To guarantee required quality and ductility, various tests have to be conducted to measure the concrete’s compressive strength based on ACI (American Concrete Institute) code. Investigations of recent devastating collapses of structures around the world showed that some of the collapses directly resulted from the poor quality of the concrete. The lesson learned from these tragedies is that guaranteeing high quality of concrete is one of the most important factors ensuring the safety of the reinforced concrete structure. In order to ensure high quality of concrete, a new method for analyzing and evaluating the concrete production process is called for. In this paper, the indices of fit and stable degree are proposed as basis to evaluate the fitness and stability of concrete’s compressive strength. These two indices are combined to define and evaluate the quality index of the compressive strength of concrete. Prin-ciples of statistics are used to derive the best estimators of these indices. Based on the outcome of the study, a concrete compres-sive strength quality control chart is proposed as a tool to help the evaluation process. Finally, a new evaluation procedure to assess the quality control capability of the individual concrete manufacturer is also proposed.展开更多
In order to reduce shrinkage and improve the mechanical properties of dental composite resins, we designed a hybrid resin formulation containing a novel matrix resin, Bis S-GMA [bisphenol-Sbis(3-methacrylato-2-hydrox...In order to reduce shrinkage and improve the mechanical properties of dental composite resins, we designed a hybrid resin formulation containing a novel matrix resin, Bis S-GMA [bisphenol-Sbis(3-methacrylato-2-hydroxypropyl)ether], and epoxy modifi ed by a spiro-orthocarbonate(SOC) expanding monomer. Then, we tested the effects of an iodonium salt, diphenyliodonium hexafl uorphosphate(DPIHFP), on the properties of the hybrid resin with seven different concentrations. The hybrid resin was polymerized by a ternary photo-initiator system. The volumetric shrinkage(VS), degree of conversion(DC) and compressive strength(CS) were assessed using Acu Vol^TM, FTIR and a universal testing machine, respectively. The VS, DC and CS were improved with increasing DPIHFP concentration, but a high concentration of DPIHFP had a negative infl uence on the mechanical properties of the hybrid resin and offered no added improvement in the VS and DC. The best performance of a composite resin containing Bis S-GMA and SOC-modifi ed epoxy was achieved with 2wt% DPIHFP. The results also indicated that the resin containing Bis S-GMA was superior to that containing Bis-GMA in terms of VS, DC and CS.展开更多
We construct a call network digraph G with attribution using mobile phone call records within 21 days collected by three operators and analyze the social call behavior features through analyzing the degree distributio...We construct a call network digraph G with attribution using mobile phone call records within 21 days collected by three operators and analyze the social call behavior features through analyzing the degree distribution of nodes of the network digraph under the help of Graphx based on the Spark Platform.We get the following social conclusions from the communication relationship between phone users:on average,users make about5~7 mobile telephone calls and connect about2~3 persons one day;on weekends,people make less calls but spend longer time on each call,revealing that working calls account for a large part of calls on weekdays;among these telephone calls on weekdays,most are less than one minute,and on average,mobile users that call more people also tend to be called by more individuals.展开更多
