On the other hand, substituents and conformational change in the stacked dimmers of aromatic system may also change the stability of different stacked dimers. In this current study, stacked phenolic dimmers (both phenol and diphenol) have been taken for investigation of the stacking π-π interaction. But, the stacking interactions are also greatly affected by the conformational change with internal rotation (i.e. dihedral angle, φ) between the stacked dimers. It is generally accepted that larger basis sets are required for the highly accurate calculation of interaction energies for any stacked aromatic models. But, it has recently been reported that M062X/6-311++G(d,p) basis set is effectively better than that of B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) for determining the interaction energies for any kind of long range interaction in aromatic systems. Therefore, all the calculations were carried out by using M062X/6-311++G(d,p) basis set. However, in most of the cases the calculated π-π stacking interaction energies show almost same result for both DFT and ab initio methods.展开更多
In networked control systems (NCS),the control performance depends on not only the control algorithm but also the communication protocol stack.The performance degradation introduced by the heterogeneous and dynamic ...In networked control systems (NCS),the control performance depends on not only the control algorithm but also the communication protocol stack.The performance degradation introduced by the heterogeneous and dynamic communication environment has intensified the need for the reconfigurable protocol stack.In this paper,a novel architecture for the reconfigurable protocol stack is proposed,which is a unified specification of the protocol components and service interfaces supporting both static and dynamic reconfiguration for existing industrial communication standards.Within the architecture,a triple-level self-organization structure is designed to manage the dynamic reconfiguration procedure based on information exchanges inside and outside the protocol stack.Especially,the protocol stack can be self-adaptive to various environment and system requirements through the reconfiguration of working mode,routing and scheduling table.Finally,the study on the protocol of dynamic address management is conducted for the system of controller area network (CAN).The results show the efficiency of our self-organizing architecture for the implementation of a reconfigurable protocol stack.展开更多

This new topolog...In this paper, a new inverter topology dedicated to isolated or grid-connected PV systems is proposed. This inverter is based on the structures of a stacked multi-cell converter (SMC) and an H-bridge. This new topology has allowed the voltage stresses of the converter to be distributed among several switching cells. Secondly, divide the input voltage into several fractions to reduce the number of power semiconductors to be switched. In this contribution, the general topology of this micro-inverter has been described and the simulation tests developed to validate its operation have been presented. Finally, we discussed the simulation results, the efficiency of this topology and the feasibility of its use in a grid-connected photovoltaic production system.展开更多

In this paper, the base of the Nantuo tillite is se...The study on outcrop sequence stratigraphy of the Sinian section in the Yangtze Gorges an important step in the comprehensive stratigraphy for the Sinian stratotype. In this paper, the base of the Nantuo tillite is selected as the bottom boundary of the Sinian, and the top of the Baimatuo Member of the Dengying Formation is taken as the top boundary. The Sinian lasted from 740 the to 570 Ma. According to the features of sequence boundary facies and the parasequence sets, two supersequences are recognized in the Sinian with six sequences. In this paper, the authors discuss the correlation of those sequences. On the basis of the subsidence rate and the thickness of decompressed deposits, the authors discuss the mechanism of tectonic and sedimentation of the Dengying Formation and the features of high-frequency rhythms as well as the 3rd-order sequences in the Yangtze Gorges.展开更多
Writable XOR executable (W⊕X) and address space layout randomisation (ASLR) have elevated the understanding necessary to perpetrate buffer overflow exploits [1] . However, they have not proved to be a panacea [1 3] , and so other mechanisms, such as stack guards and prelinking, have been introduced. In this paper, we show that host-based protection still does not offer a complete solution. To demonstrate the protection inadequacies, we perform an over the network brute force return-to-libc attack against a preforking concurrent server to gain remote access to a shell. The attack defeats host protection including W⊕X and ASLR. We then demonstrate that deploying a network intrusion detection systems (NIDS) with appropriate signatures can detect this attack efficiently.展开更多
