It is usually difficult to statistically model a real target because there are very few parameters which can be used to approximate the probability density function (PDF) of a real target's radar cross section (RCS) in conventional target models. A new method of statistical modeling is suggested, according to which the first nth central moment of real target's RCS, combined with the Legendre orthogonal polynomials, is used to reconstruct the PDF of the target's RCS. The relationship between the coefficients of the Legendre polynomials and the central moments of RCS are deduced mathematically. Through a practical computing example, the error-of-fit is shown as a function of the orders of Legendre coefficients. By comparing the errors-of-fit caused by both the new model and the conventional models, it is concluded that the new nonparametric method for statistical modeling of radar targets is superior.展开更多

Investigations have been made for both the perpendicular plane and the plane perpendicular to the momentum transfer geometries. The present calculation is based on the threewCoulomb wave function. Here we have also incorporated the effect of target polarization in the initial state. A comparison is made between the present calculation with the results of other theoretical methods and a recent experiment [Diirr M, Dimopoulou C, Najjari B, Dorn A, Bartschat K, Bray I, Fursa D V, Chen Z, Madison D H and Ullrich J 2008 Phys. We observe that the effect of target polarization plays a dominant role in deciding the shape of triple differential cross sections.展开更多

Both the approximate theo- retic analysis and the numerical results show that the sign of the horizontal complex cross acoustic intensity active component is independent of the range when vertically deployed receiving dual sensors are placed in appropriate depths, the sum of which is equal to the waveguide effective depth, so it can be used to tell whether the sound source is near the surface or underwater; while the range rate is expected to be measured by utilizing the sign distribution characteristic of the reactive component. The further robustness analysis of the depth classification algorithm shows that the existence of shear waves in semi infinite basement and the change of acoustic velocity profiles have few effects on the application of this method, and the seabed attenuation will limit the detection range, but the algorithm still has a good robustness in the valid detection range.展开更多

Fernald) is one of the most competitive and malignant weeds in rice-wheat rotation fields in China. American sloughgrass populations in the Jiangsu Province of China became less sensitive to acetohydroxyacid synthase(AHAS) inhibitors after repeated application for many years in these areas. Two suspected resistant American sloughgrass populations(R1 and R2) collected in the field were detected the resistance to inhibitors of AHAS in whole-plant dose-response assays, compared to the susceptible(S) population. These assays indicated that R1 showed low resistance to mesosulfuron-methyl(3.32-fold), imazapic(2.84-fold) and pyroxsulam(1.55-fold), moderate resistance to flazasulfuron(4.67-fold) and pyribenzoxim(7.41-fold), and high resistance to flucarbazone(11.73-fold). However, using a combination of the cytochrome P450 inhibitor, malathion, with mesosulfuron-methyl resulted in a reduction in R1 resistance relative to mesosulfuron-methyl alone. Furthermore, R2 was highly resistant to flazasulfuron(34.90-fold), imazapic(11.30-fold), flucarbazone(49.20-fold), pyribenzoxim(12.94-fold), moderately resistant to mesosulfuron-methyl(9.77-fold) and pyroxsulam(6.26-fold), and malathion had no effect on R2 resistance to mesosulfuron-methyl. The fulllength of AHAS genes was sequenced and the AHAS enzymes were assayed in vitro in order to clarify the mechanism of resistance to AHAS inhibitors in R1 and R2 populations. The results demonstrated that R2 had a Pro-197-Ser mutation in the AHAS gene, and the sensitivity of R2 to the five AHAS inhibitors was decreased, which may result in R2 resistance to AHAS inhibitors. There was no mutation in the AHAS gene of R1, and there were no significant differences in enzyme sensitivity between susceptible(S) and resistant(R1) populations. An enhanced metabolism may be the main mechanism of R1 resistance to AHAS inhibitors.展开更多

The cross-range signal model of rotating target with fixed acceleration is presented and the weighted linear least squares estimation of rotational parameters with fixed velocity or acceleration is proposed via the relationship of cross-range FM (frequency modulation) parameter, scatterers coordinates and rotational parameters. The FM parameter is calculated via RWT (Radon-Wigner transform). The ISAR imaging and cross-range scaling based on scaled RWT imaging method are implemented after obtaining rotational parameters. The rotational parameters estimation and cross-range scaling are validated by the ISAR processing of experimental radar data, and the method presents good application foreground to the ISAR imaging and scaling of maneuvering target.展开更多

Our experimental K-shell ionization cross sections for Ti element are compared with the distorted-wave Born approximation (DWBA) theoretical predictions, and it is found that the agreement of the experimental data and theoretical values is good and this indicates that the experimental method adopted in this study is applicable.
文摘The energy spectra of reflected electrons from the substrates of targets have been calculated by the bipartition model of electron transport, the contributions of the inner shen ionization events produced by the reflected electrons from the substrates in the targets to the x-ray counting in a St(Li) detector have been estimated. It has been confirmed that, by such correction to the measured data, the experimental results of inner shell ionization cross sections by electron impact with fine precision may be obtained under the condition of thick substrate.

文摘The rotational parameters estimation of maneuvering target is the key of cross-range scaling of ISAR (inverse synthetic aperture radar), which can be used in the target feature extraction. The rotational parameters estimation and cross-range scaling are validated by the ISAR processing of experimental radar data, and the method presents good application foreground to the ISAR imaging and scaling of maneuvering target.
