Objective: To measure the hospital operation efficiency, study the correlation between average length of stay and hospital operation efficiency, analyze the importance of shortening average length of stay to the impro...Objective: To measure the hospital operation efficiency, study the correlation between average length of stay and hospital operation efficiency, analyze the importance of shortening average length of stay to the improvement of the hospital operation efficiency and put forward relevant policy suggestion. Methods: Based on China provincial panel data from 2003 to 2012, the hospital operation efficiencies are calculated using Super Efficiency Data Envelopment Analysis model, and the correlation between average length of stay and hospital operation efficiency is tested using Spearman rank correlation coefficient test. Results: From 2003 to 2012, the average of national hospital operation efficiency was increasing slowly and the hospital operations were inefficient in most of the areas. The national hospital operation efficiency is negatively correlated to the average length of stay. Conclusion: Measures should be taken to set average length of stay in a scientific and reasonable way, improve social and economic benefits based on the improvement of efficiency.展开更多
More and more enterprises are outsourcing activities that are neither cost efficient if done in-house nor central to their businesses. Most of the studies in outsourcing decision making focus on vendor selection. Howe...More and more enterprises are outsourcing activities that are neither cost efficient if done in-house nor central to their businesses. Most of the studies in outsourcing decision making focus on vendor selection. However, little research has been done about location selection, which is also a critical step in offshore service outsourcing. The purpose of this paper is to offer a new method to deal with the destination selection problem in China. We employed the additive SE-DEA model to overcome the drawbacks of traditional DEA and SE-DEA methods, and calculated the relative efficiency of 20 service outsourcing model cities(excluding Xiamen). Based on two years of longitudinal study, we made a comparison of the 20 cities. Finally we classified the model cities by combining them with the service outsourcing ability dimension and also gave some selection suggestions and development suggestions for outsourcers' outsourcing service and the model cities, respectively.展开更多
According to the situation of real estate industry in different provinces and cities,the benefit is different,and the benefit of real estate industry in some regions is low.Based on the statistical data of real estate...According to the situation of real estate industry in different provinces and cities,the benefit is different,and the benefit of real estate industry in some regions is low.Based on the statistical data of real estate industry in various regions,this paper selects nine indicators,such as the number of enterprises,the average number of employees,the land purchase area(10000 square meters)in this year,to evaluate and analyze the benefit of real estate industry in 31 regions of China by using two-stage super efficiency model.The results show that the input-output of the real estate industry in 17 regions is effective,and the remaining 14 regions are DEA ineffective.The reasons for the inefficiency of the input-output are analyzed,and some suggestions to improve the efficiency are given.展开更多
