Directed self-assembly(DSA)emerges as one of the most promising new patterning techniques for single digit miniaturization and next generation lithography.DSA achieves high-resolution patterning by molecular assembly ...Directed self-assembly(DSA)emerges as one of the most promising new patterning techniques for single digit miniaturization and next generation lithography.DSA achieves high-resolution patterning by molecular assembly that circumvents the diffraction limit of conventional photolithography.Recently,the International Roadmap for Devices and Systems listed DSA as one of the advanced lithography techniques for the fabrication of 3-5 nm technology node devices.DSA can be combined with other lithography techniques,such as extreme ultra violet(EUV)and 193 nm immersion(193i),to further enhance the patterning resolution and the device density.So far,DSA has demonstrated its superior ability for the fabrication of nanoscale devices,such as fin field effect transistor and bit pattern media,offering a variety of configurations for high-density integration and low-cost manufacturing.Over 1 T in-2 device density can be achieved either by direct templating or coupled with nanoimprinting to improve the throughput.The development of high x block copolymer further enhances the patterning resolution of DSA.In addition to its superiority in high-resolution patterning,the implementation ofDSA on a 300 mm pivot line fully demonstrates its potential for large-scale,high-throughput,and cost-effective manufacturing in industrial environment.展开更多

Especially, the motion search is required for each of the 4 modes for inter prediction. In order to reduce the computational complexity, we analyze the statistics of results of motion estimation, such as the continuity of best modes of blocks in successive frames and the chance to give up a sub-partition mode (smaller than 16 × 16) after integer-pixel motion estimation, from which we suggest to make mode prediction based on the motion information of the previous frame and skip sub-pixel motion estimation in subpartition mode selectively. According to the experimental result, the proposed algorithm can save 75 % of the computational time with a slight degradation (0.03 dB) on PSNR compared with the pseudocode of fast search motion estimation in JM12.2.展开更多

Based on P- and S-wave amplitudes and some clear initial P-wave motion data, we calculated focal mechanism solutions of 928 M≥2.5 earthquakes (1994-2005) in four sub-blocks of Sichuan and Yunnan Provinces, namely S...Based on P- and S-wave amplitudes and some clear initial P-wave motion data, we calculated focal mechanism solutions of 928 M≥2.5 earthquakes (1994-2005) in four sub-blocks of Sichuan and Yunnan Provinces, namely Sichuan-Qinghai, Yajiang, Central Sichuan and Central Yunnan blocks. Combining these calculation results with those of the focal mechanism solutions of moderately strong earthquakes, we analyzed the stress field characteristics and dislocation types of seismogenic faults that are distributed in the four sub-blocks. The orientation of principal compressive stress for each block is: EW in Sichuan-Qinghai, ESE or SE in Yajiang, Central Sichuan and Central Yunnan blocks. Based on a great deal of focal mechanism data, we designed a program and calculated the directions of the principal stress tensors, σ1, σ2 and σ3, for the four blocks. Meanwhile, we estimated the difference (also referred to as consistency parameter θ^- ) between the force axis direction of focal mechanism solution and the direction of the mean stress tensor of each block. Then we further analyzed the variation of θ^- versus time and the dislocation types of seismogenic faults. Through determination of focal mechanism solutions for each block, we present information on the variation in θ^- value and dislocation types of seismogenic faults.展开更多
Primary toppling usually occurs in layered rock slopes with large anti-dip angles.In this paper,the block toppling evolution was explored using a large-scale centrifuge system.Each block column in the layered model sl...Primary toppling usually occurs in layered rock slopes with large anti-dip angles.In this paper,the block toppling evolution was explored using a large-scale centrifuge system.Each block column in the layered model slope was made of cement mortar.Some artificial cracks perpendicular to the block column were prefabricated.Strain gages,displacement gages,and high-speed camera measurements were employed to monitor the deformation and failure processes of the model slope.The centrifuge test results show that the block toppling evolution can be divided into seven stages,i.e.layer compression,formation of major tensile crack,reverse bending of the block column,closure of major tensile crack,strong bending of the block column,formation of failure zone,and complete failure.Block toppling is characterized by sudden large deformation and occurs in stages.The wedge-shaped cracks in the model incline towards the slope.Experimental observations show that block toppling is mainly caused by bending failure rather than by shear failure.The tensile strength also plays a key factor in the evolution of block toppling.The simulation results from discrete element method(DEM)is in line with the testing results.Tensile stress exists at the backside of rock column during toppling deformation.Stress concentration results in the fragmented rock column and its degree is the most significant at the slope toe.展开更多

The objective of this work was to assess the effectiveness of thi...Context: Subparaneural injection (under the nerve sheath) has reduced the onset of action and the effectiveness of local anesthetics in sciatic blocks. The objective of this work was to assess the effectiveness of this technique in axillary blocks in two hospitals in France and Gabon. Method: From January 1 to February 28, 2019, patients were included for upper limb surgery under xylocaine or Ropivacaine. The installation time, effectiveness, occurrence of paresthesia, and vascular breaches were assessed. Results: 141 patients were included, mostly male (64.55%), with an ASA 1 score (46.1%), hand surgery predominated (95%) most often performed as scheduled surgery (68.1%). Block was performed by the anesthesiologist in 39% of patients and by the anesthesiologist student in 61% of patients. The success rate was 88.66% with an installation time of 15 min, some paresthesias were noted. Despite the lack of expertise from a Gabonese hospital center, the data were compared to the literature. Conclusion: Ultrasound-guided subparaneural injection axillary block is an effective, safe technique with a rapid learning curve.展开更多
The poor corrosion and wear resistances of Mg alloys seriously limit their potential applications in various industries.The conventional epoxy coating easily forms many intrinsic defects during the solidification proc...The poor corrosion and wear resistances of Mg alloys seriously limit their potential applications in various industries.The conventional epoxy coating easily forms many intrinsic defects during the solidification process,which cannot provide sufficient protection.In the current study,we design a double-layer epoxy composite coating on Mg alloy with enhanced anti-corrosion/wear properties,via the spin-assisted assembly technique.The outer layer is functionalized graphene(FG)in waterborne epoxy resin(WEP)and the inner layer is Ce-based conversion(Ce)film.The FG sheets can be homogeneously dispersed within the epoxy matrix to fill the intrinsic defects and improve the barrier capability.The Ce film connects the outer layer with the substrate,showing the transition effect.The corrosion rate of Ce/WEP/FG composite coating is 2131 times lower than that of bare Mg alloy,and the wear rate is decreased by~90%.The improved corrosion resistance is attributed to the labyrinth effect(hindering the penetration of corrosive medium)and the obstruction of galvanic coupling behavior.The synergistic effect derived from the FG sheet and blocking layer exhibits great potential in realizing the improvement of multi-functional integration,which will open up a new avenue for the development of novel composite protection coatings of Mg alloys.展开更多
BACKGROUND Ultrasound guide technology,which can provide real-time visualization of the needle tip and tissues and avoid many adverse events,is widely used in mini-mally invasive therapy.However,the studies on ultraso...BACKGROUND Ultrasound guide technology,which can provide real-time visualization of the needle tip and tissues and avoid many adverse events,is widely used in mini-mally invasive therapy.However,the studies on ultrasound-guided Lateral recess block(LRB)are limited,this is probably because there is no recognized standard method for ultrasound scanning.This study aimed to evaluate the effect of ultrasound-guided LRB in patients with lateral recess stenosis(LRS).CASE SUMMARY A 65-year-old patient complained of low back pain accompanied occasionally by pain and numbness in the left lower limb.Physical examination showed ten-derness on the spinous process and paraspinal muscles from L1 to S1,extensor hallucis longus and tibialis anterior weakness(muscle strength:4-),and a positive straight leg raising test in the left lower limb(60°).Magnetic resonance imaging showed L4–L5 disc degeneration with left LRS and nerve root entrapment.Subsequently,the patient was diagnosed with LRS.This patient was treated with a novel ultrasound-guided LRB approach.The patient’s symptoms significantly improved without any complications at 1 wk postoperatively and at the 3-month follow-up.CONCLUSION This is the first report on the LRS treatment with ultrasound-guided LRB from the contralateral spinous process along the inner side of the articular process by out-plane technique.Further studies are expected to investigate the efficacy and safety of ultrasound-guided LRB for patients with LRS.展开更多

A pre-proce...Background: Sub arachnoid block (SAB) performed by traditional landmark palpation technique can be inaccurate. This problem is exacerbated by altered patient anatomy due to obesity and age-related changes. A pre-procedural ultrasound scan of the lumbar spine has been shown to be of benefit in guiding lumbar epidural insertion in obstetric patients. Information on the use of real-time ultrasound (RUS) guided SAB, to date, been limited. This study compared RUS guided SAB to traditional landmark guided technique in patients undergoing spinal anesthesia for different surgical procedures. Methods: This was a prospective, single center, comparative observational study conducted in the department of anesthesiology at our center. 560 patients who underwent spinal anesthesia either by landmark based technique or real-time ultrasound-guided methods. The primary outcome was the first attempt success rate of dural puncture when employing the two methods. Results: Baseline characteristics were similar in the two study groups. The first attempt success rate of dural puncture in landmark guided group was 64.3% compared to 72.6% in the ultrasound guided group. This difference was not statistically significant. The procedure performance time was significantly shorter with landmark palpation compared to use of real-time ultrasound guided method. Conclusion: Use of RUS-guided technique does not significantly improve the first attempt success rate of SAB dural puncture during spinal anesthesia compared to the traditional landmark-guided technique.展开更多
