Such tcg coupling can contribute significan...In the framework of topcolor-assisted technicolor (TC2) model, there exist tree-level flavor-changing (FC) couplings, which can result in the loop-level FC coupling tcg. Such tcg coupling can contribute significant clues at the forthcoming Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experiments. In this paper, based on the TC2 model, we study some single t-quark production processes involving tcg coupling at the Tevatron and LHC: pp(pp) → tq (q = u, d, s), tg. We calculate the cross sections of these processes. The results show that the cross sections at the Tevatron are too small to observe the signal, but at the LHC it can reach a few pb. With the high luminosity, the LHC has considerable capability to find the single t-quark signal produced via some FC processes involving coupling tcg. On the other hand, these processes can also provide some valuable information of the coupling tcg with detailed study of the processes and furthermore provide the reliable evidence to test the TC2 model展开更多

At the LHC, the production rates of processes ...In this paper, we study the single neutral top-higgs (h0) production processes at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and the International Linear Collider (ILC). At the LHC, the production rates of processes pp →Z(W)h0 are too small to detect ht0. However, with the reasonable parameter values, the cross sections can reach the level of 102 fb for qq→qqh0process and 103 fb for top quark associated production process pp → th0 + X, respectively. At the ILC, we study the single top-higgs production processes e-y → veW-h0 and yy → W+W-h0 in e-y and yy collisions. It is found that the production cross sections can reach the level of a few t-b with reasonable parameter values. Furthermore, such processes with the flavor-changing decay mode h0 tO might provide typical signatures to detected the top-higgs. Therefore, it is hopeful to find the signal of top-higgs at the LHC and ILC experiments via theses processes and test the TC2 model directly.展开更多

With the yearly integrated luminosity of £~ 500 fb~(-1) expected at the planned colliders, one could collect thousands of charged top-pion ofevents via the process e~+ e~- → tbΠ_t~- and hundreds of events via the process e~+ e~- →W~+Π_t~-. The flavor changing decay mode Π_t~- → bc is the best channel to detect chargedtop-pion due to the clean SM background. With a large number of events and the clean background, thecharged top-pion should be observable at the planned colliders. The results show that with the flavor changing coupling of neutral toppion to top and charm quark, toppion provides a large -channel resonance effect. The signal of single top production could be detected at LHC. Otherwise, the narrow peak in the invariant mass distribution could be clearly detected both at upgraded Tevatron and LHC. Therefore, such single top production process provides a unique way to test TC2 model via the detection of -channel neutral toppion contribution.展开更多
