We conducted a joint inversion of receiver functions and surface wave dispersions with P-wave velocity constraints using data from the Chin Array Ⅱ temporary stations deployed across the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau. Prior to joint inversion, we applied the H-κ-c method(Li JT et al., 2019) to the receiver function data in order to correct for the back-azimuthal variations in the arrival times of Ps phases and crustal multiples caused by crustal anisotropy and dipping interfaces. High-resolution images of vS, crustal thickness, and vP/vSstructures in the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau were simultaneously derived from the joint inversion. The seismic images reveal that crustal thickness decreases outward from the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau. The stable interiors of the Ordos and Alxa blocks exhibited higher velocities and lower crustal vP/vSratios. While, lower velocities and higher vP/vSratios were observed beneath the Qilian Orogen and Songpan-Ganzi terrane(SPGZ), which are geologically active and mechanically weak, especially in the mid-lower crust.Delamination or thermal erosion of the lithosphere triggered by hot asthenospheric flow contributes to the observed uppermost mantle low-velocity zones(LVZs) in the SPGZ. The crustal thickness, vS, and vP/vSratios suggest that whole lithospheric shortening is a plausible mechanism for crustal thickening in the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, supporting the idea of coupled lithospheric-scale deformation in this region.展开更多

The BSW phenomenon appearing in 1DPC enhances the GH shift generated in the attenuated total internal reflection structure. The GH shift is closely related to the thickness of the film which is composed of layer-structure of 1DPC. The GH shifts under multiple different incident light conditions will be obtained by varying the wavelength and angle of the measured light, and the thickness distribution of the entire structure of 1DPC is calculated by the particle swarm optimization(PSO) algorithm. The relationship between the structure of a 1DPC film composed of TiO_(2) and SiO_(2) layers and the GH shift, is investigated.Under the specific photonic crystal structure and incident conditions, a giant GH shift, 5.1 × 10^(3) times the wavelength of incidence, can be obtained theoretically. Simulation and calculation results show that the thickness of termination layer and periodic structure bilayer of 1DPC film with 0.1-nm resolution can be obtained by measuring the GH shifts. The exact structure of a 1DPC film is innovatively measured by the BSW-enhanced GH shift.展开更多

This structure can both identify the properties of guided waves in a more practical model and address the relationship between the cylinder damage degree and the surface and surrounding medium. The principal motivation is to perform a detailed quantitative analysis of the longitudinal mode and flexural mode in an elastic cylinder wrapped with a porous medium immersed in fluid. The frequency equations for the propagation of waves are derived each for a pervious surface and an impervious surface by employing Biot theory. The influences of the various parameters of the porous medium wrapping layer on the phase velocity and attenuation are discussed. The results show that the influences of porosity on the dispersion curves of guided waves are much more significant than those of thickness, whereas the phase velocity is independent of the static permeability. There is an apparent “mode switching” between the two low-order modes. The characteristics of attenuation are in good agreement with the results from the dispersion curves. This work can support future studies for optimizing the theory on detecting the damage to cylinder or pipeline.展开更多

文摘Surface Water and Ocean Topography(SWOT)is a next-generation radar altimeter that offers high resolution, wide swath, imaging capabilities. It has provided free public data worldwide since December 2023.This paper aims to preliminarily analyze the detection capabilities of the Ka-band radar interferometer(KaRIn)and Nadir altimeter(NALT),which are carried out by SWOT for internal solitary waves(ISWs),and to gather other remote sensing images to validate SWOT observations.KaRIn effectively detects ISW surface features and generates surface height variation maps reflecting the modulations induced by ISWs.However, its swath width does not completely cover the entire wave packet, and the resolution of L2/L3 level products(about 2 km)cannot be used to identify ISWs with smaller wavelengths.Additionally, significant wave height(SWH)images exhibit blocky structures that are not suitable for ISW studies;sea surface height anomaly(SSHA)images display systematic leftright banding. We optimize this imbalance using detrending methods;however, more precise treatment should commence with L1-level data.Quantitative analysis based on L3-level SSHA data indicates that the average SSHA variation induced by ISWs ranges from 10 cm to 20 cm.NALTs disturbed by ISWs record unusually elevated SWH and SSHA values, rendering the data unsuitable for analysis and necessitating targeted corrections in future retracking algorithms. For the normalized radar cross section,Ku-band and four-parameter maximum likelihood estimation retracking demonstrated greater sensitivity to minor changes in the sea surface, making them more suitable for ISW detection. In conclusion,SWOT demonstrates outstanding capabilities in ISW detection, significantly advancing research on the modulation of the sea surface by ISWs and remote sensing imaging mechanisms.

文摘This research introduces a novel approach to enhancing bucket elevator design and operation through the integration of discrete element method(DEM)simulation, design of experiments(DOE),and metaheuristic optimization algorithms.Specifically, the study employs the firefly algorithm(FA),a metaheuristic optimization technique,to optimize bucket elevator parameters for maximizing transport mass and mass flow rate discharge of granular materials under specified working conditions. The experimental methodology involves several key steps:screening experiments to identify significant factors affecting bucket elevator operation, central composite design(CCD)experiments to further explore these factors, and response surface methodology(RSM)to create predictive models for transport mass and mass flow rate discharge. The FA algorithm is then applied to optimize these models, and the results are validated through simulation and empirical experiments. The study validates the optimized parameters through simulation and empirical experiments, comparing results with DEM simulation. The outcomes demonstrate the effectiveness of the FA algorithm in identifying optimal bucket parameters, showcasing less than 10%and 15%deviation for transport mass and mass flow rate discharge, respectively, between predicted and actual values.Overall, this research provides insights into the critical factors influencing bucket elevator operation and offers a systematic methodology for optimizing bucket parameters, contributing to more efficient material handling in various industrial applications.
文摘The internal energy distribution of waves can be described using ocean-wave spectra. In many ways, obtaining wave spectra on a global scale is critical.Surface waves investigation and monitoring onboard the Chinese-French oceanography satellite is the first space-borne instrument for detecting wave spectra specially, which was launched on October 29,2018.It can avoid the shortage of synthetic aperture radar detection results while still having some problems, especially with the effects of speckle noise. In this study,a method to suppress the speckle noise is proposed.First, the empirical formula for background speckle noise is established.Second, many spatio-temporal representative fluctuation spectra are classified and averaged.Third, rational transfer function filtering is used to obtain speckle noise close to the along-track direction. Finally,a signal-to-noise ratio threshold is used to suppress the abnormal speckle noise. This method solves the problems existing in previous denoising methods, such as excessive denoising in the along-track direction and the inability of some abnormal noises to be denoised in the two-dimensional directional wave spectra.

文摘This paper puts forward a novel method of measuring the thin period-structure-film thickness based on the Bloch surface wave(BSW) enhanced Goos–Hanchen(GH) shift in one-dimensional photonic crystal(1DPC). The exact structure of a 1DPC film is innovatively measured by the BSW-enhanced GH shift.

文摘Porous carbon(PC)is a promising electromagnetic(EM)wave absorbing material thanks to its light weight, large specific surface area as well as good dissipating capacity. To further improve its microwave absorbing performance, silver coated porous carbon(Ag@PC)is synthesized by one-step hydro-thermal synthesis process making use of fir as a biomass formwork.Phase compositions, morphological structure, and microwave absorption capability of the Ag@PC has been explored.Research results show that the metallic Ag was successfully reduced and the particles are evenly distributed inward the pores of the carbon formwork, which accelerates graphitization process of the amorphous carbon. The Ag@PC composite without adding polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP)exhibits higher dielectric constant and better EM wave dissipating capability. This is because the larger particles of Ag give rise to higher electric conductivity. After combing with frequency selective surface(FSS),the EM wave absorbing performance is further improved and the frequency region below-10 d B is located in8.20-11.75 GHz,and the minimal reflection loss value is-22.5 dB.This work indicates that incorporating metallic Ag particles and FSS provides a valid way to strengthen EM wave absorbing capacity of PC material.

文摘To study the damage to an elastic cylinder immersed in fluid, a model of an elastic cylinder wrapped with a porous medium immersed in fluid is designed. This work can support future studies for optimizing the theory on detecting the damage to cylinder or pipeline.
文摘This study aimed to investigate the site characterization of the Senirkent Basin(Isparta)by using the microtremor(H/V)and surface wave analysis(ReMi)methods.Senirkent district, which is located on the foothill of the Kap?Mountain, are prone to seismic and landslide hazards. After the last landslip disaster(1995),the city has continued to develop on the alluvial basin. The microtremor data collected at 41 stations were analyzed. The predominant frequency and the amplification of the soil were found to be in the range of 1.8–6.6 Hz and 0.8–6.8,respectively.These are 4.0-6.8 Hz and 1-2.5 around the slope of the Kap?Mountain and 0.8-3.6 Hz and 3.0-6.6 at alluvium deposits of the valley. The ReMi data collected along 41 profiles were analyzed to obtain a Vs30 map.The soil classifications were done by using Vs30 values according to NEHRP soil classification criteria. The results showed that the southern area of the study had better soil conditions with Vs30 between 360-1160 m/s and soil class between C and B.The alluvium deposits on the north are relatively low with Vs30 in the range of 260-360 m/s and soil class D.

文摘The investigations of surface waves in the piezoelectric medium bring out great possibility in designing smart surface acoustic wave(SAW)devices. It is important to study the dispersion properties and manipulation mechanism of surface waves in the semi-infinite piezoelectric medium connected with periodic arrangement of shunting circuits. In this study, the extended Stroh formalism is developed to theoretically analyze the dispersion relations of surface waves under different external circuits. The band structures of both the Rayleigh wave and the Bleustein-Gulyaev(BG)wave can be determined and manipulated with proper electrical boundary conditions.Furthermore, the electromechanical coupling effects on the band structures of surface waves are discussed to figure out the manipulation mechanism of adjusting electric circuit. The results indicate that the proposed method can explain the propagation behaviors of surface waves under the periodic electrical boundary conditions, and can provide an important theoretical guidance for designing novel SAW devices and exploring extensive applications in practice.

文摘The streamer that is driven by the specific pulse DC discharge parameters can stably form a three-dimensional helical plasma channel in a long dielectric tube in the low-temperature plasma experiment,in cases when there were neither external background magnetic field or other factors that destroyed the poloidal symmetry of the tube. The formation mechanism and chirality of helical streamers are discussed according to the surface electromagnetic standing wave theory. The shape of the helical streamers and the characteristics of helical branches are quantitatively analyzed to further expand the application of plasma and streamer theory in the helix problem and chiral catalytic synthesis.

文摘In this paper,an integrated substrate gap waveguide(ISGW)filtering antenna is proposed at millimeter wave band, whose surface wave and spurious modes are simultaneously suppressed.A secondorder filtering response is obtained through a coupling feeding scheme using one uniform impedance resonator(UIR)and two stepped-impedance resonators(SIRs).To increase the stopband width of the antenna, the spurious modes are suppressed by selecting the appropriate sizes of the ISGW unit cell.Furthermore, the ISGW is implemented to improve the radiation performance of the antenna by alleviating the propagation of surface wave. And an equivalent circuit is investigated to reveal the working principle of ISGW.To demonstrate this methodology,an ISGW filtering antenna operating at a center frequency of 25 GHz is designed, fabricated, and measured. The results show that the antenna achieves a stopband width of 1.6f0(center frequency),an out-of-band suppression level of 21 dB,and a peak realized gain of 8.5 dBi.
文摘In recent years, karst construction projects in the built-up area of Wuhan(capital of Hubei Province,China)are increasing, and the karst geological disasters have aroused social concerns. The actual engineering projects usually use shallow geophysical exploration methods to explore karst. This paper uses Spatial Auto-Correlation Method(SPAC)and electromagnetic Computerized Tomography(CT)to detect karst in urban built-up areas.Depending on the different physical properties of rock and soil, the SPAC method can better reveal the interface between soil and rock strata and the interface between soil layers. The electromagnetic CT method can identify strata according to the apparent absorption coefficient, which can better reveal the interface between soil and rock, the interface between the more intact and weathered rock. The SPAC method is mainly qualitative to measure the low-speed area, namely, the wrong geological body i.e.,karst cave, but also can detect the fracture zone or filling mode of karst cave, and at the same time, cannot use exploration holes or logging observation. The electromagnetic CT method can accurately detect the location and scale of the karst caves and has a higher accuracy detecting karst bands. In addition, exploration holes or well logging observations are also expected to be conducted, and their detection effect is greatly affected by lithology.
文摘As dense seismic arrays at different scales are deployed, the techniques to make full use of array data with low computing cost become increasingly needed. The wave gradiometry method(WGM)is a new branch in seismic tomography, which utilizes the spatial gradients of the wavefield to determine the phase velocity, wave propagation direction, geometrical spreading, and radiation pattern.Seismic wave propagation parameters obtained using the WGM can be further applied to invert 3D velocity models,Q values, and anisotropy at lithospheric(crust and/or mantle)and smaller scales(e.g.,industrial oilfield or fault zone).Herein,we review the theoretical foundation, technical development, and major applications of the WGM,and compared the WGM with other commonly used major array imaging methods.Future development of the WGM is also discussed.
