Research on the Teaching Evaluation System for Art Creation Classes

Traditional art creation design research is a course that cultivates comprehensive talents in the Fine Arts Department of Sichuan University of Arts.This course has been offered over eight terms,and its purpose is to cultivate students’comprehensive design ability.This course aims to cultivate the abilities to create and inherit traditional art as well as to control and study the course of art creation.Based on the teaching practice of this course,the teaching evaluation system is reformed and studied so as to form a better evaluation system for the teaching of art creation.

Research on the Practice and Development of Teaching Evaluation in Private Colleges and Universities:Taking Xi’an Mingde Institute of Technology as an Example

With the government’s strong support and investment in higher education,private colleges and universities have become an important part of higher education.Teaching evaluation is an important means of monitoring the quality of teaching in colleges and universities and a crucial way to improve teaching quality.This article takes Xi’an Mingde Institute of Technology as an example to explore the practice and development of teaching evaluation in private colleges and universities.

Evaluation of the Application Effect of Short Video Combined with BOPPPS Teaching Mode in Clinical Anesthesia Teaching

Objective:To study the application effect of short video combined with BOPPPS teaching mode in clinical anesthesia practice.Method:48 students assigned to clinical anesthesia in digestive endoscopy of Shanxi Bethune Hospital from July 1,2022 to April 1,2023 were selected as research objects.They were randomly divided into the control group(PowerPoint presentation teaching group)and the observation group(short video combined with BOPPPS teaching group),with 24 students in each group.After the internship,the students’theoretical and technical scores were tested,the effects of the two teaching modes were compared,and the students’satisfaction was investigated.Results:The test scores of students in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05).The short video combined with BOPPPS teaching mode can significantly improve students’learning interest,operation skills,and memory(P<0.05).The students’satisfaction in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:In clinical practice,the application of short video combined with BOPPPS teaching mode has achieved great effect,which is worth further promotion and research.

Research on the Evaluation of VBSE Practical Training Teaching Effectiveness Based on CIPP Model at X University

Based on the CIPP(context,input,process,and product)model,this paper constructs an index system suitable for evaluating the teaching effect of VBSE(virtual business social environment)practical training from four aspects:context evaluation,input evaluation,process evaluation,and product evaluation.Taking the students participating in VBSE practical training in X university as the survey population,381 valid sample data were obtained through an online questionnaire survey,and the index weights were determined by factor analysis method.The score value of the VBSE practical training teaching effect was calculated based on the evaluation mean value of three indexes.The results showed that the context evaluation score was 1.56,the input evaluation score was 1.54,the process evaluation score was 1.51,and the product evaluation score was 1.48.Subsequently,this paper put forward some countermeasures from the aspects of optimizing course arrangement,improving hardware facilities,and enhancing team cooperation to provide a guideline for improving the effect of VBSE practical training.

Classroom Teaching Evaluation of Chinese Painting as a Form of Fine Arts in Rural Junior High Schools

Teaching evaluation is an indispensable part of the teaching system of junior high school.In order to inherit the excellent traditional Chinese culture and arts,traditional Chinese painting has been paid more and more attention to in the fine arts curriculum of rural junior high school.This paper takes the classroom teaching evaluation of traditional Chinese painting as a form of fine arts in rural junior high school as the research object,and analyzes the problems existing in the classroom teaching evaluation of traditional Chinese painting in rural junior high school.This paper puts forward the corresponding improvement measures from the aspects of comprehensive evaluation object,concrete evaluation content,flexible evaluation language and diversified evaluation subjects,in order to improve the evaluation level of fine arts teachers'classroom teaching,improve students'aesthetic cognition and learning interest in traditional Chinese painting,and cultivate students'innovative thinking and spirit.

Crowdsourcing-Based Framework for Teaching Quality Evaluation and Feedback Using Linguistic 2-Tuple

Crowdsourcing is widely used in various fields to collect goods and services from large participants.Evaluating teaching quality by collecting feedback from experts or students after class is not only delayed but also not accurate.In this paper,we present a crowdsourcing-based framework to evaluate teaching quality in the classroom using a weighted average operator to aggregate information from students’questionnaires described by linguistic 2-tuple terms.Then we define crowd grade based on similarity degree to distinguish contribution from different students and minimize the abnormal students’impact on the evaluation.The crowd grade would be updated at the end of each feedback so it can guarantee the evaluation accurately.Moreover,a simulated case is shown to illustrate how to apply this framework to assess teaching quality in the classroom.Finally,we developed a prototype and carried out some experiments on a series of real questionnaires and two sets of modified data.The results show that teachers can locate the weak points of teaching and furthermore to identify the abnormal students to improve the teaching quality.Meanwhile,our approach provides a strong tolerance for the abnormal student to make the evaluation more accurate.

A Preliminary Study on the Teaching Evaluation Language of Art Teachers in Rural Middle Schools

Teachers'teaching evaluation language is an important part of art class teaching,which can directly affect students'interest in art class.Taking the teaching evaluation language of rural art teachers as the research object,this paper analyzes the main problems existing in teachers'teaching evaluation language through questionnaire survey,case analysis and interview.This paper puts forward some improvement strategies for teachers'teaching evaluation language from the aspects of management,concept and use,so as to provide some reference for junior middle school art teachers'teaching evaluation language.

Evaluation Principles,Standards and Operating Strategies of Ideological and Political Teaching in Science and Engineering Courses

The reform of ideological and political education in science and engineering courses continues to deepen,and the establishment of a practical teaching evaluation system is the main goal.Combining the relevant requirements of the ideological and political education in science and engineering courses,establishing a teaching evaluation system needs to follow the corresponding principles to ensure that the teaching content is reasonable and the teaching objectives are clear.The selected teaching method is flexible and effective,which facilitates the improvement of teaching quality and feedback of teaching situation.In this regard,the paper mainly analyzes the principles and standards of ideological and political teaching evaluation for science and engineering courses,and chooses reasonable and operable measures in-line with actual requirements to apply them in practice,and strive to serve as a reference for subsequent related research.

A Research on the Function of Teaching Evaluation for Machine Translation Course

Teaching evaluation refers to the process of measuring and giving value judgment to the process and results of teaching activities by using effective technical means.Through teaching evaluation,teachers can direct the teaching process to develop toward the predetermined goal and effectively complete the teaching task.This paper investigates the function of teaching evaluation in the Machine Translation course in Northeastern University.The function of teaching evaluation for teachers includes adjustment,diagnosis,teaching stimulation,and orientation.The function of teaching evaluation for students includes feedback,guidance,intensification,and purpose orientation.This paper also discusses the influence of teaching evaluation on the psychology of both,teachers and students.Positive evaluation can improve the enthusiasm of teachers and students,but other times,it may reduce their enthusiasm,whereas when negative evaluation and guidance are appropriate,the enthusiasm of teachers and students may improve.This research reveals that a reasonable teaching evaluation plays a huge role in promoting the psychology of both,teachers and students.

Student Evaluations of the Courses in Medical Psychology at the Medical Department of the RWTH Aachen: A Three-Year Report

Introduction: With the introduction of a new curriculum “Modellstudiengang Medizin” in Aachen, the education in medical psychology was also restructured. This paper presents data from the students’ evaluations of the Basic Course in Medical Psychology and the new teaching format “Systemblock Psyche” over a three-year time span. Method: All students were asked to evaluate the courses anonymously online. Effect sizes [1] were calculated to compare acceptance of the different course types and also changes across time. Results: Both the Basic Course in Medical Psychology and the Systemblock Psyche were rated as “good” to “satisfactory” and were in their overall acceptance comparable to other courses and system blocks. Continuous improvement in acceptance was found for the Basic Course (d = 0.30 - 0.57). The Systemblock Psyche received varying evaluations but achieved higher scores on comprehensibility (d = 0.20) and communication among teachers (d = 0.34) than other system blocks. On the other hand, students rated the education in medical psychology as less relevant than other courses (d = 0.28 and 0.77, respectively). Conclusion: Overall, the acceptance rating was satisfactory and comparable to other evaluation studies conducted in earlier curricula. However, ratings of the relevance of the courses in medical psychology were disappointing and indicate the difficulty of teaching a biopsychosocial model to medical students.

A Study on College English Classroom Teaching from the Perspective of Educational Ecology

College English education is an integral part of China’s higher education system.However,there are still problems in the teaching,such as students’lack of subjectivity,rigid teaching environment and single form of teaching method.In the perspective of educational ecology,this paper explains the basic concepts of educational ecology,and under the guidance of ecological theory,interprets the reasons for the imbalance of the current English teaching ecological environment,and puts forward strategies to improve the quality of college English classroom teaching in order to guarantee the quality of college English Classroom teaching.

The Evaluation Practice at a Sino-British University

As an institution,Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University(XJTLU)is unique in China.It is the only Chinese institution that awards students both UK degree and Chinese degree,so it has two sets of control,one of which is to meet all the requirements of the UK Higher Education(HE)standards and the other is to go through all the requirements of Chinese degree awarding powers.Due to its specific relationship with University of Liverpool(UoL),XJTLU is also under close scrutiny from UoL.All of these are reflected in the XJTLU internal and external Quality Assurance(QA)frameworks and procedures.This article focuses on describing and analysing how XJTLU monitors the teaching and assessment processes to meet the UK HE QA standards.Generally,the monitoring system is robust and multidimensional,involving students and peers as observers/reviewers.To understand students’perspectives on the teaching quality and their learning experience,the university provides official channels for students to provide ratings and/or qualitative comments on modules and instructors at the middle and the end of semester,while module instructors are expected to do reflection and revision of their teaching accordingly.In addition to that,each module instructor has to observe a peer’s class annually and engage in dialogues with the peer reviewer before and after the observation.To ensure the quality of assessment tasks and marking standards,module leaders have to actively communicate with internal moderators,UoL moderators and external moderators in the Assessment Preparation Review(APR)and Marking Moderation Review(MMR)processes.In general,the evaluation practice of teaching and assessment plays an important role in ensuring the educational quality is maintained and enhanced at XJTLU and is comparable with international best practice.So far,many disciplines at the university have been certified by international professional organizations,which strengthens the university’s global positioning,and directly improves the competitiveness of graduates in the global job market.The author hopes to provide some insights of the QA practice at XJTLU to help teachers and education administrators in different contexts to understand the benefits and progress to be made in terms of teaching and assessment evaluation to ensure the high quality of student training.

Evaluating Communicative Teaching Method With Consideration of Psycholinguistics

Reform and Practice of the Course “Road Engineering Construction Technology and Organization” Based on Smart Classroom

Smart classroom is an inevitable result of the deepening integration of new-generation information technology and education means,and it is an unavoidable choice of university education informatization in the intelligent era.The Bridge-in,Outcomes,Pre-assessment,Participatory Learning,Post-assessment,and Summary(BOPPPS)model is used to construct the effective teaching mode of a smart classroom based on the analyses of the connotation and characteristics of a smart classroom,and the teaching reform and practice are carried out on the“Road Engineering Construction Technology and Organization”course.Through a questionnaire survey,it is found that the construction of a smart classroom effective teaching model can fully mobilize students’learning enthusiasm and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of students’learning.

针对网络思政课教学效果的评价,通过对不同教学方式和情绪调节方式的比较研究,发现图文视频和互动教学可以显著提高对教学效果的主观评价,情绪调节与教学方式的交互效应显著,认知重评型对图文视频+互动教学评价高,表达抑制型对单向灌输评价高;教学方式对理解成绩的主效应显著,视频图文和互动教学可以显著提高理解成绩,情绪调节方式与教学方式的交互效应显著影响再认和理解成绩,认知重评型在互动教学下的再认和理解成绩更优,表达抑制型在图文视频+互动教学下的再认和理解成绩最高和次高,显示了情绪体验和认知资源分配对网络思政课教学效果评价的重要影响。

Cultivation of Innovation Ability of Students in the Discipline of Food Science and Engineering from the Perspective of Engineering Professional Certification

Cultivating the top-notch innovative talents is an essential task for connotative construction of higher education.As an applicationoriented discipline,the Discipline of Food Science and Engineering attaches great importance to the cultivation of innovation ability of college students.For a long time,however,the discipline education has problems of the inverted teaching subject position,weak coordination ability and single practice mode.The support for the cultivation of innovation ability is weak and ineffective.Therefore,in the context of professional certification of engineering education,it is necessary to make reform of traditional education mode and improve the carrier support and target acquisition taking the Outcomes-based Education(OBE)as guide,the innovation ability cultivation as objective,to provide effective guarantee for cultivation of the top-notch talents.These have become issues that should not be ignored in the development of the Discipline of Food Science and Engineering.

Implementation of Online Teaching Behavior Analysis System

Online teaching is gradually spreading widely,but there are problems in online teaching evaluation,such as lack of reference index,students’learning state feedback being hard to get in real-time.To improve online teaching quality and evaluation,a classroom behavior analysis and evaluation system based on deep learning face recognition technology is proposed.This system conducts the model training and tests on the deep learning development framework(TensorFlow).It implements the frame image processing through the Mask R-CNN network,extracts the skeleton and the angle direction information to establish the vector,thus carries out the classroom behavior recognition and analysis,and serves as the appraisal important index.The behavior analysis is made and the results show that the recognition rate is high and the learning situation feedback is given in real time.The experiment shows that the system has certain robustness and high accuracy in the real scene.It is convenient for classroom teaching management and implementation,and is helpful to improve the teaching quality.
