Results show that the measured thermal cycle curves match well with the simulation result. The discontinuity of the superior pubic rami is a risk factor for this complication. We investigated the stress field differences in standing and sitting positions after CPO. Methods: We used finite element analysis to assess the effects of inferior pubic rami and ischial fractures with or without discontinuity of superior pubic rami. We used the “union model”, obtained from a bony union at the osteotomy site of the superior pubic rami from 38-year-old woman who had undergone CPO for left hip dysplasia. We deleted the bony union region and created a discontinuity in the superior pubic rami equal to the non-union, creating the “discontinuity model”. We compared the stress field and stress value in the simulated standing and half weight-bearing positions on the operative side, one-legged standing position on the non-operative side, and the sitting position. Findings: In 4 cases, the inferior rami experienced the highest stress. Stress values in the discontinuity model were higher than those in the union model: 1.7 times in the case of one-legged standing on the operative side, 2.4 times in the case of half weight-bearing on the operative side, 3.8 times in the case of one-legged standing on the non-operative side, and 2.0 times in the sitting position, respectively. Interpretation: We recommend patients delay weight bearing on the operative side, avoid the sitting position as long as possible, and sit down slowly to prevent inferior pubic rami and ischial fractures after CPO.展开更多

During the FEM calculation, the dual heat source models namely the body heat source and surface heat source were used to explore the evolution law of the welding process to the residual stress field. The method of ultrasonic residual stress detecting was used to investigate the residual stresses field of the 6 N01 aluminum alloy FSW joints. The results show that the steady-state temperature of 6 N01 aluminum alloy during FSW is about 550 ℃,and the temperature mutates at the beginning and at end of welding. The longitudinal residual stress σ_x is the main stress, which fluctuates in the range of-25 to 242 MPa. Moreover, the stress in the range of shaft shoulder is tensile stress that the maximum tensile stress is 242 MPa,and the stress in the outside of shaft shoulder is compressive stress that the maximum compressive stress is 25 MPa. The distribution of the tensile stress in the welding nugget zone( WNZ) is obviously bimodal, and the residual stress on the advancing side is higher than that on the retreating side. With the increasing of the welding speed, the maximum temperature decreased and the maximum residual stress decreased when the pin-wheel speed kept constant. These methods always meet dimension obstacles when dealing with complex problems. In this paper, a novel shakedown criterion is proposed employing actual residual stress field based on the static shakedown theorem. The actual residual stress field used here is produced under a specified load path, which is a sequence of proportional loading and unloading from zero to all the vertices of the given load domain. This ensures that the shakedown behavior in the whole load domain can be determined based on the theorem proposed by K6nig. The shakedown criterion is then implemented in numerical shakedown analysis, The actual residual stress fields are calculated by incremental finite element elastic-plastic analysis technique for finite deformation under the specified load path with different load levels. The shakedown behavior and the shakedown limit load are determined according to the proposed criterion. The validation of the criterion is performed by a benchmark shakedown example, which is a square plate with a central hole under biaxial loading. The results are consistent with existing results in the literatures and are validated by full cyclic elastic-plastic finite element analysis. The numerical shakedown analysis applying the proposed criterion avoids processing dimension obstacles and performing full cyclic elastic-plastic analysis under arbitrary load paths which should be accounted for appearing. The effect of material model and geometric changes on shakedown behavior can he considered conveniently.展开更多

The distributions of Tz are obtained near the crack front with aspect ratios (a/c) of 0.2, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0. Tz decreases from an approximate value of Poisson ratio v at the crack tip to zero with increasing normalized radial distances (r/a) in the normal plane of the crack front line, and increases gradually when the elliptical parameter angle φ changes from 0° to 90°at the same r/a. With a/c rising to 1.0, Tz is getting nearly independent of φ and is only related to r/a. Based on the present FE calculations for Tz, empirical formulas for Tz are obtained to describe the 3D distribution of Tz for embedded center-elliptical cracks using the least squares method in the range of 0.2 ≤ a/c ≤ 1.0. These Tz results together with the corresponding stress intensity factor K are well suitable for the analysis of the 3D embedded centerelliptical crack from field, and a two-parameter K-Tz principle is proposed.展开更多

The effect of material model and geometric changes on shakedown behavior can he considered conveniently.

文摘Based on genetic algorithm and neural network algorithm, the finite element analyses on the temperature fields and stress fields of multi-track laser cladding were carried out by using the ANSYS software. The results show that,in the multi-track cladding process, the temperature field ellipse leans to the cladding formed, and the front cladding has preheating function on the following cladding.During cladding, the longitudinal stress is the largest, the lateral stress is the second, and the thickness direction stress is the smallest. The center of the cladding is in the tensile stress condition. The longitudinal tensile stress is higher than the lateral or thickness direction stress by several times, and the tensile stress achieves the maximum at the area of joint between the cladding and substrate. Therefore,it is inferred that transversal crack is the most main crack form in multi-track laser cladding. Moreover, the joint between cladding and substrate is the crack sensitive area, and this is consistent with the actual experiments.

文摘Through detailed three-dimensional (3D) finite element (FE) calculations, the out-of-plane constraints Tz along embedded center-elliptical cracks in mode I elastic plates are studied. These Tz results together with the corresponding stress intensity factor K are well suitable for the analysis of the 3D embedded centerelliptical crack from field, and a two-parameter K-Tz principle is proposed.

文摘Numerical simulation concerning the forming and welding process of spiral welded pipe was conducted, which included three steps : the first step was the stress analysis when the spiral was formed, and then the stress was regarded as initial condition of melding during the temperature field analysis in the process of welding, the last step was the thermal stress analysis of the weld seam after the welding was over. Moreover, when the steel strip was pushed, the stress was also calculated by non-linearity contact technology using Abaqus Software. By finite element modeling and calculating of the forming and welding process of the spiral welded pipe, the key points of the multi-fields synthetic simulating were studied and discussed.
文摘DSS data of the last twenty years and more in the northern part of North China are further interpreted, and combined with other geological and geophysical data, the crustal model for the 3 D finite element method is built after straticulate crustal structure and elastic mechanics parameters are obtained. Referring to regional tectonic stress field and taking the effect of gravity into account, the paper constrains properly the model boundary and then computes the displacement of each nodal point and the strain and stress of each element by using the program from the 3 D linear elastic finite method. The relationship between the distribution feature of the crustal stress field and seismicity is discussed on the basis of analyzing contour maps of maximum principal compressive stress in the upper, middle and lower crusts.
