Objectives:This study aimed to assess the feasibility of an online compassion training program for nursing students and preliminarily investigate its effects on mindfulness,self-compassion,and stress reduction.Methods...Objectives:This study aimed to assess the feasibility of an online compassion training program for nursing students and preliminarily investigate its effects on mindfulness,self-compassion,and stress reduction.Methods:This study employed a randomized controlled trial design.Second-year students from a nursing college in Guangzhou,China,were recruited as research participants in August 2023.The intervention group participated in an 8-week online compassion training program via the WeChat platform,comprising three stages:mindfulness(weeks 1e2),self-compassion(weeks 3e5),and compassion for others(weeks 6 e8).Each stage included four activities:psychoeducation,mindfulness practice,weekly diary,and emotional support.Program feasibility was assessed through recruitment and retention rates,program engagement,and participant acceptability.Program effectiveness was measured with the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale,Self-Compassion Scale-Short Form,and Perceived Stress Scale.Results:A total of 28 students completed the study(13 in the intervention group,15 in the control group).The recruitment rate was 36.46%,with a high retention rate of 93.3%.Participants demonstrated high engagement:69.2%accessed learning materials every 1e2 days,93.3%practiced mindfulness at least weekly,with an average of 4.69 diary entries submitted per person and 23.30 WeChat interactions with instructors.Regarding acceptability,all participants expressed satisfaction with the program,with 92.4%finding it“very helpful”or“extremely helpful.”In terms of intervention effects,the intervention group showed a significant increase in mindfulness levels from pre-intervention(51.54±10.93)to postintervention(62.46±13.58)(P<0.05),while no significant change was observed in the control group.Although there were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in post-intervention self-compassion and perceived stress levels,the intervention group showed positive trends:selfcompassion levels increased(35.85±8.60 vs.40.85±5.54),and perceived stress levels slightly decreased(44.77±8.65 vs.42.00±5.77).Conclusions:This pilot study demonstrated the feasibility of an online compassion training program for nursing students and suggested its potential effectiveness in enhancing mindfulness,self-compassion,and stress reduction.Despite limitations such as small sample size and lack of long-term follow-up,preliminary evidence indicates promising prospects for integrating such training into nursing education.Further research is warranted to confirm thesefindings and assess the sustained impact of this approach on nursing education and practice.展开更多

We conducted a monocentric cross-sectional analytical study, using a web-based anonymous survey, carried out among 558 undergraduate student and training doctors, randomly selected in the form of a survey on the knowledge towards Physical Medicine and rehabilitation. We received 558 survey duly completed by students of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Marrakech (62.4%) and training doctors (37.6%). The mean age of the participants was 24.53 ± 3.9 years, with extremes ranging from 17 to 39 years. 52.7% of the participants were from the former educational reform, The predominance of participation was remarkable among pediatricians 23%, The population who knew PRM was the majority (79.3%), 40.7% of the participants were unaware of the availability of a PRM department at Mohamed VI University Hospital, 0.5% of all training doctors and medical students questioned strongly agreed with the sufficiency of their training in disability management were belonging to the new reform, 84.1% of participants had never attended or referred a patient to the PRM department. 23.2% of training doctors affirmed the referral of patients to PRM for further management. Despite the essential role of PRM in the management of diseases, it remains little known by training doctors and medical students. This lack of knowledge of PRM reflects the lack of the undergraduate and postgraduate of the medical education in the field of rehabilitation.展开更多

Purpose:To assess the effectiveness of automated external defibrillator(AED)and manual external defibrillator(MED)training for third-year nurse students.Methods:We conducted post-demonstration and post-practice evalua...Purpose:To assess the effectiveness of automated external defibrillator(AED)and manual external defibrillator(MED)training for third-year nurse students.Methods:We conducted post-demonstration and post-practice evaluation for MED defibrillation,and pre-training,post-demonstration,and post-practice evaluation for AED defibrillation.Results:Following MED training,time and confidence to defibrillate were improved significantly post-practice(p<0.001,p<0.001,respectively).In post-demonstration and postpractice evaluation,most students placed electrodes correctly(84.21%vs.80.70%),cleared before defibrillation(75.44%vs.89.47%),and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation immediately after defibrillation(81.81%vs.94.44%);the evaluations were not statistically different(p=0.806,p=0.094,p=0.198,respectively).For AED training,time and confidence to defibrillate post-demonstration and post-practice were significantly improved(p<0.001 vs.p<0.001;p<0.001 vs.p<0.001,respectively)compared to that of pre-training;there was no obvious difference between the post-demonstration and postpractice evaluation(p=0.235,=0.346,respectively).Post-AED demonstration,most students could place electrodes correctly(85.96%),clear(91.23%),and perform CPR immediately after defibrillation(85.96%),which remained at a high level post-practice(94.74%,85.96%,82.46%,respectively);there was no significant difference between the two evaluations(p=0.203,p=0.557,p=0.776,respectively).Conclusion:Combining MED and AED defibrillation training is effective and feasible for third-year nurse students.Minimal training is effective for AED,while MED requires additional practice.展开更多

In the pre-test, there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group, and obvious difference between the two groups was found in the post-test. Methods The study was conducted in three senior high schools of Shangcai County with comparable socio-cultural, economic, and demographic characteristics, two as intervention sites and one as the control. A three-month life-planning skills training course was conducted among all grade one students in the intervention schools. The baseline survey was conducted prior to the intervention, once again three months after the intervention was initiated. Data were collected through questionnaires, FGDs and 1Dis to evaluate the effect of the intervention program. Results After the intervention, the median score of reproductive health knowledge was higher in the intervention group (55.66) than that in control group (38.68). Students from the intervention group were also more comfortable with their developmental changes which were going through, In the end line survey, 92.70% of the students in the intervention group suggested that reproductive health education should be carried out among all middle school students in Shangcai County. Multivariate analysis also indicated that peers and family had a significant effect on students' sex-related knowledge, attitudes and behaviors. Conclusion Sex and reproductive health education via provision of life-planning skills training can significantly increase students' sex and reproductive health knowl- edge and was welcomed by students, teachers and parents.展开更多

The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of collective education life skills on mental health and resilience of teachers in Zahedan. The population of the study included all teachers at schools with normal students and teachers at schools with exceptional students in Zahedan, among which 60 teachers at normal schools and 20 teachers at exceptional schools were selected and placed in two groups of experimental and control, respectively. Initially, members of the experimental group were taught 10 basic life skills in 10 2-hour sessions. Mental health and resilience questionnaires were distributed and gathered before and after the training sessions. Results indicated the positive effect of life skills training on mental health of teachers at schools with normal students and teachers at schools with exceptional students, which meant that the more the life skills training to teachers at schools with normal students and teachers at schools with exceptional students, the lower their mental health scores would be. Results also indicated the positive effect of life skills training on resilience of teachers at schools with normal students and teachers at schools with exceptional students, which meant that the more the life skills training to teachers at schools with normal students and teachers at schools with exceptional students, the higher their resilience scores would be.展开更多

The sample was included of 54 students with hearing impairment from inclusive school whom their age and IQ were matched. They were randomly divided into an experimental and a control group (27 students in each group). The participants were assessed by Coopersmith Self-esteem Inventory (58-items version). The gathered data were analysed using the t-test method through the SPSS package. The results showed that training life skills to students with hearing impairment promote their self-esteem. In other words, life skills training is effective for enhancing the self-esteem of hearing impaired students in inclusive schools.展开更多

Experimental research was used in this research. The subject was including 2,000 students who were randomly divided into groups of seven provinces. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage, average, standard deviation, and T-test. The research results showed that: (1) a training package to prepare secondary school students in northeastern of Thailand toward ASEAN Community, the effectiveness index (E.I.) was .57, according to the established criteria; (2) a comparison of pretest and post-test results found the use of cognitive training may vary, statistically significant at the .05 level; (3) an expectation of the secondary school students in the preparation of role into ASEAN Community found that the students who participated in a concept reflect that the knowledge and attitudes to prepare themselves for the ASEAN community.展开更多

Objective:This study is aimed to develop student simulated patient(SSP)training content and evaluation indicators,and further explores their validity and reliabilities.Methods:Delphi consultations with 20 nursing expe...Objective:This study is aimed to develop student simulated patient(SSP)training content and evaluation indicators,and further explores their validity and reliabilities.Methods:Delphi consultations with 20 nursing exper ts were conducted.The weights of indicators were calculated through the analytic hierarchy process.SSP training was conducted with a high-fidelity nursing simulation.Results:The expert positive coefficients were 0.952 in the first round consultation and 1.00 in the second round consultation.The expert authority coefficient was reported as 0.87.The training included role and responsibility of simulated patient(SP),script interpretation,plot performance,and training for a rater,with a total of 17 indicators.SSP evaluation consisted of disease knowledge,role portrayal,and performance fidelity and since being a rater,it consists of 20 indicators in total.The coordination coefficients of two rounds of consultation ranged from 0.530 to 0.918.The content validity of SSP evaluation indicators was 0.95.The inter-rater reliability was repor ted as 0.866,and the internal consistency established using Cronbach’sαwas 0.727.Conclusions:Students as SPs should have first-hand knowledge and experience within the simulated scenarios.SSP training content and evaluation indicators were determined through the Delphi consensus combined with analytic hierarchy process.The evaluation indicators were valid and reliable,and provided the objective and quantifiable measurements for SSP training in nursing。展开更多

文摘The project delves into the preliminary findings of a survey of both trainers and students on the practice of using student peer feedback in interpreting practice.It first explains the theoretical foundation which justifies the use of peer feedback in interpreting practice,the research methodology and data collection.Then it brings forth specific findings concerning the implementation of peer feedback in the interpreting class followed by discussions of the role and features of student peer feedback as a means to help students ready for the booth.Analysis of the results shows that peer feedback in interpreting practice keeps students on-task,attentive and help them spot their own problems.Trainers and students themselves point to similar features of student peer feedback as focusing on comprehension of the original,word choice and numbers.The preliminary findings of the survey demonstrate the roles and features of student peer feedback in interpreting practice and point to the possible way of enhancing student’s learning curve through more effective peer feedback.

文摘Purpose:To assess the effectiveness of automated external defibrillator(AED)and manual external defibrillator(MED)training for third-year nurse students.Methods:We conducted post-demonstration and post-practice evaluation for MED defibrillation,and pre-training,post-demonstration,and post-practice evaluation for AED defibrillation.Results:Following MED training,time and confidence to defibrillate were improved significantly post-practice(p<0.001,p<0.001,respectively).In post-demonstration and postpractice evaluation,most students placed electrodes correctly(84.21%vs.80.70%),cleared before defibrillation(75.44%vs.89.47%),and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation immediately after defibrillation(81.81%vs.94.44%);the evaluations were not statistically different(p=0.806,p=0.094,p=0.198,respectively).For AED training,time and confidence to defibrillate post-demonstration and post-practice were significantly improved(p<0.001 vs.p<0.001;p<0.001 vs.p<0.001,respectively)compared to that of pre-training;there was no obvious difference between the post-demonstration and postpractice evaluation(p=0.235,=0.346,respectively).Post-AED demonstration,most students could place electrodes correctly(85.96%),clear(91.23%),and perform CPR immediately after defibrillation(85.96%),which remained at a high level post-practice(94.74%,85.96%,82.46%,respectively);there was no significant difference between the two evaluations(p=0.203,p=0.557,p=0.776,respectively).Conclusion:Combining MED and AED defibrillation training is effective and feasible for third-year nurse students.Minimal training is effective for AED,while MED requires additional practice.
文摘A group training was conducted on 17 college students to improve their career decision-making self-efficacy (CDMSE). The result showed that there was significant difference between the pre-test and the post-test for the experimental group (n = 17), whereas no significant difference was found between the pre-test and the post- test for the control group (n = 17). In the pre-test, there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group, and obvious difference between the two groups was found in the post-test. This indicated that the group training was effective on improving the CDMSE of the college students whose scores of CDMSE were below 27% point of the total students.
文摘Objective To evaluate the impact of sex and reproductive health education using lifeplanning skills training among senior high school students in a rural county. Methods The study was conducted in three senior high schools of Shangcai County with comparable socio-cultural, economic, and demographic characteristics, two as intervention sites and one as the control. A three-month life-planning skills training course was conducted among all grade one students in the intervention schools. The baseline survey was conducted prior to the intervention, once again three months after the intervention was initiated. Data were collected through questionnaires, FGDs and 1Dis to evaluate the effect of the intervention program. Results After the intervention, the median score of reproductive health knowledge was higher in the intervention group (55.66) than that in control group (38.68). Students from the intervention group were also more comfortable with their developmental changes which were going through, In the end line survey, 92.70% of the students in the intervention group suggested that reproductive health education should be carried out among all middle school students in Shangcai County. Multivariate analysis also indicated that peers and family had a significant effect on students' sex-related knowledge, attitudes and behaviors. Conclusion Sex and reproductive health education via provision of life-planning skills training can significantly increase students' sex and reproductive health knowl- edge and was welcomed by students, teachers and parents.
文摘This is an experimental study conducted on two groups of control and experimental using pretestposttest design, applying psychological intervention on the study sample. The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of collective education life skills on mental health and resilience of teachers in Zahedan. The population of the study included all teachers at schools with normal students and teachers at schools with exceptional students in Zahedan, among which 60 teachers at normal schools and 20 teachers at exceptional schools were selected and placed in two groups of experimental and control, respectively. Initially, members of the experimental group were taught 10 basic life skills in 10 2-hour sessions. Mental health and resilience questionnaires were distributed and gathered before and after the training sessions. Results indicated the positive effect of life skills training on mental health of teachers at schools with normal students and teachers at schools with exceptional students, which meant that the more the life skills training to teachers at schools with normal students and teachers at schools with exceptional students, the lower their mental health scores would be. Results also indicated the positive effect of life skills training on resilience of teachers at schools with normal students and teachers at schools with exceptional students, which meant that the more the life skills training to teachers at schools with normal students and teachers at schools with exceptional students, the higher their resilience scores would be.
文摘This research investigates the effectiveness of life skills training on enhancing the self-esteem of 8-16 years-old students with hearing impairment in inclusive schools. The sample was included of 54 students with hearing impairment from inclusive school whom their age and IQ were matched. They were randomly divided into an experimental and a control group (27 students in each group). The participants were assessed by Coopersmith Self-esteem Inventory (58-items version). The gathered data were analysed using the t-test method through the SPSS package. The results showed that training life skills to students with hearing impairment promote their self-esteem. In other words, life skills training is effective for enhancing the self-esteem of hearing impaired students in inclusive schools.

文摘The purposes of this research were: (1) to create a training package to prepare secondary school students in northeastern of Thailand toward ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Community; (2) to compare the knowledge of secondary school students toward ASEAN before and after use training package; and (3) the expectations of the students in the northeast of their own preparation for the ASEAN community. Experimental research was used in this research. The subject was including 2,000 students who were randomly divided into groups of seven provinces. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage, average, standard deviation, and T-test. The research results showed that: (1) a training package to prepare secondary school students in northeastern of Thailand toward ASEAN Community, the effectiveness index (E.I.) was .57, according to the established criteria; (2) a comparison of pretest and post-test results found the use of cognitive training may vary, statistically significant at the .05 level; (3) an expectation of the secondary school students in the preparation of role into ASEAN Community found that the students who participated in a concept reflect that the knowledge and attitudes to prepare themselves for the ASEAN community.

文摘Objective:This study is aimed to develop student simulated patient(SSP)training content and evaluation indicators,and further explores their validity and reliabilities.Methods:Delphi consultations with 20 nursing exper ts were conducted.The weights of indicators were calculated through the analytic hierarchy process.SSP training was conducted with a high-fidelity nursing simulation.Results:The expert positive coefficients were 0.952 in the first round consultation and 1.00 in the second round consultation.The expert authority coefficient was reported as 0.87.The training included role and responsibility of simulated patient(SP),script interpretation,plot performance,and training for a rater,with a total of 17 indicators.SSP evaluation consisted of disease knowledge,role portrayal,and performance fidelity and since being a rater,it consists of 20 indicators in total.The coordination coefficients of two rounds of consultation ranged from 0.530 to 0.918.The content validity of SSP evaluation indicators was 0.95.The inter-rater reliability was repor ted as 0.866,and the internal consistency established using Cronbach’sαwas 0.727.Conclusions:Students as SPs should have first-hand knowledge and experience within the simulated scenarios.SSP training content and evaluation indicators were determined through the Delphi consensus combined with analytic hierarchy process.The evaluation indicators were valid and reliable,and provided the objective and quantifiable measurements for SSP training in nursing。
