The flow field profile has a significant impact on the temperature distribution and passenger comfort level. Experimental studies on flow field can yield accurate results but carry a high time and computational cost. In contrast, the numerical simulation method can yield an internal flow field profile in less time than an experimental study. This study aims to improve the computational efficiency of numerical simulation by adapting two simplified models—the porous media model and the porous jump face model—to study the internal flow field of a railroad car compartment. The results provided by both simplified models are compared with the original numerical simulation model and with experimental data. Based on the results, the porous media model has a better agreement with the original model and with the experimental results. The flow field parameters (temperature and velocity) of the porous media model have relatively small numerical errors, with a maximum numerical error of 4.7%. The difference between the numerical results of the original model and those of the porous media model is less than 1%. By replacing the original numerical simulation model with the porous media model, the flow field of subway car compartments can be calculated with a reduction of about 25% in computing resources, while maintaining good accuracy.展开更多

One of the most challenging issues encountered by engineers is the construction of subway stations as large underground spaces at shallow depth with soft surrounding soils. In this paper, Naghshe Jahan Square subway station located in Isfahan, Iran, has been simulated by geomechanical fnite difference method(FDM). This station is located under important historical structures. Therefore, the ground displacement and surface settlement induced by the excavation of the subway station should be strictly controlled. Many of such problems are affected by selected excavation method. For these reasons, different underground excavation methods associated with construction have been studied. In this study, sequential excavation method and large-diameter curved pipe roofng method are used and the numerical results of the two methods are compared. The presence of groundwater table obliges us to choose special techniques for the stability of the ground around the subway station during construction; hence compressed air and ground freezing techniques are utilized in the simulations of the subway station. Finally, after choosing appropriate support systems, the large-diameter curved pipe roofng method with 1.5 m spacing between curved pipes is proposed.展开更多

The dynamic thermal comfort evaluation model RWI(relative warmth index) and HDR(heat deficit rate) were built on the distinguishing features of public area in subway station. Taking one representative subway station in Nanjing as the research object, the thermal comfort conditions in different seasons and different parts were studied by field tests, questionnaires and model-evaluating. The calculated RWI shows that although the thermal comfort in Nanjing metro is relatively acceptable, ideal thermal comfort has not been achieved. And it is found that associated with predicted mean vote(PMV), using RWI can evaluate the thermal comfort more precisely.展开更多

The conclusions are as follows. When the drills are near the seashore(less than 50m) and the backfilled formation has a large permeability coefficient(the backfilled components being coarse particles), the Quaternary pore water is connected with the seawater and there is correlation between the two. When the drills are far from the seashore(more than 50m) or the backfilled formation has a small permeability coefficient, there is no correlation between the two. When the drills are near the seashore(less than 50 m) with developed bedrock fissure, the bedrock fissure water is connected with the seawater and there is correlation between the two. When the drills are far from the seashore(more than 50m), or when the bedrock fissure is undeveloped, there is no correlation between the two. There exists an aquifer(mainly marine muddy silt clay layers and partially silt clay layers) between the Quaternary pore water and the bedrock fissure water, which blocks the connectivity between the two. Consequently, there is no correlation.展开更多

文摘The internal flow field study of car compartments is an important step in railroad vehicle design and optimization. By replacing the original numerical simulation model with the porous media model, the flow field of subway car compartments can be calculated with a reduction of about 25% in computing resources, while maintaining good accuracy.

The presence of groundwater table obliges us to choose special techniques for the stability of the ground around the subway station during construction; hence compressed air and ground freezing techniques are utilized in the simulations of the subway station. Finally, after choosing appropriate support systems, the large-diameter curved pipe roofng method with 1.5 m spacing between curved pipes is proposed.

文摘This paper focuses on the distribution of passenger flow in Huoying Station,Line 13 of Beijing subway system. The transformation measures taken by Line 13 since operation are firstly summarized. Then the authors elaborate the facilities and equipment of this station, especially the node layout and passenger flow field. An optimization scheme is proposed to rapidly distribute the passenger flow in Huoying Station by adjusting the operation time of the escalator in the direction of Xizhimen. The authors adopt Queuing theory and Anylogic simulation software to simulate the original and the optimized schemes of Huoying Station to distribute the passenger flow. The results of the simulation indicate that the optimized scheme could effectively alleviate the traffic congestion in the hall of Huoying Station, and the pedestrian density in other places of the hall is lowered;passengers could move freely in the hall and no new congestion points would form. The rationality of the scheme is thus proved.

文摘Under the background of Covid-19 sweeping the world, safe and reasonable passenger flow management strategy in subway stations is an effective means to prevent the spread of virus.Based on the social force model and the minimum cost model, the movement and path selection behavior of passengers in the subway station are modeled, and a strategy for passenger flow management to maintain a safe social distance is put forward.Take Qingdao Jinggangshan Road subway station of China as the simulation scene, the validity of the simulation model is verified by comparing the measured value and simulation value of the time required for passengers from getting off the train to the ticket gate.Simulation results indicate that controlling the time interval between incoming passengers at the entrance can effectively control the social distance between passengers and reduce the risk of epidemic infection.By comparing the evacuation process of passengers under different initial densities,it is found that the greater the initial density of passengers is,the longer the passengers are at risk social distance. In the process of passenger emergency evacuation, the stairs/escalators and ticket gates are bottleneck areas with high concentration of passenger density, which should be strictly disinfected many times on the basis of strictly checking the health code of incoming passengers and controlling the arrival time interval. The simulation results of this paper verify the harmfulness of passenger emergency evacuation without protective measures, and provide theoretical support for the operation and management of subway station under the epidemic situation.

文摘Much effort has been made in investigating the seismic response and failure mechanism of rectangular subway stations, however, the influence of earth retaining systems has generally been ignored in previous studies. This paper presents a numerical study on the seismic performance of a rectangular subway station with/without earth retaining systems by taking fender piles as the example, and aims to illustrate how the existence of fender piles affects seismic responses on subway stations. The loading conditions of subway stations and their surrounding soils prior to earthquakes are discussed.Next, seismic responses of subway stations with or without fender piles were simulated.Afterward,earthquake-induced deformations of stations and surrounding soils,as well as the internal forces and damage modes of the structural components, were systematically studied.Consequently, the seismic performance of the stations was affected by the existence of fender piles. In addition, earthquake intensity is illustrated. The study showed that deformation modes of surrounding soils and damage modes of stations were different with regard to the existence of fender piles.Meanwhile, earthquake intensity influencing the seismic performance of stations with or without fender piles were found to be opposite.
文摘We analyzed the characteristics of subway station environment and the change of thermal comfort for passengers when they are in and out of the station. And it is found that associated with predicted mean vote(PMV), using RWI can evaluate the thermal comfort more precisely.

文摘In this paper, the correlation between different groundwater in the study area is analyzed by using the hydrological data from the hydrogeological test holes and the long-term observation holes based on the hydrogeological data between the Jinggangshan Road Station and the Jianianhua Station on the Qingdao Subway Line R3. Consequently, there is no correlation.
