Research on Cultural Consumption and Urban Integration of Floating Population

This paper examined the relationship between cultural consumption and the floating population’s integration into host cities based on data from China’s Seventh National Population Census and the 2018 China Migrants Dynamic Survey(CMDS).The findings indicate that improving the floating population’s consumption level and quality,especially the quality of development-oriented cultural consumption,can significantly improve the level of their integration.Moreover,development-oriented cultural consumption has a positive effect on the floating population’s integration and social participation,while entertainment-oriented cultural consumption facilitates their integration mainly by improving their sense of well-being.These findings could guide policymakers in developing targeted cultural consumption policies,implementing specific regional industry adjustments,and expanding domestic consumption demand.

Cultural Complex Design from the Perspective of Urban Renewal: A Case Study of Incheon Geomdan Cultural Complex in South Korea

Urban development should rely on the form of architecture,and incorporating urban planning concepts into architectural design can better assist urban construction.Taking the design of Incheon Geomdan Cultural Complex in South Korea as an example,this paper analyzes how to reflect urban planning elements in architectural design,and studies the role and value of cultural complex architecture in urban development from multiple perspectives such as culture,ecological environment,and public space.It hopes to gain more research and design ideas to promote the development of cultural industries in the region,leverage the advantages of regional cultural formats,and create new cultural settlements in cities.

Combination of Local Culture and Landscape in Urban Plaza Design——A Case Study of Yingmeng Plaza Design in Zitong County, Mianyang City of China

Taking the design of Yingmeng Plaza in Zitong County, Mianyang City for example, location feature and overall design objective were analyzed on the basis of design background. By analyzing the theme of Yingmeng Plaza, design principles were proposed as "based on overall functions, fully considering users' needs, showing characteristics of a tourist city and cultural city". Guided by the overall planar layout, the whole plaza was classified into 5 functional areas to highlight its landscape structure of "four centers, four axes, two districts and two belts". By following the concept of "Beginning of a dream- Expectations of the dream-Transition of the dream-Dream coming true", and considering theme and design principles of Yingmeng Plaza, design concepts of its major scenic spots were elaborated.

Study on Guidance of Users’Point of View to Construction of Urban Park in China——Inspiration by "Reflection on Urban Park:Public Space and Multi-culture"

New idea studying urban parks was opened up by "Reflection on Urban Park:Public Space and Multi-culture". By introducing anthropology into planning and design methodology of urban public space, it provided a new research method for the planning of urban park in our country. Through introduction and assessment of the book, existing problems and suggestions of the construction of our urban parks were proposed. In the perspective of urban parks' users, by the method of ethnology and anthropology, cultural diversity of urban public space would be investigated, paying attention to the usage behavior and different cultural characteristics, thinking about how to respect ecology and environmental construction of parks and coordinate the relation between culture and ecology while cultural diversity was respected. What should be considered in the construction of urban parks was not only culture but also ecological environment protection when culture was respected and citizens' interests during environment construction. These were also the fundamental problems needed to be considered and solved in parks' planning, construction and operation.

Regional cultural patterns and characteristics play a positive role in economic and social development.By planning and constructing cultural amenities and creating cultural scenes,the spatial quality and quality of life in a region can be enhanced,facilitating the expansion of cultural consumption.Shaanxi,with its rich historical and cultural resources,positions the capital city of Xi’an as a“world historical city”,boasting a vast number of cultural amenities represented by“cultural facilities”,“cultural activities”,“cultural experiences”,and“cultural services”.The development of urban cultural scene,with the aim of promoting the upgrading of regional cultural consumption in Shaanxi,requires comprehensive planning and a multifaceted approach,particularly in integrating provincial cultural scenes,clarifying the positioning of cultural scenes,innovating cultural scene experience projects,creating cultural scene intellectual property(IP),and empowering cultural scenes through the application of science and technology.

Urban Cultural Excavation and Reconstruction in the Perspective of Cultural Interaction:An Example of Modern Counter-Industrial Development on the Suzhou Riverbank

Urban culture,as the core force of urban development,has been explored more deeply in the process of modern urban transformation and construction.However,cities have their own unique memories,and cultural continuity and heritage require further innovation.The Suzhou River was the center of Shanghai’s initial development and carries an important cultural heritage.In 1996,Shanghai launched the comprehensive environmental improvement of the Suzhou River,which has achieved the reverse industrialization of the Suzhou River through the fine management of the city,and has made a good achievement of urban management and a new culture of the Suzhou River.This paper takes,Shanghai,a maritime city,as the background,takes the management of Suzhou River as the entry point to explore the new path of building urban culture in the new era,and studies the cultural significance contained in the fine management of modern cities.

What Culture in European Cities?The Desperate Struggle of European Cultures against the American One

For a long time,American culture has been spreading and replacing other European cultures.This is a significant change.According to the French writer Régis Debray,images are replacing writing,the theme of happiness is replacing drama,and space is replacing time.Additionally,according to the German sociologist Max Weber,Protestantism has made Americans"ascetic inside the world,"meaning individuals are solely responsible for their own well-being and success in society.The idea of"collective grace"is suspect.In urban life,there is a void that is filled by tribalism,such as sports,music,and events.Unfortunately,in urban planning,public spaces for people to gather,like parks or public squares,are often neglected.Water and green spaces could be valuable resources in filling this void.However,there is a potential risk of private brands taking over placemaking.

Yinchuan: The Nature, Culture, Planning Policies and Urban Development

While Yinchuan is not a typical city in China,the process by which its environment,culture and policies have affected its development is typical.The process of urban expansion in Yinchuan reflects the urban development of China in general (or a mirror can reflect China’s development history and policies evolution).Industrial development,local policy orientation,the natural environment,and other factors have both accelerated and restrained the direction and rate of expansion experienced by Yinchuan.The future urban development of Yinchuan can be conducted from three perspectives,including its city planning,and from regional and international perspectives.These perspectives should be applied to encourage city betterment and ecological restoration,new-type urbanization and rural revitalization,regional coordination and cooperation,healthy,livable,intelligent development,and a culturally inclusive atmosphere.

Urban Public Space Development in Harbin Driven by Music Culture Intervention

As one of the important big cities in northeastern China, Harbin enjoys the reputation of "The Music City", and its public space development is inextricably linked with the driving of music culture. This paper started with the analysis of the correlation between the development of urban public spaces and the development of music culture in Harbin, and studied the influence and driving role of music culture on the construction and development of urban public spaces.

Shanghai "Maker" Urban Culture Construction in the Context of Big Cloud Movement

Shanghai should orient its development to becoming a global science and technology innovation center. This paper analyzed the relationship between Big Cloud Movement and " Maker",and the necessities for cultivating " Maker" urban culture to building Shanghai global scientific and technological innovation center. On this basis,it elaborated and analyzed how to integrate the Maker Culture into Shanghai urban culture. Finally,it came up with recommendations for establishing Shanghai " Maker" urban culture.

Growth and Function of Urban Cultural Space Seen from Guangfu Morning Tea Culture

Morning tea culture taking Guangzhou as the core and the Pearl River Delta as the traffic area is taken as the research object.The evolution of the way of morning tea is analyzed,and internal and external conditions for the formation of urban cultural space are analyzed,and the growth and function of urban cultural space are explored.Through theoretical sampling method and grounded theory method,taking social media views as data source,the dimensions of the cultural space of Guangfu morning tea are explored,and the dimensions involved in the construction of cultural space of Guangfu morning tea are discussed,and the relationship between the cultural space of morning tea and human being is understood,to better explore how to construct the cultural space of morning tea,and find out the growth dimension of urban cultural space.The growth and function of urban cultural space are examined from the perspective of urban cultural space,thereby providing suggestions for the development of urban cultural space.

From material,spiritual,institutional and behavioral aspects,Shanghai sand junk culture and Shanghai urban culture were studied,and the relationship between the two was analyzed.It is found that there are similarities and individualities between Shanghai sand junk culture and Shanghai urban culture,and the two are closely compatible.

The Culture of Resilience： Providing Solutions for Urban Space Vulnerability to Recurrent Unfavourable Climatic Phenomena

Urban spaces vulnerable to recurrent adverse climatic phenomena present specific, consecutive problems, requiring a reflective view of their socio-spatial reality. This article presents a case study about the towns of Amadora, Greater Lisbon, and Petr6polis, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil, which, originally, bore a common Portuguese urbanistic praxis. Their urban contexts are characterized by the occurrence of extreme risks of flooding and landslides caused by intense rainfall. Both places feature aggravation of the risks due to accelerated urban growth and disorderly land occupation. From the phenomenological perspective, what happens to the human being leads to fruitful and/or dramatic experiences. The important point is that there occurs learning for favourable action, with solutions for each individual and for ＂the other＂. Thus, it is proposed to qualitatively analyse, with a posture that values the community experience and urban practices of the towns that contribute to the development of the culture of resilience which promotes practices of prevention, precaution and vigilance founded on the experience of communities that have been exposed. Besides this, it is intended to verify challenges in the implementation of public policies aimed at sustainable urban development, those that contemplate, among others： risk management action to deal with natural disasters.

The Transformation and Governance of Urban Villages with Historic Culture:A Case Study of Xiaxifang,Yongfeng County,Ji'an City,Jiangxi Province

The transformation and governance of urban villages with historic culture is faced with difficulties such as lack of attention and large-scale demolition and construction,which is not conducive to the continuation of urban characteristic culture.Taking Xiaxifang,Yongfeng County,Ji'an City,Jiangxi Province for example,this study explored the transformation and governance of urban villages with historic culture from the perspectives of spatial structure,urban function,infrastructure,ecological environment,and community governance,so as to provide a reference for the research and practice of urban villages with historic culture.

Exploring Regional Ecological Cultures in the Upper Reaches of the Yellow River in the Ming and Qing Dynasties from the Perspective of "Top Eight Views"

By studying typical "Top Eight Views" in cities like Xining,Lanzhou and Yinchuan in the upper reaches of the Yellow River,mountain and water landscapes in the study area were analyzed in terms of natural ecology;bridges,canals,ferries,pavilions,mansions,towers,temples,historical sites,production and living landscapes were analyzed in terms of humanistic ecology.On this basis,"Top Eight Views" in the upper reaches of the Yellow River were compared and the following conclusions obtained:mountain landscapes were distributed in the whole region,waterscapes unevenly valued in different cities,bridges,canals and ferries mostly located in Ningxia,temples commonly found in all cities,garden arts introduced into cities,traditional cultures carried forward by historical relics.Then the relationship between "Top Eight Views" and regional eco-cultures was analyzed,and it was proposed that humanistic and cultural connotations of these "Top Eight Views" contributed a lot to beautifying urban environment,satisfying needs of the locals' spiritual life,carrying forward local history and culture,enriching urban cultural connotations,expanding living spaces of local residents and improving integrated functions of cities."Top Eight Views" culture complied with the construction gist of urban ecological cultures,and was of great referential value for the construction of urban ecological cultures in the upper reaches of the Yellow River,and also the healthy,scientific and sustainable development of local cities.
