moreover,the strategies to suppress the self-discharge are systemically summed up by three independent but unified aspects:modifying the electrode,modulating the electrolyte and tuning the separator.Finally,the major challenges to suppress the self-discharge of supercapacitors are concluded and the promising strategies are also pointed out and discussed.This review is presented with the view of serving as a guideline to suppress the self-discharge of supercapacitors and to across-the-board facilitate their widespread application.

From basic researches to new achievements in therapeutic strategies of KRAS-driven cancers

Among the numerous oncogenes involved in human cancers, KRAS represents the most studied and best characterized cancerrelated genes.Several therapeutic strategies targeting oncogenic KRAS(KRASonc) signaling pathways have been suggested,including the inhibition of synthetic lethal interactions, direct inhibition of KRASonc itself, blockade of downstream KRASonc effectors, prevention of post-translational KRASonc modifications, inhibition of the induced stem cell-like program, targeting of metabolic peculiarities, stimulation of the immune system, inhibition of inflammation, blockade of upstream signaling pathways,targeted RNA replacement, and oncogene-induced senescence.Despite intensive and continuous efforts, KRASonc remains an elusive target for cancer therapy.To highlight the progress to date, this review covers a collection of studies on therapeutic strategies for KRAS published from 1995 to date.An overview of the path of progress from earlier to more recent insights highlight novel opportunities for clinical development towards KRASonc-signaling targeted therapeutics.

Teleoperation strategies research for collaborative welding systems based on virtual reality

Teleoperation control strategies for collaborative welding system which is targeting at giving full play to human’s superiority is designed and the fitness for teleoperation welding task of which are studied. During the teleoperation welding process, 6-DOF controller’s signal can be converted into welding torch’s position, velocity or acceleration changing which is being controlled. For welding purposes, control strategies of four modes are designed, which are static position and posture mode, dynamic position and posture mode, velocity mode and acceleration mode. A test and analysis system for testing the tracking accuracy and reliability of control strategy based on virtual reality is developed. The tracking accuracies of the four control strategies are studied in the following tests with straight line trajectory, curve trajectory or space curve trajectory. The results show that the control strategy in dynamic position and posture mode has best stability and strong adaptability which is the most suitable for the teleoperation system.

A Research on Middle School Students'English Reading Obstacles and Strategies

English reading,a key procedure of English learning and teaching in middle school,is an essential way of getting information from the globe and communicating with others.Therefore,efficient comprehension on reading materials will directly serve for accepting the information.And it is extremely important for middle school students to acquire certain reading ability.At present,great attention has been paid to the course of reading in the instruction of English by the Chinese Education Department.But middle school students'read ing ability is still much lower than the target they should reach because of a set of existing obstacles that prevent them from being effective English readers.What are these obstacles? How to break them down? This paper will first point out and then analyze the obstacles that af fect middle school students'reading ability from two aspects:linguistic obstacles(obstacles of lexicon,grammar and background knowl edge) and non-linguistic obstacles(obstacles of psychology,interest,skill,and habit).After demonstrating different obstacles,the paper also come up with some corresponding strategies in the hope of helping middle school students to be effective English readers.
