Role of Information Technology in Manufacturing

Manufacturing of a product is constituted of the va ri ous attributes such as quality, cost, performance, and time to market. Manufactu ring can also be understood as the entire product realization process, from spec ification through design and production to marketing and distribution. The induc tion of Information Technology (IT) in manufacturing includes the hardware that computes and communicates, the software that provides data, knowledge, and infor mation while at the same time controlling the hardware, and the interfaces betwe en computers and the tools and machines on the shop floor. The manufacturing pro cess utilizes IT in the design of products and processes, production, and manufa cturing-related business practices. IT applications applied to manufacturing helps in rapid shifts in production fro m one product to another, faster implementation of new concepts in products, fas ter delivery of products to customers, full utilization of capital and human res ources, streamlining of operations to focus on essential business needs, and eli mination of unnecessary or wasteful activities. IT can be used to meet a range of needs of manufacturing decision makers. It can be said that IT is an enabler and facilitator of radical change to culture of manufacturing which is highly co nservative for many good reasons. With increasing global competition, applications of global information technolog y is giving manufacturing unit an opportunity to increase control and enhance co ordination, while opening doors to new global markets and businesses. In some st udies conducted it ahs been shown that how information technology can produce pr oductivity gains and job losses in specific areas, whereas dynamic stability was also achieved through IT in some cases. In a study of an industry the IT has cu t manufacturers cost from eProcurement to web based supply chain management and after sales service. IT has certainly revolutionized the manufacturing and the i ndustries have completely redefined their business by switching over to World Wi de Web. This paper, attempts to review the significant advances and practical applicatio ns of information technology in the field of manufacturing.

The Influence of New Media on College Students’Ideological and Political Education and the Countermeasures

In recent years,new media has been booming in our country.College students can learn about everything happening in the world in real time through the Internet,which speeds up their understanding and acceptance of information.However,due to the relatively simple environment the college students grew up in,the incomplete formation of their own values,and the mixture of information on the Internet,learning through the Internet can have adverse effects on the psychology of college students.Based on the in-depth and systematic exploration of the current situation on ideological and political education in colleges and universities,this paper analyzes the existing problems of ideological and political education in colleges and universities under the influence of new media.In view of these problems,an in-depth study on the innovation of ideological and political education in contemporary colleges and universities was conducted,and this paper puts forward relevant improvement methods for the discussion and exchange of the industry.

Effect Analysis of Hospital Nursing Management Based on Informatization

Objective:To explore the effect ofhospital nursing management based on informatization.Methods:167 inpatients from different departments in our hospital from June 2020 to November 2019 were randomly selected and divided into control group and observation group.83 cases in the control group were treated with traditional nursing management mode;87 cases in the observation group used modem nursing information management system for information-based nursing management,and then compared the two groups in terms of nursing management efficiency,patient basic nursing,ward management,specialized nursing and nursing satisfaction,so as to verify the clinical application effect of information-based nursing management.Results:After the application of information-based nursing management mode,the construction and application of information management system made the nursing management process more standardized and accurate.Therefore,the clinical nursing efficiency,basic nursing,ward management,specialized nursing and nursing satisfaction of the observation group were better than those of the control group.Conclusion:In the practice ofhospital inpatient nursing management,the scientific use of information technology and information management system can significantly improve the efficiency of patient nursing management and nursing satisfaction,and play a key role in improving the prognosis of patients.Therefore,it is worth popularizing and applying in the whole hospital and even the national grass-roots hospitals.

Immigration in Portugal： An Approach to ＂Lusophone＂ Media System

The purpose of this essay is to discuss the ＂Lusophone＇＇l media system, inside the ＂Lusophone＂ migration system, from the perspective of data collected in an empirical work. For this purpose, we discuss the concept of ＂Lusophone＂ and ＂Lusophone＂ migration system, and we present the context of immigration in Portugal. The empirical work involved 14 in-depth interviews2 and started by presenting, in broad strokes, some important aspects relating to the history of ＂Lusophone＂. The analysis of the interviews was sustained in the theories of economic and political ＂world-system＂ developed by Braudel （1949） and Wallerstein （2004） and extended to the concept of migration systems of Kritz and Zlotnik （1992）. Their proposals were further developed by the Portuguese sociologist Baganha （2009） who defended the particularity of a ＂Lusophone＂ migration system. Based on those concepts, we describe the theoretical and empirical research and methodological procedures, stressing the trajectories of migration, social mobility and consumption of media and Information Communication Technologies （ICT）. We analyze the interviews, highlighting the similarities and differences, regarding the uses and consumptions of media and ICTs, between Brazilians and Finally based on the results, we discuss the characteristics the citizens from Portuguese-speaking African Countries of this ＂Lusophone＂ media system.

Current Trends in Online Programming Languages Learning Tools: A Systematic Literature Review

Students face difficulties in programming languages learning (PLL) which encourages many scholars to investigate the factors behind that. Although there a number of positive and negative factors found to be effective in PLL procedure, utilising online tools in PLL were recognized as a positive recommended means. This motivates many researchers to provide solutions and proposals which result in a number of choices and options. However, categorising those efforts and showing what has been done, would provide a better and clear image for future studies. Therefore, this paper aims to conduct a systematic literature review to show what studies have been done and then categorise them based on the type of online tools and the aims of the research. The study follows Kitchenham and Charters guidelines for writing SLR (Systematic Literature Review). The search result reached 1390 publications between 2013-09/2018. After the filtration which has been done through selected criteria, 160 publications were found to be adequate to answer the review questions. The main results of this systematic review are categorizing the aims of the studies in online PLL tools, classifying the tools and finding the current trends of the online PLL tools.

Transcending the Dualities in Digital Education: A Case Study of Singapore

This study explores the complex dualities in digital education,focusing on the case study of Singapore.It highlights the ethical issues surrounding the integration of information and communication technology(ICT),especially artificial inteligence,in the education sector.The paper presents a theoretical framework to explore these dualities,examining how they have been navigated in Singapore's policy reforms to enhance digital education.These dualities include centralisation vs.decentralisation of resource orientation;customisation vs.standardisation of curriculum,formal vs.informal learning with respect to pedagogical approaches;human agency vs.technological automation for data interpretation;and peaks of excellence vs.equity in achievement outcomes.These aspects significantly impact the outcomes of ICT-enabled reforms.The study draws upon Singapore's longitudinal trajectory of integrating ICT in education,illustrating its efforts in reconciling these dualities.The findings underscore the importance of careful consideration and balance in integrating ICT in education,emphasising the need to transcend these dualities to build a more inclusive digital learning environment.
