In the contemporary digital age,traditional reading habits have been compromised by digital media,a situation that has forced academic libraries to adopt proactive marketing approaches to promote reading among students and faculty.This article investigates the implementation of marketing strategies in promoting reading activities within academic libraries,taking the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology as a case study.The paper explores various marketing strategies employed by academic libraries,including market segmentation,utilization of new media platforms,and the creation of personalized content for readers.Drawing from an extensive literature review and real-world examples,the study establishes a framework for marketing reading promotion activities tailored to academic libraries.These findings underscore how effective marketing strategies can enhance user participation,expand library influence,and optimize resource utilization.

A universal charge-compensating strategy for high-energy-density pseudocapacitors

For pseudocapacitive electrode materials(PseEMs),despite much progress having been made in achieving both high power density and high energy density,a general strategy to guide the enhancement of intrinsic capacitive properties of PseEMs remains lacking.Here,we demonstrate a universal chargecompensating strategy to improve the charge-storage capability of PseEMs intrinsically:ⅰ) in the electrolyte with anion as charge carriers(such as OH-),reducing the multivalent cations of PseEMs into lower valences could create more reversible low-to-high valence redox cou ples to promote the intercalation of the anions;ⅱ) in the electrolytes with cation as charge carriers(such as H^(+),Li^(+),Na^(+)),oxidizing the multivalent cations of PseEMs into higher valences could introduce more reversible high-to-low valence redox couples to promote the intercalation of the cations.And we demonstrated that the improved intrinsic charge-storage capability for PseEMs originates from the increased Faradaic charge storage sites.

A Universal Strategy For N-Doped 2D Carbon Nanosheets With Sub-Nanometer Micropore For High-Performance Supercapacitor

Preparing carbon nanosheets with precise control of open porous morphology via universal process and understanding the relationship between structure and capacitive performance are very urgent for achieving advanced supercapacitors.Herein,we propose a simple yet effective additive-free method to transform a bulk layered potassium phthalimide salt to novel nitrogen-doped twodimensional carbon sheets by self-activation during calcination.The obtained samples showed large-sized and flat structure with lateral size around 10μm,uniform sub-nanometer micropore size distribution of about 0.65 nm dimension,large specific surface area up to 2276.7 m^(2)g^(-1),and suitable nitrogen doping.Benefited from these merits,the optimized sample delivers a high specific capacitance of 345 F g^(-1)at 1 A g^(-1)and retains 270 F g^(-1)even at 50 A g^(-1)in6.0 M KOH electrolyte.Remarkably,the symmetric supercapacitor shows maximum energy densities of 16.43 Wh kg^(-1)and 23.6 Wh kg^(-1)in 6.0 M KOH and 1.0 M Na_(2)SO_(4)electrolytes,respectively.Importantly,on account the universality and simplicity of this method,the undoped as-prepared carbon sheet with uniform sub-nanometer micropore distribution can be synthesized from different potassium-containing salts with layered structure,which can be employed as a model for a deep understanding the effect of sub-nanometer micropores on capacitive performances.We find the number of micropores centered at 0.65 nm can be applied as one indicator to clarify the correlation between capacitance and critical pore size below 1 nm.

Value Orientation in Higher Education-Strategies for Implementation in Particular Reference to Indian Universities and Colleges During COVID-19

This present theoretical paper tries to highlight,i.e.,how education plays an important role in the process of social change through inculcating value within the youngsters of our higher education particularly in this COVID-19 unpredicted situation.It is very potential instrument,a powerful medium of bringing about changes in the society through more than 65%of the youngsters in the higher education of our country.Changes brought about by value-oriented education are permanent and transcendent in nature.This paper suggests that with the help of new communication media,technology,modern methodology,and latest instructional materials,education brings about changes in the society during this COVID-19 situation.This paper also highlights that the NEP(1986)characterizes higher education as a crucial factor for survival,providing the Indian people with an opportunity to reflect on the critical,social,economic,cultural,moral and spiritual issues facing humanity.This paper further argues that higher education in this COVID-19 also is the main instrument for development and it is the time to change the ways and come forward for value orientation through universities and colleges by the government.It has the important task of preparing leaders for different walks of life-social,intellectual,political,cultural,scientific,and technological.

The Driving Strategy of Online Ideological and Political Class in Universities Based on SWOT Analysis

The epidemic provided practical opportunities for online classes and also tested its drawbacks. To analyze the internal strengths (S) and weaknesses (W) as well as the external opportunities (O) and threats (T) of the online ideological and political class with SWOT theory, based on which to explore targeted solutions, is a “symptomatic” approach to improving the quality of the online ideological and political class. The analysis results are as follows: S includes “not limited by time and space”, “comprehensive teaching monitoring data”, “diverse and innovative interactive forms”, and “abundant high-quality teaching resources”. W refers to “increased difficulty in classroom control”, “teachers’ psychological pressure caused by online teaching”, and “limited by hardware conditions”. O means the opportunity provided by the modernization of ideological and political education and epidemics. T indicates external threats, such as limitations from the network and the severe impact of wrong values on the internet. The driving strategy for above case could be “upgrading of online teaching platforms”, “building a teaching team skilled in information technology teaching”, “improving hardware facilities” and “joining forces to confront value crisis”.

Rethinking Strategies to Address Inequity in Immunization Services towards Achieving Universal Immunization Coverage (UIC) in Karachi, Pakistan

Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan, having high population growth and a complex health care environment, has highest density of unimmunized (zero dose) and under-immunized children. The main reasons of low immunization coverage in Karachi were lack of governance and accountability in a duplicative and fragmented health management structure, weak and inequitable immunization services, and lack of demand and trust among people for immunization services. The Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), Ministry of Health (MOH) in Sindh Province spearheaded a structured and collaborative process to develop strategies for addressing inequity in immunization services towards achieving Universal Immunization Coverage (UIC) in Karachi. The process included a situation analysis with gathering quantitative and qualitative information on the root causes of zero-dose and inequity of the immunization services. The strategies and interventions were developed with multi-layer input and feedback of the stakeholders and partners, and focusing primarily to address gaps in three program areas: governance, leadership and accountability;immunization service delivery;and building demand and trust among the people. The interventions were further prioritized for high-risk areas;identified based on maximum number zero-dose children, presence of large slum areas, measles outbreak and on-going circulation of wild poliovirus. Finally, costing for the Roadmap activities was done through consultation with partners and aligning domestic and external (donor) resources. In this paper, we have highlighted the unique process the Sindh Government undertook in collaboration with the stakeholders and partners to develop strategies and interventions for addressing inequity in urban immunization services in Karachi towards achieving Universal Immunization Coverage (UIC). Similar processes can be adapted, as a potential model, for developing strategies to achieve universal health coverage in the cities of Pakistan and in other countries.

Optimization Analysis of Campus Topic Space in Colleges and Universities——A Case Study of the Colleges and Universities in Lishui, Zhejiang Province

University campus is the most important place for life, study, activity and experience of contemporary college students. It is helpful for students to survive and develop to create the topic space of campus. Taking the topic space of college campuses in Lishui City of Zhejiang Province as an example, the current situations are analyzed through questionnaire survey and field visit. The results show that uni- versity campus space needs a clear topic; the demands are generally large for the topics of exchange and communication, learning and thinking, sports and leisure in all kinds of space; the creation of these types of topic spaces should focus on the peaceful environment, beautiful scenery, privacy of the space and WlFI coverage.

English Vocabulary Memorizing Strategies by Chinese University Students

The findings of the study indicate that students prefer to engage in the vocabulary learning strategies that would be most appealing to them and that would entail less manipulation of the language. Of the four vocabulary memorizing strategies cited in the study （rote repetition, structural associations, semantic strategies, and mnemonic keyword techniques）, students apparently tended to favor the second and the third ones, though rote repetition remains appealing to some of them. Mnemonic devices such as keyword method were rather unpopular to most of the students because they would involve the learners in more active performance of the target language.

An Employment of English Reading Strategies by Chinese University Students

The increased strategy use is one of the factors that contribute to the success of English reading comprehension. In addition, strategic reading is significant for a reader to construct meaning effectively from written texts. The study aimed to examine the frequency of the employment of reading strategies by 1,368 Chinese university students in Southwest China; and the relationship between students＇ employment of reading strategies and their genders. The data were collected through the questionnaire and analyzed quantitatively through the ANOVA （Analysis of Variance） and the chi-square tests in terms of examining the significant variation. The results revealed that the frequency of the participants＇ overall reading strategy use fell into the moderate use; the significant differences were found in relation to the students＇ genders. The pedagogical implications in relation to the particular research findings were given at the end of the paper.
