The critical current density (Jc), the Jc-B characteristics, microstructures and the relation between Jc and strain of three kinds of tapes were evaluated and compared. The maximum Jc of three kinds of tapes at 77.7 K in zero magnetic field are 28700 A/cm2 for single-core tape, 20800 A/cm2 for Ag-powder-added tape, 11700 A/cm2 for multifilamentary tape. Single-core tapes exhibit high Jc values and good Jc-B characteristics.展开更多

For purpose of reducing the risks of using of saline water for irrigation, the mechanism of soil moisture and salinity distribution and transport should be well understood for developing optimum management strategies. In this paper, field experiments were carried out at Junggar Basin, China, to study the effects of drip irrigation water quality and drip tape arrangement on distribution of soil salinity and soil moisture. Six treatments were designed, including two drip tape arrangement modes and three irrigation water concentration levels (0.24, 4.68, and 7.42 dS m^-l). Results showed that, soil moisture content (SMC) directly beneath the drip tape in all treatments kept a relatively high value about 18% before boll opening stage; the SMC in the narrow strip in single tape arrangement (Ms) plot was obviously lower than that in the double tapes arrangement (Md) plot, indicating that less sufficient water was supplied under the same condition of irrigation depth, but there was no significant reduction in yield. Mulching had not significant influence on salt accumulation but the drip tape arrangement, under the same condition of irrigation water depth and quality, compared with Md, Ms reduced salt accumulation in root zone and brought about relatively high cotton yield.展开更多

La0.9Sr0.1Ga0.8Mg0.2O3-δ is a new kind of electrolyte for intermediate temperature SOFC. In this paper, La0.9Sr0.1Ga0.8Mg0.2O3-δ (LSGM) was prepared by solid state reaction method and formed by tape casting process to make a planar electrolyte. The appropriate amount of the dispersive was obtained by viscosity test. The densities of sintered samples increase with the increasing sintering temperature. It was found that the relative density of electrolyte can approach the value of 95% by the isostatic pressing treatment of the green tape. The average thermal expansion coefficient of the LSGM is 11.4×10-6/℃ at temperature range (200~1200 ℃). Measurements of the current-voltage and power-current characteristics of the H2-Air cell show that the open-circuit voltage is 1.067 V at 800 ℃, peak current density is 0.56 A·cm-2 and the maximum power output is 0.147 W·cm-2.展开更多

Therefore, the research on technological parameters becomes the focus of many scholars. However, how to accomplish the variable tension control is usually not fully considered. Accordingly, the constant extension ratio and the smoothness of winding process cannot be ensured. Aiming at the problem of tension control, this paper first gives a comparatively deep research on the control method and the interaction mechanism of tension, extension ratio, automatic lap and automatic rectification. Then, according to the winding process features, the mechanical device and the mathematical model of tension control system are established respectively. With regard to the characteristics of PID controller and fuzzy controller, the fuzzy self-tuning PID controller is designed. As a result, the variable tension control is realized during the winding and lapping process, and the constant extension ratio is guaranteed. Finally, a sample application is presented for demonstration. By presenting the variable tension control techniques for discontinuous tape winding, the constant extension ratio of tapes is achieved, the consecution and the automation degree of winding process is improved as well. A simplified model of tapered roller bearings consisted of one inner raceway, one outer raceway and a tapered roller was established, in which the interaction of several heat sources is ignored. The contact mechanics model, temperature model and model of scuffing failure are synthesized, and the corresponding computer programs are developed to analyze the effects of bearings parameters, different material and operational conditions on thermal performance of bearings, and temperature distribution and the possibility of surface scuffing are obtained. The results show that load, speed, thermal conductivity and tapered roller materials influence temperature rise and scuffing failure of bearings. Ceramic material of tapered roller results in the decrease of scuffing possibility of bearings to a high extent than the conventional rolling bearing steel. Compared with bulk temperature, flash temperature on the surfaces of bearing elements has a little influence on maximum temperature rise of bearing elements. For the rolling bearings operated under high speed and heavy load, this paper proposes a method which can accurately calculate the possibility of scuffing failure of rolling bearings.展开更多

LNT green tape was prepared using PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) as binder and ethylene glycol as plasticizer. The influence of the slurry composition on the rheological properties of the slurries and the properties of the resultant green tapes were studied. The slurry exhibited a typical shear thinning behavior. The increase in the PVA content increased the tensile strength of the tapes. The slip compositions with 5 wt pct PVA produced green tapes with satisfactory tensile strength. Ethylene glycol additions enhanced the flexibility of the green tapes but also produced a decrease in the tensile strength. Sliver inner-electrode was pasted on LNT green tapes and the sheets were stacked, pressed and sintered at 900℃ for 2 h. SEM (scanning electron microscopy) micrographs showed that the multilayer sheets were fully dense with fairly uniform microstructure and no reaction was observed between LNT and sliver layers.展开更多

By combination of quenching experiment with X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, the effect of cooling rate on the evolution of three superconducting phases in the (Bi,Pb)-2223 core of Ag-sheathed tape was investigated. The results show that (Bi,Pb)-2223 reformation from the melt seems to experience different routes during slowly cooling at different rates. One is that (Bi,Pb)-2223 phase reformed directly from the melt, and no Bi-2212 participate in this process. The other is that (Bi,Pb)-2223 is converted from the intermediate product, Bi-2212, which formed from the melt during the first cooling stage. Due to the inherent sluggish formation kinetics of (Bi,Pb)-2223 from Bi-2212, only partial (Bi,Pb)-2223 can finally be reformed with the second route.展开更多
