Then the supporting body may easily deform and fail because of its low strength in the early stage. This paper established the roadside support mechanical model of gob-side entry retaining. Based on this model,we proposed and used the soft–strong supporting body as roadside support in the gob-side entry retaining. In the early stage of roof movement, the soft–strong supporting body has a better compressibility, which can not only relieve roof pressure and strong impact load, but also reduce the supporting resistance and prevent the supporting body from being crushed. In the later stage, with the increase of the strength of the supporting body, it can better support the overlying roof. The numerical simulation results and industrial test show that the soft–strong supporting body as roadside support can be better applied into the gob-side entry retaining in deep coal seams threatened by rockburst.展开更多

The main components in TWCs are precious metals such as palladium (Pd), platinum (Pt), and rhodium (Rh) as the active component, and inorganic oxides such as γ-alumina (Al 2 O 3 ), ceria (CeO 2 ), zirconia (ZrO 2 ) and ceria-zirconia (CeO 2-ZrO 2 ) are used as the support. Interaction of precious metals and support plays an important role in the thermal stability and catalytic performance of TWCs. The support can improve the dispersion of precious metals and suppress the sintering of precious metals at high temperature. In the same, precious metals can also enhance the redox performance and oxygen storage capacity of support. This paper reviews the reaction phenomenon and mechanism of precious metals (Pt, Pd, Rh) and supports such as Al 2 O 3 , CeO 2-based composite oxides.展开更多

Promoters and supports have been introduced to prolong the catalyst life. However, it is still necessary to develop novel catalysts with robust stability. Herein, the phosphorus-modified carbon nanotube-supported Pt nanoparticles were employed for the PDH process. Phosphorus modification improves the Pt dispersion, effectively promoting the activity of Pt/P-CNTs. Additionally, the phosphorus-modified CNTs can interact strongly with Pt nanoparticles by improving the electron transfer or hybridization, stabilizing Pt nanoparticles from agglomeration, and significantly enhancing the catalyst stability.展开更多

The type of rock mass consisting of an interbedding of strong and weak layers poses difficulties and uncertainties for determining the RMR. For this, the present paper uses the concept of rock bolt supporting factor(RSF) for modification of RMR system to be used in such rock mass types. The proposed method also demonstrates the importance of rock bolting practice in such rock masses. The geological parameters of the Shemshak Formation of the Alborz Tunnel in Iran are used as case examples for development of the theoretical approach.展开更多
