Finite-time consensus of multi-agent systems driven by hyperbolic partial differential equations via boundary control

The leaderless and leader-following finite-time consensus problems for multiagent systems(MASs)described by first-order linear hyperbolic partial differential equations(PDEs)are studied.The Lyapunov theorem and the unique solvability result for the first-order linear hyperbolic PDE are used to obtain some sufficient conditions for ensuring the finite-time consensus of the leaderless and leader-following MASs driven by first-order linear hyperbolic PDEs.Finally,two numerical examples are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

Existence of Periodic Solutions for Generalized Liénard-Typed Functional Differential Equations

The existence of periodic solutions for a kind of generalized Liénard typed functional differential equation is studied. By means of the continuation theorem of coincidence degree theory, existence criteria are established for the existence of periodic solutions and some previous results are extended.

THE EXACT MEROMORPHIC SOLUTIONS OF SOME NONLINEAR DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

We find the exact forms of meromorphic solutions of the nonlinear differential equations■,n≥3,k≥1,where q,Q are nonzero polynomials,Q■Const.,and p_(1),p_(2),α_(1),α_(2)are nonzero constants withα_(1)≠α_(2).Compared with previous results on the equation p(z)f^(3)+q(z)f"=-sinα(z)with polynomial coefficients,our results show that the coefficient of the term f^((k))perturbed by multiplying an exponential function will affect the structure of its solutions.

Pseudo S-Asymptotically(ω,c)-Periodic Solutions to Fractional Differential Equations of Sobolev Type

In this paper,we firstly recall some basic results on pseudo S-asymptotically(ω,c)-periodic functions and Sobolev type fractional differential equation.We secondly investigate some existence of pseudo S-asymptotically(ω,c)-periodic solutions for a semilinear fractional differential equations of Sobolev type.We finally present a simple example.

Roughness of Exponential Estimates for Linear Functional Differential Equations

Assume that the fundamental solution matrix U (t, s ) of x’(t)=L(t, x,) satisfies |U(t,s)|≤Ke-e(t-s) for t≥s.If|(t,φ)|≤δ|φ(0)|with δ【a/K, then the fundamental solution matrix of the perturbed equation x’(t)=L(t,x,)+(t ,x,) also possesses similar exponential estimate. For α=0, a similar result is given.

Oscillation of Nonlinear Impulsive Delay Hyperbolic Partial Differential Equations

In this paper,by making use of the calculous technique and some results of the impulsive differential inequality,oscillatory properties of the solutions of certain nonlinear impulsive delay hyperbolic partial differential equations with nonlinear diffusion coefficient are investigated.Sufficient conditions for oscillations of such equations are obtained.

ASYMPTOTIC PROPERTIES OF FUNCTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS IN BANACH SPACES

The paper is devoted to the asymptotic properties of functional differential equations in Banach spaces.The criteria of the invariant and attracting sets are obtained.Particularly, the sufficient condition of asymptotic stability of the equilibrium point is given as the system has an equilibrium point.Several examples are also worked out to demonstrate the validity of the results.

RAZUMIKHIN-TYPE THEOREMS OF NEUTRAL STOCHASTIC FUNCTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

The stability of stochastic functional differential equation with Markovian switching was studied by several authors,but there was almost no work on the stability of the neutral stochastic functional differential equations with Markovian switching.The aim of this article is to close this gap.The authors establish Razumikhin-type theorem of the neutral stochastic functional differential equations with Markovian switching,and those without Markovian switching.

Periodic Solutions for a Class of Neutral Functional Differential Equations with Distributed and Discrete Delays

Based on Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem,matrix measure and functional analysis methods,some new sufficient conditions for the existence of periodic solutions of neutral functional differential equations with distributed and discrete delays are obtained. Moreover,we construct an example to illustrate the feasibility of our results.

On Stability of Solutions of a Certain Fourth-Order Functional Differential Equations

Using a Razumikhin-type theorem,we obtain sufficient conditions for the global asymptotic stability of the zero solution of a certain fourth order functional differential equations.The result generalizes the well known results.

Superconvergence of Finite Element Approximations to Parabolic and Hyperbolic Integro-Differential Equations

The object of this paper is to investigate the superconvergence properties of finite element approximations to parabolic and hyperbolic integro-differential equations. The quasi projection technique introduced earlier by Douglas et al. is developed to derive the O(h2r) order knot superconvergence in the case of a single space variable, and to show the optimal order negative norm estimates in the case of several space variables.

Entire solutions of a certain type of functional-differential equations

In this paper, we shall utilize Nevanlinna value distribution theory and normality theory to study the solvability of a certain type of functional-differential equations. We also consider the solutions of some nonlinear differential equations.

DENSITY ESTIMATES FOR SOLUTIONS OF STOCHASTIC FUNCTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

In this article, we investigate the density of the solution to a class of stochastic functional differential equations by means of Malliavin calculus. Our aim is to provide upper and lower Gaussian estimates for the density.
