On the relationship between college English teachers＇ beliefs and their teaching behaviors

Based on the questionnaires and interviews on 19 college English teachers of a university in Beijing, the paper discusses college English teachers＇ beliefs. Through the analysis of research results, the paper focuses on the following questions： （1） What are the core beliefs of college English teachers？ （2） What influence will the teachers＇ beliefs exert on teaching behaviors？ （3） Will the teachers＇ beliefs change？ If the answer is YES, how will they change and what is the source of the changes？ The exploratory results and findings can help college English teachers realize the importance of teachers＇ beliefs, through which can help them improve their teaching practices and foster their professional development.

A Study on the Effects of English Teachers' Nonverbal Behavior on the Classroom Teaching in Higher Vocational College

The two main communications between the teacher and students in the classroom teaching are teachers' verbal and nonverbal behavior. The teachers teach students knowledge in words and convey a large amount of information using nonverbal behavior. These nonverbal behavior exert a subtle influence on the students, thus affect the classroom teaching. The English teachers' classroom nonverbal behavior in a higher vocational college in Gansu province was investigated through questionnaires. The results indicate that the teachers' behaviors affect the different aspects of students and then influence the effectiveness of teaching on English classroom teaching in higher vocational college.

Brief Probe into College English Teachers' Phonetic Teaching Beliefs and Behavior

Pronunciation is the basic of learning a language and an important breakthrough point to promote the whole level of language.As a result,pronunciation attracted more and more attention in English teaching.However,it is still a weakness in English teaching because of the multifarious and complicated factors.A large numbers of research papers indicate that teacher is the leader and organizer of teaching activities,he or she dominants the whole process of pronunciation teaching.For example,they make decisions,design and reform the content of teaching in the classroom.What's more,teacher's beliefs can influence their teaching behaviors more than their professional knowledge,namely,teacher's phonetic teaching beliefs influence their phonetic teaching behaviors deeply.This study aims at finding out about teachers'beliefs of phonetic teaching and casting some light on the relationship between teachers' phonetic teaching beliefs and behaviors,and the causes for their inconsistency if any.

Study on the Roles of a Teacher in College English Teaching Mode Based on the Internet

With the rapid development of modern technology and all-round reform in national college English teaching,Internet-Based teaching mode has become a new trend of college English teaching.Therefore,in the new teaching mode,the teacher should turn an inculcator into an instructor,facilitator and participant in teaching;a passive user of textbook into a dominant and modeler of courses;a planner of teaching specific tasks into an organizer of teaching process,a helper and shepherd of learning knowledge.

A Critical Discourse Analysis on the Teacher Behavioral Norms of English Training School

With a Critical Discourse Analysis approach, this essay reveals four types of discourses: discourse of examination, instruction, technology and regulation. Based on the analysis of power relation among those discourses, a vivid picture of teachers' identity at training-school has been clearly sketched. That is, teacher at training-school is a puppet acting as not only the transmitter of specific knowledge, but also the supervisor of rules and spokesman of institution.

Study of the learner-centered interactive teaching model in the EFL classroom

With the change of the teaching approach, people have realized that language is not only knowledge, but also a skill and ability. Today＇s English teaching should emphasize the college student＇s English comprehensive skills. This paper is intended to introduce the traditional English teaching method, and by using the comparison of the force-feeding mode of English teaching with interactive approach to language pedagogy. It emphasizes the analysis of the modem communicative teaching mode, and it also elaborates the English teacher＇s role in interactive class, and proves the effectivity and feasibility of the theory based on the student-centered mode.

The Teacher's Role of Listening Comprehension

Throughout the history of the listening comprehension teaching at home and abroad, the research mainly focus on the correlation of the learner's English listening proficiency and their self-efficiency. Scholars like Alisa J.Bates, Penny Ur. and Widdowson, H. G. have claimed the significance of teacher's role in listening comprehension. For the purpose of proving the necessity of the teacher's role in listening comprehension, based on the analysis of the features of classroom listening comprehension,this paper presents the teacher's role before class, in class and after class. Meanwhile, during the teaching process, teachers and learners are revealed in two way interactive relations and the pedagogical process is the result of the bilateral interaction of the two sides.

Reflection and Optimization of Primary English Teachers' Speech Acts Based on Speech Act Theory

The primary English teacher's speech acts have major impact on foreign language teaching and learning in primaryschool.Application of teacher,s speech acts in the classroom is actually a kind of selective process.From the perspective of SpeechAct Theory,primary English teachers can optimize their speech acts with the strategies of activating the greetings with proper con-text information,standardizing teacher talk,choosing suitable questions,providing appropriate feedback for pupils’classroom per-formances in order to improve the effectiveness of primary teachers,classroom speech acts.

Analysis on the Individual Discrepancy in English Teaching

Recently, a great tide of English teaching reform swept across China, advocating the innovation of educational concept and teaching mode. However, the phenomenon of rigid uniformity in teaching process is still commonly seen, neglecting the individual discrepancy of students. The individual discrepancy is manifested by both the congenital heredity and the acquired disposition. Supported by the Chinese traditional theory of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude and Vygotsky's "the zone of proximal development" theory, this paper illustrates the importance of paying attention to the individual discrepancy from the perspective of students' growing background and personality. In addition, standing on the point of view of relevant authority and English teacher, the author tries to put forward some countermeasures.

Research on the Application Framework of Intelligent Technologies to Promote Teachers’Classroom Teaching Behavior Evaluation

With the advantages of real-time analysis and visual evaluation results,intelligent technology-enabled teaching behavior evaluation has gradually become a powerful means to help teachers adjust teaching behaviors and improve teaching quality.However,at present,the evaluation of intelligent teachers’behaviors is still in the preliminary exploration stage,and the application research is not deep enough.This paper analyzes the application of intelligent technology in the evaluation of teachers’classroom teaching behaviors from the perspectives of evaluation data,methods,and results.Voice print recognition technology is used to recognize the teachers’identities and track the speech in the classroom videos,and the videos are segmented.Then,the evaluation framework of teachers’classroom teaching behaviors is constructed using three dimensions of emotion,posture,and position preference.Finally,evaluation results are presented to teachers in a more intuitive and easy-to-understand visual way,to help teachers reflect on teaching.This paper aims to promote the transformation of teachers’classroom teaching behavior evaluation toward an intelligent,efficient,and sustainable direction through current research.

小学人工智能教师画像构建研究

教师课堂教学的专业化水平是制约中小学人工智能教育高质量发展的关键问题。利用教师画像刻画教师教学模式和行为特征,多维度挖掘分析教师课堂教学表现,了解教师课堂教学的特征和不足并进行针对性提升,是解决人工智能教师专业成长难题的新途径。文章以30节小学人工智能课堂教学视频为研究样本,采用S-T分析和滞后序列分析法构建教师画像发现:小学人工智能教师课堂教学模式偏向对话型和混合型,教学行为存在“IRF循环”“指导联结”“沉默促进”三种典型模式,媒体应用行为呈现“技术倾向”“连续型”“传统媒体双向交互”三种模式。基于教师画像,文章提出了小学人工智能教师教学行为提升策略。

护生视角下临床护理教师课程思政与有效教学行为评价

目的 了解护生对临床护理教师课程思政和有效教学行为的评价,为深入开展课程思政、改善临床教学行为提供依据。方法 采用临床护理教师课程思政评价调查表和临床护理教师有效教学行为问卷对158名结束实习的本科护生进行调查。结果 临床护理教师开展课程思政率仅为48.1%,有效教学行为问卷总均分(5.56±1.30)分,各维度得分由高到低依次为人际关系、对护生评价、专业水平、个性特征、教学水平。课程思政组有效教学行为及各维度得分均高于未实施课程思政组(均P<0.01)。结论 护生对临床护理教师课程思政评价低,教师课程思政内容、方式等方面均需改进;对教师有效教学行为评价中等偏上。以专业能力为基础选拔临床护理教师,建立持续、动态培训、激励机制,科室成立教学团队,凝练课程思政内容并全程融入带教过程,有助于临床护理教师有效教学行为的形成。

临床护理教师教学行为与护生职业获益感的相关性研究

目的了解临床护理教师教学行为与护生职业获益感现状,分析两者之间的相关性。方法采用临床护理教师有效教学行为问卷和护士职业获益感量表对140名毕业前护生进行问卷调查。结果护生职业获益感量表得分为(93.18±16.43)分,临床护理教师有效教学行为问卷总均分为(5.65±1.24)分。临床护理教师教学行为及个性特征、临床胜任力、教学能力、对护生评价、人际关系维度均与职业获益感呈正相关关系,个性特征是职业获益感的独立影响因素。结论护生职业获益感水平中等,临床护理教师教学行为总体处于中等偏上水平,两者呈正相关关系。要关注延长学制护生群体,多措并举改善临床护理教师的教学行为,带教过程中融入人文关怀,提升护生职业获益感,稳定准护理人才队伍。

高校职称评聘制度的教学导向对青年教师教学行为的影响机制分析

在制度理论、组织氛围理论以及自我决定理论的基础上,本研究构建了高校职称评聘制度的教学导向对青年教师教学行为的影响机制模型,并基于APIKS调查数据采用简单中介模型、有调节的中介模型等方法对高校职称评聘制度的教学导向与青年教师教学行为的关系进行分析。研究发现,我国高校在教师聘用和晋升时对教学重视不足,教学导向氛围偏低,教师教学自主性不高;较之于非“双一流”建设高校,“双一流”建设高校在教师聘用和晋升时对教学的重视程度更高,给予教师更大自主决策的范围和空间;高校职称评聘制度的教学导向对青年教师教学行为的直接影响并不显著,通过教学导向氛围对教学行为产生间接影响,且随着教学自主性的提高,这种间接影响逐渐减弱。政府要不断建立和完善高校分类评价制度;高校要持续完善和优化职称评聘制度,积极营造有利于青年教师教学发展的环境。

教师是如何发展的?——一项基于经验学习圈理论的刻画与分析

为了全面理解和促进教师改变,必须深入刻画教师改变的过程。作者基于经验学习圈理论,采用认知网络分析方法和交叉滞后分析方法,分析了41位教师经历2年一个完整经验学习圈的课堂教学行为大数据和实践性知识大数据,获得了基于经验学习圈的教师改变演化规律。研究发现:作为教师改变内部特征的实践性知识,其演化经过了竞争共存、协同互补和协同转化3个阶段,而作为教师改变外部特征的教学行为中,教师鼓励学生提出问题和提出高阶问题的教学行为经历了从少到多的量的变化过程;教师实践性知识中教育信念、反思性知识和自我知识等知识成分与教师鼓励学生提出问题、教师提出高阶问题等关系到创新性教学改变的关键教学行为之间存在着确切的因果关系;实践性知识及课堂教学行为共同作为教师改变的内因是教师改变的根据,而大学研究者提供的大数据循证课例研究支持服务是教师改变的外因并构成了教师改变的条件,外因通过内因而引起教师改变。
