[Objective] This study aimed to investigate the differences in chemical composition of supercritical CO2 extraction products in peels of Trichosanthes kirilowii Maxim. from Changqing district. [Method] Supercritical fluidextraction (SFE) and GCMS method were applied to determine and analyze the chemical components of the extracts in peels of three strains of Trichosanthes kirilowii Maxim. [Result] The chemical components of supercritical CO2 extraction products in peels of three strains of Trichosanthes kirilowii Maxim. varied., and the number of chemical components with normalized percentage content higher than 1% was 5, 7 and 8, respectively. There are 14 kinds of common components, and the relative content of hexadecanoic acid was the highest. [Conclusion] Supercritical CO2 extracts in peels of different strains of Trichosanthes kirilowii Maxim. contain different chemical components, providing scientific basis for breeding excellent varieties and the development and utilization of Trichosanthes kirilowii Maxim. 展开更多

Extraction of the Ligusticum Chuanxiong oil with supercritical CO2 (SC-CO2) was investigated at the temperatures ranging from 55℃ to 70℃ and pressure from 25 MPa to 35 MPa. The mass of Ligusticum Chuanxiong oil extracted increased with pressure at constant temperature. The initial slope of the extraction was considered as the solubility of oil in SC-CO2. Chrastil equation was used to correlate the solubility data of Ligusticum Chuanxiong oil. An improved Chrastil equation was also presented and was employed to correlate the solubility data, The correlation results show that the values of the average absolute relative deviation are 5.94% and 3.33% respectively, indicating the improved version has better correlation accuracy than that of Chrastil equation. 展开更多

The effects of the secondary gradient crystallizing pressure, temperature and time on the purity and crystallization ratio of andrographolide were investigated via single factor experiments. The shape of crystal was observed with scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The purity of andrographolide was determined by high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC). It was found that the optimized parameters were pressure 14 MPa, temperature 55℃, time 60 min, and CO2 flow rate 15 L min-1, under these conditions the particle of andrographolide was much smaller, the crystal of andrographolide was distributed in floccule on crystal board,with the purity of andrographolide 92.5%, the crystallization ratio 48.9%. 展开更多

An experimental setup for separating ginger essential oil by supercritical fluid extraction is established. The effects of the extraction pressure, temperature, CO2 flow rate and particle size of raw material on the extraction rate are investigated, and the optimum process conditions of supercritical CO2 extraction are determined. A mathematical simulation model is established based on the mass conservation in differential units of extraction bed. The total mass transfer driving force and the equilibrium absorption constant are evaluated by the linear driving force theory. The measurement was carried out in a cylindrical autoclave with a moveable piston and a window for adjustment and observation of phase equilibria at given T and p. The samples were taken from two coexisting phases and were analyzed to obtain their compositions. It is shown that the solubility of SC CO2 in ethanol increases drastically with pressures at the given temperature, but the content of ethanol in CO2-rich phase increase faintly. 展开更多

A supercritical CO2 gas turbine cycle can produce power at high efficiency and the gas turbine is compact compared with the steam turbine. Therefore, it is very advantageous power cycle for the medium temperature range less than 650 ℃. The purpose of this paper is to show how it can be effectively applied not only to the nuclear power but also to the fossil fired power plant. A design of 300 MWe plant has been carried out, where thermal energy of flue gas leaving a CO2 heater is utilized effectively by means of economizer and a high cycle thermal efficiency of 43.4 % has been achieved. Since the temperature and the pressure difference of the CO2 heater are very high, the structural design becomes very difficult. It is revealed that this problem can be effectively solved by introducing a double expansion turbine cycle. The component designs of the CO2 heater, the economizer, supercritical CO2 turbines, compressors and the recuperators are given and it is shown that these components have good performances and compact sizes. 展开更多

Four commercially available chelating agents, diethylammonium diethyldithiocarbamate(Et2NH2DDC), trifluoroacetylacetone(TFA), hexafluoroacetylacetone(HFA) and thenoyltrifluoroacetone(TTA) were tested. The extraction experiments were conducted at 50 °C and 1.39×107― 2.80×107 Pa. According to the experimental results, for the extraction of Cu2+, all the chelating agents investigated here are effective. For other metal ions, such as Pb2+, Ni2+ and Cd2+, Et2NH2DDC exhibited a better extraction result, while other chelating agents were less effective. This investigation is expected to provide a tentative evaluation on the scCO2-based metal extraction from solid media. 展开更多

The experiment was conducted to investigate the heat transfer performance of supercritical CO_2 in a casing heat exchanger by comparing their heat transfer,entropy production unit number,non-dimensional entropy production rate and field synergy factor.The results show that both heat transfer and entropy production unit number in four tubes decrease with water temperature increasing.Heat transfer and entropy production unit number in multiple tubes( i. e.,triple straight tube and double helix tube) is higher than their single counterparts; the non-dimensional entropy production rate increases with water temperature. Non-dimensional entropy production rate of triple straight tube and double helix tube is far below the single tube. Field synergy factor of double helix tube is much higher than that of the triple straight tube under the same condition. Further experiment was carried out in double helix tube,under various CO_2 pressure and inlet water temperature,the results are analyzed and reported in this paper. 展开更多

The porosity showed a tendency of increasing to a maximum and then decreasing with an increase of temperature, CO2 pressure or PS concentration. In the present work, we investigated the effect of Mucuna deeringiana defatted bran on seed germination of soybean (Glycine max L. Merrill). For this, the defatted bran was obtained from different operational conditions using CO2 under pressurized conditions as solvent. Oil extractions were carried out in a laboratorial scale unit at temperatures ranging from 310 to 330 K, pressure from 15 to 25 MPa and solvent flow set in 3 mL min^-1. The experiment was conducted in a germination chamber (25℃, 12:12 h light:dark photoperiod), and the germination rate and germination speed index (GSI) were evaluated for seven days. The results showed that the oil extraction with supercritical CO2 concentrates the allelochemical L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-DOPA) in bran with levels from 1.86% to 4.65%. Subsequent experiments revealed that the rate of soybean seed germination was not affected by defatted bran whereas the GSI increased significantly after treatment. In brief, we concluded that the extraction process with supercritical CO2 is efficient to obtain L-DOPA of Mucuna, which influences the soybean seed germination. 展开更多

The strontium ions extracted from the aqueous phase into 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide(C_2mimNTf2) with dicyclohexyl-18-crown-6(DCH18C6) was stripped effectively by supercritical CO_2(sc-CO_2).Hexafluoroacetylacetone(HFAA)-acetonitrile was found to be an excellent modifier of sc-CO_2 to enhance the stripping efficiency.In the orthogonal array design(OAD),OA_(25)(5~5)matrix was employed to optimize the stripping of Sr(Ⅱ) from the DCH 18C6-C_2mimNTf_2 system.Effects of five experimental factors:temperature,pressure,concentration of HFAA,static and dynamic extraction times as well as each factor at five-levels on the stripping of Sr(Ⅱ) were optimized.The effects of these parameters were treated by the analysis of variance(ANOVA).The results showed that Sr(II) could be nearly 100%extracted from the IL phase at 308 K,30 MPa,40 min of dynamic extraction and 60 mmol·L^(-1) HFAA in acetonitrile,respectively.Finally,the stripping mechanism was studied by ESI-MS. 展开更多

Technologies for utilizing waste heat for power generation have attracted significant attention in recent years due to their potential to enhance energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.This research focuses on the comparative and optimization analysis of three supercritical carbon dioxide(sCO_(2))Rankine cycles(simple,cascade,and split)for gas turbine waste heat recuperation.The study begins with parametric analysis,investigating the significant effects of key variables,including turbine inlet temperature,condenser inlet temperature,and pinch point temperature,on the thermal performance of advanced sCO_(2) power cycles.To identify the most efficient cycle configuration,a multi-objective optimization approach is employed.This approach combines a Genetic Algorithm with machine learning regression models(Random Forest,XGBoost,Artificial Neural Network,Ridge Regression,and K-Nearest Neighbors)to predict cycle performance using a dataset extracted from cycle simulations.The decision-making process for determining the optimal cycle configuration is facilitated by the TOPSIS(technique for order of preference by similarity to the ideal solution)method.The study's major findings reveal that the split cycle outperforms the simple and cascade configurations in terms of power generation across various operating conditions.The optimized split cycle not only demonstrates superior power output but also exhibits enhanced net power output,heat recovery,system and exergy efficiency of 7.99 MW,76.17%,26.86%and 57.96%,respectively,making it a promising choice for waste heat recovery applications.This research has the potential to contribute to the advancement and widespread adoption of waste heat recovery in energy technologies boosting system efficiency and economic feasibility.It provides a new perspective for future research,contributing to the improvement of energy generation infrastructure. 展开更多

The solubility of disperse dyes and their mixture in supercritical carbon dioxide is an important property in study and development of supercritical fluid dyeing technology.In this study,solubilities of C.I.Disperse Red 73,C.I.Disperse Blue 183 and their mixture in supercritical CO2 are measured at temperatures from 343.2 to 383.2 K and pressures from 12 to 28 MPa with a static recirculation method.Under the experimental conditions for the binary(C.I.Disperse Red 73+CO2 or C.I.Disperse Blue 183+CO2) and ternary(C.I.Disperse Red 73+C.I.Disperse Blue 183+CO2) systems,the solubilities increase with pressure.The solubility of C.I.Disperse Blue 183 decreases with the increase of temperature when the pressure is lower than 16 MPa,and the trend is opposite when the pressure is higher than 16 MPa.However,there is no crossover pressure for C.I.Disperse Red 73.The solubilities are also affected by molecular polarity of dyes.The co-solvent effect exhibited in the dissolving process of mixed dyes promotes their dissolution in supercritical CO2.The experimental data of solubilities of C.I.Disperse Red 73,C.I.Disperse Blue 183,and their mixture are correlated with the Chrastil model and Mendez-Santiago/Teja model.
