The Construction of New Diversified Teaching Modes Based on the Training of Workplace English Proficiency-- Research on Vocational Public English Practical Teaching

The current vocational public English education system can not meet the demands of society and market, so there＇ s still a big gap between the capacity of students＇ workplace English and market demands. Therefore, the vocational public English teaching should change the traditional English teaching modes, and construct new diversified teaching modes based on the training of workplace English proficiency, which enables students to master the workplace English through practical work tasks. The practical teaching process is an effective way to realize this teaching aim. So the training of students＇ workplace English capacity is the primary task of English teaching reform in vocational colleges.

Contrastive Study of Differences between Chinese and American Higher Education Teaching Modes

This paper,based on the classroom teaching in University of Bridgeport and Anhui Polytechnic University,explores some differences in education notions,course design,teacher-student relationship,teaching methods,assessment and evaluation system between Chinese and American higher education.And some reflections and suggestions on Chinese higher education are given to promote Chinese higher education effect.

Eight CAI Modes in Language Learning and Teaching

This paper discusses computer application in language learning and teaching, and suggests 8 modes in the language learning and teaching. It is concluded that the computer can best assist instructors in language learning and teaching if it is seen not as a replacement for their work but as a supplement to it, the computer-assisted learning has stressed the individualization of instruction, and the learner can work at his or her own pace.

Innovative Teaching Research on Literary Theory and Criticism

As a core compulsory course for English majors majoring in teacher education,Literary Theory and Criticism plays an important role in enhancing text understanding,cultivating critical thinking,and shaping correct values in the future development of students.Influenced by traditional teaching ideas,students have many difficulties when learning this course,such as insufficient theoretical understanding,inadequate ability improvement,and not enough investment in course learning.In response to the above issues,this course focuses closely on the fundamental task of“cultivating virtue and nurturing people”,relying on modern information technology and introducing research methods of digital humanities.This course uses“7C”teaching mode under the“three-level integration”,in which“teaching”and“education”are carried out synchronously,and“teacher”and“student”are developed together,in order to greatly enhance students’learning participation and course satisfaction.

Analysis of the Application Value of Virtual Reality Combined with Flipped Classroom Teaching Mode in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Teaching

Objective:To analyze the value of using virtual reality combined with the flipped classroom teaching model in teaching cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR).Methods:Two classes of our nursing program were randomly selected for the study from September 2022 to September 2023,Class A(52 students,conventional teaching method)and Class B(52 students,virtual reality combined with flipped classroom teaching mode).The assessment scores and independent learning ability scores of the students in the two classes were compared.Results:CPR theory and operation scores,passing rate,and independent learning ability scores of Class B were higher than those of Class A(P<0.05).Conclusion:the use of virtual reality combined with the flipped classroom teaching mode in CPR teaching is conducive to the improvement of students’assessment scores and independent learning ability.

Design and Application of“STEM+”6E Teaching Mode in Information Technology Teaching

The concept of“STEM+”integrates art,humanistic literacy,and social values in the traditional STEM education concept,advocates cross-disciplinary integration,and aims to cultivate compound talents equipped to tackle future challenges.In 2022,the Ministry of Education issued the“Compulsory Education Information Technology Curriculum(2022 Edition),”emphasizing the core literacy of information science and technology and the integration of interdisciplinary disciplines,and encouraging the teaching mode suitable for discipline characteristics.The 6E teaching mode is a student-centered teaching strategy characterized by active exploration and cross-disciplinary integration.This article innovatively designed the“STEM+”6E teaching mode,which is applied to junior high school information technology teaching,which can better achieve core literacy teaching goals.

A Study on the Implementation Path of the Blended Teaching Model in Geological Hazards Investigation and Evaluation

Geological Hazards Investigation and Evaluation is the core course of Environmental Geological Engineering,aiming to cultivate skilled talents with solid theoretical knowledge and excellent practical skills.At present,the course faces several issues,including a teaching environment disconnected from real-world work scenarios,course content that deviates from job-related tasks,a lack of digital teaching resources,and reliance on a single teaching method,leading to students’poor feedback from employers.Based on the concept of outcome-based education,the course team of Geological Hazards Investigation and Evaluation establishes a“five-step double-rotation”blended teaching model with the help of a Small Private Online Course platform.The program is designed to improve the teaching environment and expand the digitalized teaching resources in order to improve students’learning motivation,enhance learning effectiveness,and cultivate skillful talents who meet employers’satisfaction.

How a Computer Assists English Teaching and Learning among Vocational Colleges

"College English Curriculum Requirements", edited by Department of Higher Education(2007), put forward clearly one of the key points of the national College English teaching reform was to strengthen the application of computer to college English teaching and apply computer-and-classroom-based English teaching mode, improving the previous mode dominated by a single teacher. Most colleges and universities in China have basically achieved the popularity of computer multimedia classrooms and campus networks. However, according to researches(Xia, 2002), most teachers still hold the main role of them in classes as"language interpreter"and"language instructor". Although advanced computer technology has been provided, most teachers feel confused or difficult in using it to assist their English teaching efficiently. As a consequence, computer technology fail to play its role in English classes. Driven by the great development of science and technology, computer has brought about incredible changes in every aspect of social life since 1980 s. In current times, almost every aspect of college students' life has been closely associated with computer. However, in most situations, computer is not taken as a typical language learning tool in their daily life. It is known that most students' English basis is relatively weak in vocational colleges; meanwhile, the way in which they learned English during the middle school period was basically translation- based teaching. Thus they have little or even no interest in English learning at all. In this way, discovering a new and interesting way with the aid of computer to learn English is of essential importance. Based on this, the paper discusses five major aspects under the circumstance of computer-assisted English learning. It is hoped that vocational college English teaching and learning can become more efficient by means of computer technology, finally students' English learning motivation and English competence can be enhanced to a great extent.
